Abstract

Ada banyak peran yang telah dimainkan pondok pesantren dan tokoh-tokoh kyai kharismatiknya dalam membumikan nilai-nilai tasawuf, baik dalam tataran wacana maupun praktik, dengan menghidupkan tradisi literasi intelektual terhadap kitab-kitab karya tulis ulama besar di masa lampau, nasional maupun internasional. Dengan begitu, apa yang telah dirintis dan dibangun para kyai dan ulama melalui pondok pesantrennya telah menjelma sebagai corong ilmu dan praktik keagamaan Islam, juga sekaligus menjadi referensi dan respon positif terhadap isu-isu sosial dan budaya masyarakat yang dihadapi. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan studi pustaka ditujukan untuk mengeksplorasi profil Kyai Ihsan Jampes sebagai salah satu tokoh penting ulama nusantara dan perannya dalam membangun tradisi dan nilai-nilai pendidikan pondok pesantren. Komitmen Kyai Ihsan Jampes terhadap praktik-praktik bertasawuf dan berfiqih di sisi yang lain, menunjukkan bahwa sikap beliau berada pada kerangka cara berpikir moderat, yaitu selalu mengedepankan paradigma berpikir yang memandang persoalan tidak dalam bingkai ekstrem, baik ekstrem kanan maupun ekstrem kiri, yang dalam kerangka teologis menjadi potret ajaran Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah.

Abstract

As the oldest educational institution in Indonesia, Islamic boarding schools, famously known as Pesantren, are institutions which have persistence in transforming Islamic values. The persistence of Islamic boarding schools in affirming their role as educational institutions that always keep up with current developments is characterized by a responsive attitude to issues of religious moderation. In the global context, religious moderation is very necessary as a collective commitment to maintaining peace and national integrity. The existence of Islamic boarding schools is again being challenged to be adaptive in responding to problems of religious moderation. This research is intended to answer the problem formulation regarding what the values of religious moderation mean, what are the characteristics of Islamic boarding schools, and how to instil the values of religious moderation in Islamic boarding schools. Through a phenomenological approach and reflective logic, Islamic boarding schools' responses to the dynamics of global problems increasingly appear comprehensive. Islamic boarding schools are increasingly reaffirming their identity as educational institutions that teach tolerant attitudes, respect plurality and preach the teachings of Islam as a bringer of peace. The research results show that Islamic boarding schools are worthy of being a basis for preserving the values of religious moderation through internalizing the values of Tawassut, Tawazun, I'tidal, Tasamuh, Musawah, Shura.

Abstract

Fenomena klaim kebenaran dalam setiap agama sering kali melahirkan ketegangan sosial yang berdampak luas pada relasi antarumat beragama. Klaim eksklusif tentang kebenaran agama sendiri, yang bersumber dari keyakinan teologis, cenderung menghasilkan pemahaman subjektif dan simbolik yang beragam. Perbedaan ini diperparah oleh praktik "standar ganda" dalam menilai agama lain, yang memunculkan prasangka teologis serta menghambat peran agama dalam memperjuangkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Pendidikan Islam berbasis multikultural hadir sebagai alternatif solusi dengan menekankan nilai-nilai toleransi, inklusivitas, dan penghargaan terhadap keberagaman. Pendidikan semacam ini mendorong tumbuhnya kesadaran diri, kecerdasan spiritual, dan kepribadian yang berlandaskan cinta (mahabbah) kepada Tuhan dan sesama manusia. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan pendidikan Islam yang humanistik dan teosentris sangat penting untuk membentuk karakter peserta didik yang toleran, berperikemanusiaan, dan mampu hidup harmonis dalam masyarakat plural. Kesimpulannya yaitu pendidikan Islam untuk perdamaian dan toleransi dalam masyarakat multikultural dapat dilakukan dengan melakukan pendidikan Islam berbasis multikultural dan pendidikan Islam berbasis humanisme teosentris. Pendidikan Islam berbasis humanisme teosentris untuk perdamaian dan toleransi dalam masyarakat multikultural mengarah pada transformasi nilai, ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi juga dilakukan dalam rangka rahmatan lil ‘alamin, dengan menekankan proses pembelajaran ditekankan interaksi aktif antara peserta didik dengan sumber dan lingkungan belajar sehingga peserta didik menemukan dan mengembangkan pengalaman keagamaannya sesuai tahap kemampuan masing-masing. Pendidikan Islam untuk perdamaian dan toleransi dalam masyarakat multikultural dalam setiap proses yang dilakukan dengan menekankan pada penghargaan terhadap keberagamaan setiap individu siswa dan mengedepankan kasih sayang dalam mengajar siswa sebagaimana orang tua terhadap anak kandungnya, tidak ada pilih kasih dalam memberikan perlakukan kepada setiap siswa

