Abstract

Implementation of character education in learning, especially in schools or higher education institutions can be done by exploring the values of learning itself. Education toward the formation of character to the learners is the responsibility of all educators. The guidance should be done by all subject teachers and all lecturers, not only charged to teachers or lecturers of certain subjects who do have a dominant portion in character education. One course that may be considered to have very little portion in character education learning is a course that studies programming languages or computer programming. However, when viewed from the objectives and learning process, then this course has many values or learning norms that can be developed as a character education education. This study aims to explore norms or values of characters contained in computer programming learning that can be implemented in everyday life. Some of the character values that can be implemented from computer programming learning include: problem-solving skills, systematic thinking, logical thinking, meticulous detail and creativity through project-based learning, cooperative and discussion methods.

Abstract

Academic information systems in universities are very important for academic activities of lecturers and students who are so dynamic, but this is meaningless if it is not supported by a good level of security of the system itself, especially for lecturers who are unfamiliar with mastering Information Technology. One of the important things in academic information systems is when inputting student grades at the end of the semester, it is necessary to have a security system that can be controlled by the lecturer himself even though the lecturer does not really control information technology. The innovation in making the One Time Password (OTP) feature that is sent to the user's lecturer cellular phone through Short Message Service (SMS) when value is collected, is a simple but reliable security system. This study aims to discuss the application of security to access the WEB-based Academic Information System when lecturers make inputting scores, in the form of security using One Time Password generated from random programs and MD5 hashes that generate an SMS code for authentication.

Abstract

Abstract—E-learning is a form of online learning. Moodle, is a web-based e-learning application that utilizes internet, LAN or WAN networks as a means to convey material and interactions between instructors and students, between lecturers and students in tertiary institutions. Lecturers must not only understand the network and moodle application itself, but also need to master various other computer applications as supporting applications of e-learning, so that what is the goal of online learning, e-learning can be realized as expected. Research in the form of this theoretical study discusses several issues regarding e-learning, especially other computer applications as a means of supporting e-learning, moodle. Keywords—e-learning, online learning, moodle.  Abstrak—E-learning merupakan bentuk dari pembelajaran daring atau online. Moodle, merupakan salah satu aplikasi e-learning berbasis web yang memanfaatkan jaringan internet, LAN atau WAN sebagai sarana untuk menyampaikan materi dan interaksi antara pengajar dan peserta didik, antara dosen dan mahasiswa di lembaga perguruan tinggi. Dosen tidak hanya harus paham mengenai jaringan dan aplikasi moodle itu sendiri namun juga perlu menguasai berbagai aplikasi komputer lain sebagai aplikasi pendukung dari e-learning, sehingga apa yang menjadi tujuan dari pembelajaran daring, e-learning dapat terwujud sebagaimana yang diharapkan. Penelitian berupa kajian teori ini membahas beberapa hal berkenaan dengan e-learning khususnya aplikasi komputer yang lain sebagai sarana pendukung dari e-learning, moodle. Kata Kunci—e-learning, pembelajaran daring, pembelajaran online, moodle.

Abstract

Di era digital terlebih lagi di masa pandemi Covid 19 media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi yang dibutuhkan tidak hanya interaktif, namun dapat juga menggantikan peran guru sepenuhnya dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan tulisan dari artikel ini adalah mengkaji program aplikasi lain yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk mendesain dan membuat media pembelajaran khususnya dalam bidang pendidikan matematika yang dapat mengganti peran guru ketika harus memberikan latihan-latihan soal dan berbagai contoh soal yang beragam, dan bahasa pemrograman Visual Basic yang merupakan salah satu mata kuliah yang juga diberikan di beberapa program studi di perguruan tinggi adalah salah satu aplikasi yang dapat digunakan sebagai pembuat media pembelajaran yang dimaksud tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan melalui studi literatur yang dilakukan secara mendalam dan relevan dengan kebutuhan penelitian.Kata Kunci :Media Pembelajaran, Bahasa Pemrograman, Visual Basic
