Abstract

Every industrial activity has the potential to make pollution on agricultural land, in general waste out of that factory is dumped directly into the river, where the waste can be a waste of toxic for the environment. The study aims to get information from the soil sample has been meticulous about the level of pollution in farming caused by waste disposal a textile mill which is located in Bandung. The experiment at the different places, there is the area which located closer by pollution source (a) and area which far from pollution source (b). After we’ve done the measurement, we got some data, there are PH (a) =7,8, PH(b) = 7,1, TDS dan EC (a) = 0,161 - 0,313 dan 0,34 - 0,627, TDS dan EC (b) = 0,06 - 0,206 dan 0,127 - 0,419, cfd % (a) = 0,66 – 2,4 % , cfd % (b) = 3,26 – 3,76 %.  That data is shown the pollution of the soil at the place, it is area (a), which specification are PH (>>), TDS and EC (>>) and cfd % (<<), it means the soil is alkali with big grain and has high salt concentration. Abstract

Exploration of gold mining in Pangalengan, Bandung is one of traditional and illegal method used by villager there. The exploration gives a lot of environmental damage such as landscape and structure changing, also pollution of nature because there is no control of sewerage system or tailing gold system for the likes of Mercury (Hg) and Lead / Plumbum (Pb). The objective of this research is to know the trend pattern of mining waste distribution in Pangalengan, Bandung using Electricity Method with measurement parameter of conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), and acidity level (pH). There were two methods to take the measurement, first, took the soil sample by using coring with 0.3 meters deep with 2 inch diameter at the riverbank and channel from the sewerage places which has heavy metal elements. And second is laboratory test. The increase in heavy metal trend pattern usually has an increase in mining areas, and decrease departs from mining area. Heavy metal hoarding usually take an increase in the area of upper course of the river, it happens allegedly because of he of water flow rate. Abstract

Despite the broadly usage in geophysical fields due to its non-intrusiveness, inexpensiveness and fast deployment, self-potential (SP) method still posses challenges in the interpretation. In this work, quantitative identification of SP parameters such as the shape factor of cylindrical and spherical objects, the depth of burial, the polarization angle and the electric dipole moment is addressed. Three approaches of quantitative interpretation are used, i.e., a derivative method, a least-squares method and an iterative inversion based on the Levenberg-Marquardt method. The above approaches were first tested on a theoretical synthetic model, where a close agreement between the presumed and calculated parameters was obtained. Application to the real data was conducted by analyzing the SP anomaly obtained from a buried cylindrical conductive object at certain depth.

Abstract

Quantitative numerical modeling of self-potential (SP) anomaly associated with subsurface electric current density that is attributed to cross-coupling between fluid flow and electrical conductivity distributions has been conducted. The modeling scheme was applied to an area in the vicinity area of Domas crater, Tangkuban Parahu volcano in West Java. The field surveys at domas were conducted from mid-2008 until mid-2009. The main objective of this researchis to obtain a quantitative model that is possible to explain the shallow convective hydrothermal system in the eastern side of the volcano by making comparison between SP anomaly measured on the surface with theoretical anomaly resulted from modeling. Since the modeling scheme requires information on the subsurface resistivity structure, we performed measurement and interpretation of 2-D resistivity at Domas crater. The measurement of CO2 emission that is commonly associated with magmatic gas migration patterns through fracture system was also carried out on the same SP and resistivity lines. Fluid velocity vector was calculated by solving the coupled Darcy’s and energy equations involving heat transfer terms by both convection and conduction. The subsurface electric current source distribution was calculated by solving the coupled equation of velocity and potential gradients. The results show that the fluid flow patterns around Domas Crater which in addition is controlled by topographic effect; it is also influenced by thermal fluid flows through relatively high permeability zone beneath the Domas Crater.