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of the Tutur Uwur Sembur (TUS) instructional method in enhancing student academic achievement at MIS Unggulan Masjid Besar Jabalul Khoir, located in Grobogan Regency. Despite the madrasah's considerable institutional potential, student academic performance remains suboptimal. To address this issue, the study adopts a qualitative research approach employing a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and parents; direct classroom observations; and analysis of academic records. Research instruments included structured interview protocols, observation checklists, and document analysis formats. The findings reveal that the application of the TUS method significantly contributes to increased student motivation, heightened classroom engagement, and overall improvement in academic outcomes. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pendidikan Islam dalam menghadapi masyarakat multikultural. Masyarakat multikultural adalah komunitas yang mampu menerima dan menghormati keberagaman, baik dalam hal suku, agama, budaya, jenis kelamin, bahasa, adat istiadat, maupun asal daerah. Multikulturalisme memungkinkan perbedaan ini hidup berdampingan secara harmonis dengan rasa saling menghargai. Nilai-nilai keagamaan yang mendukung moderasi beragama mencakup upaya menjaga keselamatan jiwa, menghormati peradaban yang mulia, memperkuat prinsip-prinsip moderasi, menciptakan perdamaian, serta meneguhkan pluralisme dengan menghormati kebebasan berpikir, berekspresi, dan beragama. Pendidikan Islam bertujuan menghasilkan individu yang saleh secara pribadi maupun sosial, dengan menekankan nilai-nilai keadilan, perdamaian, kesetaraan, dan kemanusiaan, sejalan dengan konsep "rahmatan lil alamin." Dengan demikian, pendidikan Islam secara eksplisit mendukung penghargaan terhadap keberagaman dan multikulturalisme, sebagaimana diajarkan dalam Al-Qur'an dan Hadits.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the entrepreneurship education model through vocational skills at Manba'ul Hikmah and Al Musyaffa' Islamic Boarding Schools in Kendal Regency, focusing on the reasons for its implementation, the process, and the results achieved. The research is based on the important role of Islamic boarding schools in developing students’ religious knowledge, practical skills, and moral character to address the challenges of Society 5.0 and the Industrial Revolution 4.0. A qualitative approach was used with a case study design and a comparative descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation, with purposive sampling applied to select informants. The findings show that the entrepreneurship education model at both boarding schools successfully equips students with vocational and entrepreneurial skills such as agriculture, crafts, digital technology, culinary arts, and business management. Students become more economically independent, capable of managing school business units, and contribute to community economic empowerment. The program also enhances the operational efficiency of the institutions and integrates Islamic values into practical learning. Overall, this integrative entrepreneurship education model effectively prepares students for the workforce, fosters independence, and strengthens institutional sustainability. It can serve as a practical reference for other Islamic boarding schools seeking to develop students’ competencies in line with modern economic and technological demands while maintaining strong Islamic values

Abstract

Meningkatnya paparan peserta didik terhadap narasi keagamaan ekstrem melalui media digital menimbulkan tantangan serius bagi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pembelajaran PAI berbasis moderasi digital terhadap sikap kritis peserta didik terhadap narasi keagamaan ekstrem. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimen dengan melibatkan dua kelompok peserta didik jenjang pendidikan menengah, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang memperoleh pembelajaran PAI terintegrasi dengan prinsip-prinsip moderasi digital dan kelompok kontrol yang mengikuti pembelajaran PAI konvensional. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen skala sikap kritis yang telah divalidasi melalui prosedur pretest dan posttest. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas dan homogenitas, uji independent samples t-test, serta analisis normalized gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik antara skor posttest kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol (p < 0,05). Peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran PAI berbasis moderasi digital menunjukkan tingkat sikap kritis yang lebih tinggi, khususnya dalam menganalisis argumen keagamaan, mengevaluasi kredibilitas sumber digital, serta menolak klaim keagamaan yang bersifat absolut dan intoleran. Selain itu, kelompok eksperimen mencapai tingkat peningkatan sedang hingga tinggi, sedangkan kelompok kontrol hanya menunjukkan peningkatan pada kategori rendah. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi moderasi digital dalam pembelajaran PAI secara efektif mampu memperkuat sikap kritis peserta didik terhadap narasi keagamaan ekstrem. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi empiris bagi pengembangan pedagogi pendidikan Islam, khususnya dalam memperkuat peran moderasi digital sebagai strategi pencegahan ekstremisme keagamaan di lingkungan pendidikan formal.

