Abstract

Excessive fertilizer on farmland can increase or decrease mineral elements in the soil. If there is a change in the structure, then the land is a suspected of having the potential to experience contamination that affects the soil fertility. Cropping pattern in a farm area village "X" uses excess fertilizer due to short planting period, so it needs to identify the level of soil fertility on the farmland. One method that could use is the electrical method of rock. This method uses the observable magnetic properties of the ground to figure the value of the soil conductivity. The results showed that farmland in Village "X" has diverse conductivity values but has the same pattern. But when compared with the original soil (not farmland), there are striking differences. In addition to using the electrical method of rock, also conducted the soil color matching using Munsell Color. Keywords: Contamination, Conductivity, Rock Electrical, Munsell Color

Abstract

Every industrial activity has the potential to make pollution on agricultural land, in general waste out of that factory is dumped directly into the river, where the waste can be a waste of toxic for the environment. The study aims to get information from the soil sample has been meticulous about the level of pollution in farming caused by waste disposal a textile mill which is located in Bandung. The experiment at the different places, there is the area which located closer by pollution source (a) and area which far from pollution source (b). After we’ve done the measurement, we got some data, there are PH (a) =7,8, PH(b) = 7,1, TDS dan EC (a) = 0,161 - 0,313 dan 0,34 - 0,627, TDS dan EC (b) = 0,06 - 0,206 dan 0,127 - 0,419, cfd % (a) = 0,66 – 2,4 % , cfd % (b) = 3,26 – 3,76 %.  That data is shown the pollution of the soil at the place, it is area (a), which specification are PH (>>), TDS and EC (>>) and cfd % (<<), it means the soil is alkali with big grain and has high salt concentration. Abstract

Exploration of gold mining in Pangalengan, Bandung is one of traditional and illegal method used by villager there. The exploration gives a lot of environmental damage such as landscape and structure changing, also pollution of nature because there is no control of sewerage system or tailing gold system for the likes of Mercury (Hg) and Lead / Plumbum (Pb). The objective of this research is to know the trend pattern of mining waste distribution in Pangalengan, Bandung using Electricity Method with measurement parameter of conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), and acidity level (pH). There were two methods to take the measurement, first, took the soil sample by using coring with 0.3 meters deep with 2 inch diameter at the riverbank and channel from the sewerage places which has heavy metal elements. And second is laboratory test. The increase in heavy metal trend pattern usually has an increase in mining areas, and decrease departs from mining area. Heavy metal hoarding usually take an increase in the area of upper course of the river, it happens allegedly because of he of water flow rate. Abstract

Sungai Citarum merupakan sungai utama yang ada di Provinsi Jawa Barat yang sangat penting bagi kehidupan sosial dan ekonomi. Di bagian hilir, Sungai Citarum ini banyak melewati daerah pemukiman padat penduduk, daerah industri, dan bahkan pesawahan. Oleh karena itu, perlu kajian mengenai kondisi Sungai Citarum salah satunya dengan mengidentifikasi parameter electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolve solid (TDS), pH dan suhu serta karakteristik mineral magnetik pada sedimen melalui analisis sifat magnetik, mineralogi dan morfologi magnetiknya. Pengukuran parameter EC, TDS, pH dan suhu dilakukan secara in situ pada sampel air Sungai Citarum, pengukuran sifat magnetik dilakukan pada sampel sedimen yang telah dipreprasi, sedangkan pengukuran mineralogi dan morfologi dilakukan pada sampel sedimen yang telah diekstraksi. Sifat magnetik sedimen diketahui dari nilai suseptibilitas magnetik dual frekuensi yang diukur menggunakan Bartington Magnetik Susceptibilitymeter, sedangkan mineralogi dan morfologi magnetik diketahui berdasarkan hasil pengukuran scanning electron microscope–energy disperdsive x-ray (SEM-EDS) dan x-ray diffractometer (XRD). Hasil pengukuran secara in situ pada sampel air menunjukkan bahwa rentang nilai EC, TDS, pH dan suhu berturut-turut adalah (200–4120) mS/cm, (100–2060) ppt, 7,34–9,22, dan (26,8–32,6) oC. Sedangkan, hasil pengukuran sifat magnetik menunjukkan bahwa sampel sedimen Sungai Citarum bagian hilir memiliki nilai suseptibilitas magnetik frekuensi rendah (cLF) dengan rentang (65,00–173,80) x 10-8 m3/kg, sedangkan rentang nilai suseptibilitas magnetik frekuensi tinggi (cHF) adalah (64,90–165,70) x 10-8 m3/kg. Dari kedua pengukuran cLF dan cHF diperoleh rentang nilai cFD (%) sebesar 0,15–4,66. Selanjutnya, hasil analisis morfologi dari citra SEM-EDS dan analisis mineralogi berdasarkan pengukuran XRD menunjukkan dominasi jenis mineral magnetik pada sampel sedimen adalah magnetit. Mineral magnetit ini memiliki morfologi berbentuk oktahedral sebagai representasi mineral magnetik alami dan ada pula yang berbentuk spherule sebagai representasi mineral magnetik karena adanya proses oksidasi akibat kehadiran material antropogenik pada sedimen Sungai Citarum bagian hilir.