Abstract

Sungai Citarum merupakan sungai utama yang ada di Provinsi Jawa Barat yang sangat penting bagi kehidupan sosial dan ekonomi. Di bagian hilir, Sungai Citarum ini banyak melewati daerah pemukiman padat penduduk, daerah industri, dan bahkan pesawahan. Oleh karena itu, perlu kajian mengenai kondisi Sungai Citarum salah satunya dengan mengidentifikasi parameter electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolve solid (TDS), pH dan suhu serta karakteristik mineral magnetik pada sedimen melalui analisis sifat magnetik, mineralogi dan morfologi magnetiknya. Pengukuran parameter EC, TDS, pH dan suhu dilakukan secara in situ pada sampel air Sungai Citarum, pengukuran sifat magnetik dilakukan pada sampel sedimen yang telah dipreprasi, sedangkan pengukuran mineralogi dan morfologi dilakukan pada sampel sedimen yang telah diekstraksi. Sifat magnetik sedimen diketahui dari nilai suseptibilitas magnetik dual frekuensi yang diukur menggunakan Bartington Magnetik Susceptibilitymeter, sedangkan mineralogi dan morfologi magnetik diketahui berdasarkan hasil pengukuran scanning electron microscope–energy disperdsive x-ray (SEM-EDS) dan x-ray diffractometer (XRD). Hasil pengukuran secara in situ pada sampel air menunjukkan bahwa rentang nilai EC, TDS, pH dan suhu berturut-turut adalah (200–4120) mS/cm, (100–2060) ppt, 7,34–9,22, dan (26,8–32,6) oC. Sedangkan, hasil pengukuran sifat magnetik menunjukkan bahwa sampel sedimen Sungai Citarum bagian hilir memiliki nilai suseptibilitas magnetik frekuensi rendah (cLF) dengan rentang (65,00–173,80) x 10-8 m3/kg, sedangkan rentang nilai suseptibilitas magnetik frekuensi tinggi (cHF) adalah (64,90–165,70) x 10-8 m3/kg. Dari kedua pengukuran cLF dan cHF diperoleh rentang nilai cFD (%) sebesar 0,15–4,66. Selanjutnya, hasil analisis morfologi dari citra SEM-EDS dan analisis mineralogi berdasarkan pengukuran XRD menunjukkan dominasi jenis mineral magnetik pada sampel sedimen adalah magnetit. Mineral magnetit ini memiliki morfologi berbentuk oktahedral sebagai representasi mineral magnetik alami dan ada pula yang berbentuk spherule sebagai representasi mineral magnetik karena adanya proses oksidasi akibat kehadiran material antropogenik pada sedimen Sungai Citarum bagian hilir.

Abstract

Agricultural technology innovation such as application of low magnetic field and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) could improve growth of some vegetable plants, such as tomatoes.The objectives of the research were to determine: (1) the effect of low magnetic field treatment on germination of tomato seeds, and (2) the combined effect of mycorrhiza and magnetic field treatments on growth of tomato plants. The first experiment was conducted in the laboratory to test the germination of magnetized and non-magnetized seeds on different growing mediums. The second experiment was conducted in a screenhouse using Randomised Blocked Design with the treatments of exposure of magnetic field (0 and 0.2 mT) and AMF (Glomus sp., Gigaspora sp. and Combination of Glomus sp. and Gigaspora sp.). Both treatments were applied as pre-sowing seed treatments. Results revealed the exposure of seeds to magnetic fields increased the seedling germination percentage, especially in the treatments combined with Gigaspora sp. (90%). Further measurement of plant heights showed that magnetized seeds consistently showed a higher plant height compared to non-magnet treatments. Gigaspora sp. which applied either as single or in mixture with Glomus spp. have shown better effect than Gigaspora sp. alone on the growth of tomatoes

Abstract

Juvenile delinquency (such as smoking, drug use, and acts of bullying) is prone to occur after the COVID-19 pandemic and during digitalization, including students in Islamic-based schools. This study aims to examine the perceptions and attitudes of Islamic school students towards smoking, drugs, and bullying, the demographic differences, and the relationship between these variables. The survey was conducted by distributing 26 questions to 94 Islamic school students. Data were processed using descriptive analysis, comparative (t test and ANOVA) and correlation (pearson correlation test). The results showed that almost half of the students had smoked with the male predominance. Perception toward smoking, attitude towards drugs, and bullying were good in each group; shows the contribution of Islamic education to juvenile delinquency. However, perception towards cigarettes and drugs were significantly higher in the upper grade and anti-bullying attitudes were also significantly higher in the group of students who had never smoked. Based on the results of this study, perception towards smoking, attitude towards drugs, and bullying are interrelated so that handling one variable of juvenile delinquency can have an impact on other variables.

Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah sampah dan penambahan kategori sampah pada masa pandemi COVID-19 telah menjadi problematika bagi masyarakat Indonesia. Faktor masyarakat yang lebih sering menghabiskan waktunya di rumah pada saat pandemi COVID-19 menjadi penyebab meningkatnya jumlah sampah. Fenomena COVID-19 mengubah perilaku masyarakat untuk memakai masker kesehatan sehingga menambah kategori sampah yang dihasilkan oleh setiap rumah tangga. Oleh karena itu, masyarakat Indonesia perlu diberikan pemahaman khusus mengenai cara pengelolaan sampah yang baik dan benar, dan cara memiliki pola hidup sehat saat pandemi COVID-19. Selain itu, efektivitas webinar ini juga perlu diuji apakah kegiatan sosialisasi edukasi berbasis daring efektif dapat dilakukan. Metode kualitatif dengan sumber data primer dipilih untuk membahas evaluasi pelaksanaan webinar “Edukasi Perilaku Sehat selama Pandemi, dari Rumah untuk Indonesia Sehat” secara lebih mendalam dengan memfokuskan penelitian pada aspek-aspek yang ditanyakan dalam kuesioner. Penelitian ini diamati melalui empat tahapan yang saling berhubungan satu sama lain, yaitu tahap pra-persiapan, tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap penyelesaian. Berdasarkan data yang telah diperoleh dari pengisian kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada peserta pada saat sebelum dan sesudah webinar dilaksanakan dapat dilihat adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata peserta. Hal tersebut sejalan dengan respon mayoritas peserta webinar yang menyatakan bahwa materi yang telah disampaikan telah sesuai dan berhasil menambahkan paham baru terkait pengolahan limbah di masyarakat, diikuti kepuasan dari para peserta atas webinar yang telah terlaksana. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa webinar telah terlaksana dengan baik dan telah berhasil untuk mencapai tujuannya yakni mengedukasi masyarakat tentang cara mengelola sampah dengan baik dan benar serta menjaga pola hidup sehat saat pandemi COVID-19.

Abstract

Regional development in Panimbang District, Banten Province, Indonesia, is executed so that the tourism area is not centered solely on the west coast of Pandeglang but also in the surrounding area. The development is carried out in stages from government offices, education facilities, and public facilities. One of the public facilities to be built is a garden. This study aimed to evaluate the condition of the soil layers and fertility for garden construction. The resistivity method determines the soil layer pattern using dipole configuration. Remote sensing methods are used to assess land suitability and soil fertility. Land suitability based on agro-climatic data soil fertility based on physical and chemical parameters is taken from SoilGrids 250 m. The results of the resistivity method showed various values between 1 – 110 Ωm, and there are three layers of soil up to a depth of 3.58 m The first layer is assumed to be silty clay (15 – 30 Ωm), the second layer is assumed to be clay (1 – 5 Ωm), and the third layer is assumed to be silty and sandy soil (70 – 110 Ωm). Based on the remote sensing data, the first layer had an ideal bulk density and cation exchange value, but the pH value and nitrogen content are less ideal. The second layer had an ideal value of cation exchange capacity and pH, a rather ideal bulk density value, and a low nitrogen content and is considered a fertile layer of soil. Abstract

Sungai Citarum merupakan salah satu sungai yang menunjang kehidupan sebagian besar masyarakat Jawa Barat. Akan tetapi, dampak kegiatan manusia telah membuat Sungai Citarum sebagai sungai yang tercemar. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi wilayah hulu Sungai Citarum dengan melakukan pengukuran multi parameter terhadap kondisi air di Sungai Citarum Hulu dan air sumur warga sekitar, terutama Sektor 7. Wilayah penelitian ini secara administratif berada di Desa Pangauban, Kecamatan Katapang, Kabupaten Bandung. Sampel yang diuji pada penelitian ini adalah sampel air sungai dan sampel air sumur milik warga yang tinggal di sekitar Sungai Citarum sebanyak masing-masing enam titik lokasi pengamatan. Hasil pengukuran parameter hidrologi dan kandungan logam berat pada sampel air sungai dan air sumur menunjukan bahwa nilai pH, suhu, dan TDS masih di bawah ambang batas tercemar, sedangkan nilai EC menunjukkan bahwa air sumur dan air sungai telah tercemar. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan analisa kandungan logam berat yang dapat dilihat bahwa terdapat kandungan logam besi (Fe) yang cukup tinggi di atas ambang batas air bersih sehingga air tersebut tidak dapat di konsumsi bagi warga, baik untuk air sungai maupun air sumur. Citarum River is one of the rivers that supports the lives of most of the people of West Java. However, the impact of human activities has made the Citarum River a polluted river in the world. This research was conducted to determine the condition of the upstream area of the Citarum River by conducting multi-parameter measurements to water conditions in the Upstream Citarum River Sector 7 and the wells of the surrounding residents. This research area is administratively located in Pangauban Village, Ketapang District, Bandung Regency.  The samples tested in this study were river water samples at six observation locations and well water samples belonging to the residents living around the Citarum River as many as six observation location points. The results of measurements of hydrological parameters and heavy metal content in river and well water samples indicate that the pH, temperature, and TDS values are still below the polluted threshold, while the EC values indicate that well water and river water have been polluted. This is evidenced by the analysis of heavy metal content which can be seen that there is a high metal content of iron (Fe) above the threshold of clean water so that the water cannot be consumed by residents, both for river water and well water.Kata kunci : hidrologi, logam berat, Sungai Citarum
