Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior, and Islamic work ethics to organizational change on Private Higher Education Lecturer in Surakarta. The development and rapid changes currently requires universities to adjust to the changes that occur, and must be actively making changes internally, arrangement, and organization development, and responsive to external factors. The study population is a lecturer at private universities in Surakarta and a Muslim. Samples taken were 100 respondents. The sampling technique was conducted using purposive sampling. Based on the test results it can be concluded that, organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior, and Islamic work ethic, have a significant impact on organizational change.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to examine and analyze the personal characteristics of the financial administration officials on local agency consisting of locus of control, work experience, gender, equity sensitivity to the ethics of the financial statements on local agency in local government of Surakarta. The population was all employees who work in the government accounting functions in Surakarta. The sample selection criteria using exsidental sampling. Alternative hypothesis tested in this study include: there is a difference between financial administration officials with an internal locus of control and financial administration officials with an external locus of control, senior and junior financial administration officials, financial administration officials of men and women, as well as the financial administration officials benevolents category and financial administration officials entitleds against disclosure, cost and benefit, responsibility, misstate, and timeliness of financial reporting on local agency. Testing  the validity of research data using the Pearson Product Moment. Data reliability was tested using Cronbach Alpha. While this research hypothesis testing using the Mann Whitney U-Test. The results showed there were significant differences on disclosure, cost & benefits, responsibility and punctuality misstate except between financial administration officials on local agency with an internal locus of control and financial administration officials on local agency with an external locus of control. There were no  significant differences between junior and senior financial administration officials on local agency to the disclosure, cost & benefits, misstate and timeliness of preparation, except responsibility. There were no significant differences between financial administration officials on local agency of men and women to disclosure, cost and benefit, responsibility, misstate, and timeliness. Lastly, financial administration officials benevolent and financial administration officials entitled has significant differences on local agency about disclosure, cost and benefit, responsibility, and misstate, except factor timeliness of financial statements.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of the intension of entrepreneurship students of the College of Economics S1 Program in Surakarta. In addition, to examine and analyze the role of creative mediation and proactive attitudes in the influence of emotional intelligence on the intention of entrepreneurship students of the College of Economics S1 Program in Surakarta. The sample in this research is 150 students, sampling using convenience sampling technique. Data quality testing is done by validity and reliability test. While the data analysis used in this study is the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, and path analysis. Based on data analysis, the result is as follows: (1) proved that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant influence to intention of entrepreneurship, (2) proved that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant influence to creativity, (3) proved that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant influence to proactive attitude, (4) proved that creativity has a positive and significant influence to intention of entrepreneurship, (5) proved that proactive attitude has a positive and significant influence to intention of entrepreneurship, (6) proved that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant influence to intention of entrepreneurship with creativity as a mediator variable, (7) proved that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant influence to intention of entrepreneurship with a proactive attitude as a mediator variable. Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediating effect of trust in the pattern of relationships between service quality, corporate image, word of mouth, and customer interest. The research design used was a survey design. The number of samples involved was 80 customers of DPLK Setia Bank in Central Java, Branch Office Simo Boyolali. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with a limitation has been a customer for 1 to 5 years. Methods of data analysis using testing of research instruments, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing using path analysis. The results of this study there is a direct relationship between service quality, company image, word of mouth, and trust in customer interest, and there is an indirect relationship between service quality, company image, and word of mouth to customer interest through trust. Based on the results of this study, it is better for the Central Java Bank's Branch Office Simo Boyolali to be able to provide the best service, strengthen the company's positive image, and implementing effective marketing strategies through word of mouth. So that it increases trust and can attract customer interest.