Abstract

Juvenile delinquency (such as smoking, drug use, and acts of bullying) is prone to occur after the COVID-19 pandemic and during digitalization, including students in Islamic-based schools. This study aims to examine the perceptions and attitudes of Islamic school students towards smoking, drugs, and bullying, the demographic differences, and the relationship between these variables. The survey was conducted by distributing 26 questions to 94 Islamic school students. Data were processed using descriptive analysis, comparative (t test and ANOVA) and correlation (pearson correlation test). The results showed that almost half of the students had smoked with the male predominance. Perception toward smoking, attitude towards drugs, and bullying were good in each group; shows the contribution of Islamic education to juvenile delinquency. However, perception towards cigarettes and drugs were significantly higher in the upper grade and anti-bullying attitudes were also significantly higher in the group of students who had never smoked. Based on the results of this study, perception towards smoking, attitude towards drugs, and bullying are interrelated so that handling one variable of juvenile delinquency can have an impact on other variables.

Abstract

Kegiatan industri baja yang melibatkan peleburan besi dan baja dapat memicu adanya pencemaran tanah, karena dapat memproduksi limbah dalam bentuk debu dan fly ash yang menyebar terbawa angin lalu mengendap pada tanah permukaan. Dalam penelitian ini telah dilakukan identifikasi pencemaran tanah di kawasan sekitar perindustrian baja melalui parameter suseptibilitas magnetik dan pengukuran Scanning Electron Microscopy – Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM-EDX). Sampel yang digunakan yaitu berupa tanah yang diambil pada titik dari dua lintasan yaitu lintasan 1 dan lintasan 2. Dimana lintasan 2 di desain memiliki jarak yang lebih dekat dengan kawasan perindustrian dibandingkan lintasan 1. Nilai suseptibilitas magnetik (XLF) pada lintasan 1 berada pada rentang 96,9-854,1 (×10^-8 m^3/kg ) dan nilai XFD (%) yaitu 0,13-2,85, sedangkan XLF lintasan 2 berada pada rentang 194,7-3473,9 (×10^-8 m^3/kg) dan nilai XFD(%) yaitu 0,47-1,53. Hasil tersebut menujukkan bahwa nilai XLF pada lintasan 2 cenderung lebih tinggi daripada lintasan 1. Hal ini diduga bahwa limbah yang berupa debu maupun fly ash lebih banyak terakumulasi pada lintasan 2 yang areanya lebih dekat dengan perindustrian baja. Adapun nilai   XFD(%) dari seluruh sampel yang bernilai kurang dari 4% dan adanya korelasi negatif antara nilai XFD(%) dan XLF menunjukkan bahwa mineral magnetik berasal dari sumber antropogenik. Berdasarkan pengukuran SEM-EDX pada sampel di lintasan 1 menunjukkan bulir mineral magnetik yang berbentuk oktahedral dan bulat, yang menunjukkan keberadaan mineral magnetiknya berasal dari sumber pedogenik dan antropogenik. Sedangkan hasil SEM-EDX pada sampel di lintasan 2 menunjukkan keberadaan bulir mineral magnetik berbentuk bulat dan halus yang menunjukkan bahwa mineral megnetik berasal dari sumber antropogenik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menjelaskan pola kandungan air pori (VWC), konduktivitas air pori dan konduktivitas larutan pori di lahan pertanian dan bukan pertanian pada desa Ciwaruga Bandung secara kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik coring di daerah pertanian dan bukan pertanian dimana sampel tanah diambil sedalam 20 cm sebanyak enam titik untuk daerah pertanian dan 2 titik di daerah bukan pertanian. Titik contoh diukur setiap 5 cm menggunakan sensor 5TE Decagon untuk mendapatkan variasi nilai VWC, konduktivitas air pori dan konduktivitas larutan pori terhadap kedalaman. Hasil analisis lahan pertanian menunjukan variasi nilai VWC yang relatif bergerak dari tinggi ke rendah seiring pertambahan kedalaman diikuti dengan pola konduktivitas larutan pori yang berfluktuasi stabil dan mengikuti pola konduktivitas air pori. Sementara lahan bukan pertanian memiliki pola VWC yang berkebalikan dari pola pada lahan pertanian diiringi pola konduktivitas larutan pori yang lebih teratur dan tidak mengikuti pola konduktivitas air pori.Kata kunci: Volumetric water content, konduktivitas air pori, konduktivitas larutan pori