Abstract

Meningkatnya intoleransi, polarisasi agama, dan disintegrasi sosial di Indonesia menuntut rekonstruksi paradigma pendidikan Islam agar mampu menghasilkan generasi yang moderat, inklusif, dan cinta damai. Pendidikan Islam moderat, yang berakar pada nilai tawaṣṣuṭ (moderat), tawāzun (keseimbangan), tasāmuḥ (toleransi), dan i‘tidāl (keadilan), dipandang sebagai strategi penting dalam membangun harmoni sosial di masyarakat multikultural. Artikel ini menelaah pendidikan Islam moderat sebagai strategi membangun toleransi dan harmoni sosial melalui pendekatan filosofis, pedagogis, dan sosiologis. Secara filosofis, pendidikan Islam moderat berpijak pada konsep Islam raḥmatan lil-‘ālamīn yang menempatkan kemanusiaan sebagai dasar etika keagamaan. Secara pedagogis, pendidikan Islam moderat membentuk karakter toleran melalui pendidikan dialogis, humanis, dan kontekstual, sebagaimana praktik pendidikan Islam Nusantara di pesantren. Secara sosiologis, pendidikan Islam moderat memperkuat kohesi sosial dan menginternalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila. Kajian ini menegaskan bahwa Islam Nusantara dapat menjadi model praksis pendidikan Islam moderat yang efektif untuk memperkuat integrasi bangsa, mengelola perbedaan, dan menciptakan harmoni sosial di Indonesia.

Abstract

Despite the continued development of Islamic education, the internalization and practical understanding of Islamic educational values among learners have not always progressed in a balanced manner. This condition indicates a gap between educational advancement and value-based character formation. This study aims to conceptually examine the Islamic educational values embedded in the attitude of qona’ah and to clarify its relevance to character education within Islamic educational contexts. The research employs a qualitative library research method, drawing on classical and contemporary sources in Islamic education, ethics, and spirituality. Data were analyzed using a descriptive-analytical approach to identify key conceptual themes related to qona’ah as an educational value. The findings reveal that qona’ah represents an integrative value encompassing faith (aqidah), moral conduct (akhlaq), and normative guidance (shari‘ah), which together shape attitudes of simplicity, gratitude, reliance on Allah (tawakkal), self-control, and responsible engagement with material life. Conceptually, qona’ah functions as a foundation for developing balanced individuals who are able to harmonize spiritual consciousness with social and material responsibilities. This study contributes to Islamic educational discourse by offering a coherent conceptual framework that positions qona’ah as a strategic value for character education, thereby reinforcing the integration of spiritual objectives and educational practice in Islamic education.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are the oldest educational institutions in Indonesia and serve as the main pillar of Nusantara Islam, a model of Islam that is harmonious with local culture. In this era of disruption, pesantren face dual challenges: the demands of formal education standards and the massive wave of digitalization. This research employs a qualitative method with a Literature Review approach, using primary data obtained from scholarly journals, while secondary data refers to sources such as the internet, theses, dissertations, and relevant books. The findings reveal that the existence of traditional pesantren as the cornerstone of Nusantara Islamic Education lies in their ability to maintain moral and intellectual autonomy amidst the forces of modernity. The strategy employed by traditional pesantren in carrying out this collaboration is often referred to in the Islamic jurisprudence maxim: "Al-muhafazhatu ‘ala al-qadimi al-shalih wa al-akhdzu bi al-jadidi al-ashlah" (Preserving the good of old traditions and adopting better new traditions). In conclusion, pesantren, from a genealogical perspective, are highly adaptive educational institutions. The existence of pesantren in the era of globalization greatly depends on their ability to integrate traditional and modern curricula.