Abstract

ABSTRAK           Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat efektivitas kinerja Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) dalam menyelenggarakan pendidikan berbasis masyarakat di wilayah Kabupaten Karanganyar. PKBM merupakan salah satu satuan pendidikan nonformal, yang didirikan dan dikelola oleh masyarakat sendiri dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan, serta bakatnya sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidupnya, termasuk dalam meningkatkan pendapatannya. Tidak jarang PKBM menghadapi persoalan dan kendala dalam meningkatkan fungsi dan kinerjanya, terutama dalam menyelenggarakan program pendidikan yang berbasis pada masyarakat. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 25 PKBM. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode total sampling. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, yang dilakukan dalam setting tertentu yang ada dalam kehidupan riil (alamiah) dengan maksud menginvestigasi dan memahami fenomena yang terjadi, peristiwa, sikap, pemikiran, individu atau kelompok. Kata Kunci: PKBM, kinerja, pendidikan berbasis masyarakat, kualitas hidup. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine level of performance effectiveness of Community Learning Center (CLC) in conducting community based education in Karanganyar District. CLC is one of the non formal education units, established and managed by the community itself with the aim of improving knowledge and skills, as well as his talent so as to improve the quality of his life, including in increasing its income. Not infrequently CLC has problems and constraints in improving its function and performance, especially in organizing education programs based on the community. The sample in this research is 25 CLC. The sampling technique is done by total sampling method. In this research using qualitative approach, which is done in certain settings that exist in real life (natural) with the intent to investigate and understand the phenomenon that occurs, events, attitudes, thoughts, individuals or groups. Keywords:  community learning center, performance, community based education, quality of life

Abstract

In every organization, one of the important elements in managing management, is a matter of leadership. The role of the leader is decisive in an effort to reach the target which has been set. The effectiveness of a leader is determined by its ability to influence and direct members of organization. The effectiveness of a leader is also determined by its ability appropriately in anticipation of the nature of the conditions it faces, both the conditions contained within the organization as well as conditions outside the organization. This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of autocratic, democratic, and free leadership style to the spirit and enthusiasm of employees at P.T. Gudang Garam Bojonegoro, and testing the tendency of leadership styles to be applied in an effort to improve the spirit and enthusiasm of employees. The results of testing the quality of the data obtained that all items of question on each variable shows valid and reliable results. While the hypothesis testing obtained that the style of leadership autocratic, democratic, and free have a positive and significant influence on the spirit and enthusiasm of employees. Partial tests show that democratic leadership style has the greatest influence on the spirit and enthusiasm of employees. In this study also disclosed that an effective leadership style is leadership that is tailored to the situation and conditions of the people he leads. Indications of the decline in the spirit and enthusiasm of employees of work is showed by high levels of absenteeism and employee movement. Abstract

Micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the structure of the Indonesian economy occupy the first place in quantity and is a new source in the growth of the domestic economy. During the economic crisis, MSMEs have a high endurance to sustain the Indonesian economy, can even survive the global crisis. Besides that MSMEs also have an important role including as the main driver of job creation, and economic growth both nationally and regionally. To deal with the rapidly changing business environment, MSMEs must have a competitive advantage, good strategic planning, entrepreneurial orientation, and effective performance achievement through innovation efforts. This study aims to test and analyze the influence of the business environment, strategic planning and entrepreneurial orientation on business performance with innovation as mediating variables. The sample in this study was 60 MSMEs in the Surakarta region, and sampling uses purposive sampling, with limits according to the criteria set out in the population and willing to be respondents. This study uses a survey research design. The method of analysis is carried out through testing the quality of data and hypothesis testing using path analysis techniques with SPSS tool version 20. The results showed that the business environment, strategic planning, entrepreneurial orientation had a positive and significant effect on innovation. Innovation variables are variables that mediate the influence of the business environment, strategic planning, and entrepreneurial orientation on business performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the characteristics of students and analyze their perceptions of the development of soft skills, the study was conducted on students of private universities in Surakarta. Soft skills are needed so that students have the ability to relate well to others. At present the ratio of the need for soft skills and hard skills to the world of work is inversely proportional to its development in universities. Soft skills are only given an average of 10% in the curriculum. Meanwhile in the world of work, human resources are required to have adequate hard skills and are proficient in their soft skills. The population in this study were all students at Private Universities in Surakarta. While the sample is 60 students. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling technique. Data analysis method was carried out by using univariate research instruments and analysis. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that students have a positive perception of the development of attributes of soft skills in the form of communication skills, leadership, self-organization, and entrepreneurship. Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of service quality and company image on customer loyalty mediated customer satisfaction at PT. Bank Jateng Sragen Branch Office. This research is a survey research, in which the research instrument is a questionnaire. The population in this study were customers at PT. Bank Jateng Sragen Branch Office. A sample of 100 respondents was determined by convenience sampling technique. Testing instruments using validity and reliability tests. While the hypothesis test used path analysis with the SPSS program version 20. The results of the study found that: (1) there was a positive and significant influence on service quality and company image on customer satisfaction, (2) there is a positive and significant influence on service quality, corporate image, customer satisfaction on customer loyalty, (3) there is a positive and significant influence on service quality and corporate image on customer loyalty with mediated customer satisfaction.