Abstract

Research focused on the identification of soil resistivity distribution at the Ekoriparian Leuwi Padjadjaran area, University of Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, has been conducted using geoelectric resistivity method 2D with dipole - dipole configuration. Three survey lines were measured with the first and second lines being 2 meters long and the third line measuring 6 meters. Electrode spacing was set at 0.2 meters, with 10 electrodes on the first and second lines, and 30 electrodes on the third line. Data processing is done using the Res2Dinv software. The research results indicated that resistivity values in the range of 4.00 Ωm to 20.0 Ωm were interpreted as clay rocks, values from 20 Ωm to 200 Ωm were interpreted as silt rocks, and resistivity values in the range of 256 Ωm to 1024 Ωm were interpreted as sandy clay rocks. Based on the geology of the study area, the soil is a fine-grained soil, namely silt and sandy loam.

Abstract

Harmful substances deposited in the soil can disrupt soil functions, leading to environmental pollution and harm. Pesticides are one example of these harmful substances. Absorption of pesticides into the soil can lead to infertility and negatively impact overall soil health. Therefore, a study was conducted to identify pesticide-saturated soil near the surface and map the soil health conditions around Situ Cisanti. The research utilized geoelectric methods and collected soil and water samples from the inlet (a) and outlet (b) areas of Situ Cisanti. After conducting measurements around Situ Cisanti, the data collected include soil resistivity, ranging from 0.483 to 2.04 Ωm (a) and 658 to 2787 Ωm (b). Soil pH levels were 8.9 - 9.0 (a) and 8.9 (b). Soil Electrical Conductivity (EC) and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) measured 250 - 280 μs and 194 - 207 ppm (a), and 240 μs and 178 ppm (b). Water pH was 7.7 (a) and 8.7 - 9.1 (b). Water EC and TDS were 100 μs and 83 ppm (a), and 80 - 180 μs and 65 - 94 ppm (b). The results indicated higher pesticide contamination in the outlet compared to the inlet, signifying potential risks to soil health.

Abstract

A high quantity of organic waste without proper waste management can endanger public health and environmental sustainability. To reduce the risk that can be caused by organic waste pollution, then there should be a solution. One of them is to make eco-enzyme. Eco-enzyme is a fermented solution from organic waste that can be used as floor cleaner, plant disinfectant, hand sanitiser, plant fertilizer, etc. A good eco-enzyme solution has special properties. One of them is the low-value power of Hydrogen (pH). In this study, other physical properties of eco-enzyme are analyzed. Eco-enzyme was produced from organic waste. Here, Sunkist orange peel and various mixtures of orange peel were used as the main materials of eco-enzyme. The eco-enzyme solutions were carried out for 33 days, accompanied by routine monitoring by reviewing physical parameters such as pH, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), and Electrical Conductivity (EC) values. The results showed the characteristics of the eco-enzyme product by physical properties are the eco-enzyme has an acidic with a low pH value (<3.6) accompanied by high values of TDS (>1000 ppm) and EC (>1500mS/cm). The finding is TDS and EC have high value whereas usually high EC and TDS are owned by polluted liquids.
