Abstract

Abstract

This research is to find out how the impact of the caste system in Bali on the life of the Buddhist community. In this study the method used is a qualitative research method with descriptive research results. Buddhism has been known to the Balinese people since ancient times, but in harmony with the development of Hinduism so that they were united into Shiva-Buddha. Balinese Hinduism does not use Indian Hindu culture, but the Balinese Hindu community adheres to their own culture, namely the customs of their ancestors and modern life systems. The Balinese Hindu community always carries out the Menyama Braya concept (the concept of living in harmony and respecting each other in terms of culture and differences) which has been running for generations The social structure of Buddhists in Bali is divided into gharavasa and pabbajita. Buddhists in Bali practice the teachings of the Great Teacher of Buddha, so they are not affected by the caste system that exists in social life. Buddhists in Bali promote tolerance between religions. Behaviorally, Buddhists in Bali have never adhered to the caste system or degree of social status in their daily life and always practice the teachings of Buddha Dhamma. But the Balinese Buddhist community still respects the traditions that apply in Balinese customs. In essence, the relationship between Hindus and Buddhists in Bali is not a problem at all. Because everyone respects each other. And no influence in caste either from family, education, work, marriage, and most importantly all good in thought, speech and behavior.

Abstract

This research is related to Omnichannel integration quality and purchase intention and consumer trust. This study aims to determine the influence of Omnichannel integration quality on purchase intentions mediated by coffee consumer confidence in Surakarta. This research uses causal quantitative research. This study's population consisted of all coffee users at Cafe Surakarta, with an infinite number of participants and a total sample of 100 respondents. The sampling approach employs unintentional sampling. According to the study's findings, the layout of service channels has a considerable beneficial impact on purchase intentions. Consumer confidence is significantly boosted via service channels. The configuration of service channels has a considerable beneficial impact on purchase intentions, which are mediated through customer trust. Integrated contact has no discernible detrimental impact on purchasing intent. Consumer trust is affected through integrated interactions. Purchase intentions are significantly influenced by integrated interactions, which are mediated by customer trust.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of variations in body angle on propulsion force and water resistance in swimming athletes through a biomechanical approach. The background of the study is based on the importance of movement efficiency in swimming, where a less than optimal body position can increase the drag coefficient, thereby slowing swimming speed. The research method uses a quantitative experimental design involving professional and semi-professional level swimmers. The instruments used include a motion capture system to record body movements, force sensors to measure propulsion and water resistance, and biomechanical software to analyze force vectors and drag coefficients. The results show significant differences in swimming performance based on variations in body angle. At an angle of 0°, the average propulsion force generated is 145.3 N with a drag coefficient of 0.92. At an angle of 15°, the propulsion force increases to 162.7 N with the lowest drag coefficient of 0.78. Meanwhile, at an angle of 30°, the propulsion force decreases to 150.1 N with the drag coefficient again increasing to 0.88. These findings demonstrate that a 15° body angle is the most optimal position because it minimizes water resistance while maximizing propulsion, thereby increasing swimming efficiency. The implications of this study suggest that a biomechanical approach can be used as a reference in planning swimming training programs. In addition to contributing to the development of sports science, the results of this study also have practical benefits for athletes and coaches in developing more effective training strategies. Future research is recommended to expand the sample size and include various swimming styles to strengthen the generalizability of the results.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of body angle variations on propulsion force and water resistance in swimmers through a biomechanical approach. This research is motivated by the importance of movement efficiency in swimming, where suboptimal body positions can increase drag coefficient, thus slowing down swimming speed. The method used is a quantitative experimental design, involving professional and semi-professional swimmers. Instruments used include a motion capture system to record body movements, force sensors to measure propulsion and water resistance, and biomechanical software to analyze force vectors and drag coefficient. The results show a significant difference in swimming performance based on body angle variations. At a 0° angle, the average propulsion force is 145.3 N with a drag coefficient of 0.92. At a 15° angle, the propulsion force increases to 162.7 N with the lowest drag coefficient of 0.78. Meanwhile, at a 30° angle, the propulsion force decreases to 150.1 N, and the drag coefficient increases to 0.88. These findings indicate that a 15° body angle is the most optimal position, as it minimizes water resistance and maximizes propulsion force, thus improving swimming movement efficiency. The implications of this study suggest that biomechanical approaches can be used to design more efficient swimming training programs. The findings are also beneficial for swimmers and coaches in developing more effective training strategies.
