Abstract

BSTRACT In 404 Hijri / 1014 C, Andalusia of Cordoba su ered chaotic situations not only in politics but also in other segments of life, especially in sex. Free sex ourished and remained arguable. Based on the situation above, Prince Ubaidillah bin Abdurrachman bin al- Mughirah bin Amirul-Mu’minin An-Nashir, the grandson of Khalifah An-Nashir, asked Ibnu Chazm Al-Andalusia to write a love story with its complexity in a book. This research elaborates the genetic process of the text “Thauqul- Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal-Ullāf” that is considered a great work by either Arabians or non-Arabians. This work is also considered to be the rst work elaborating love and its complexity as its theme. Furthermore, this research disscusses the view of Ibnu Chazm Al-Andalusy about the concept of love (al-chubbun-nazhary) written in the text. The research adopts genetic structuralism theory with its emphasis on literary text (intrinsic analysis), socio cultural background (historic social reality observation), and the writer. The method is dialectic method, mutual relations between structures of a literary work (the intrinsic features of “Thauqul- Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal-Ullāf”), historic materialism (socio cultural background of Andalusia at the time the work was written), and the writer of “Thauqul- Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal-Ullāf”. Therefore, the “Thauqul-Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal- Ullāf” analysis techniques can be done in three ways: (1) revealing one of the text “Thauqul-Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal-Ullāf” structures by its love concept theme to build up the text and understand the whole structures, (2) revealing socio cultural backgroung of Andalusian people at the time Ibnu Chazm lived and was raised, and (3) revealing the writer’s social groups and their visions by their hipogram and transformation works. This Ibnu Chazm’s vision eventually becomes the embrio of the text “Thauqul-Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal-Ullāf”. The result of the analysis concluded by revealing the issue described in the second and third ways can be used to understand the concept of love in the text “Thauqul-Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal-Ullāf”. Eventually this research reveals that Ibnu Chazm’s direct observation to the people of Andalusia where he lived and was raised initiated the genetic process of the text. He formulated what he gained from his observation to be his vision. This vision became the base of “Thauqul-Chamāmah Fil-Ilfah wal-Ullāf”. The conclusion of the research is that according to Ibnu Chazm, most people relate loves to syahwat, free sex, porns, and things like that. However, hesees talking about love as expressing one’s tender feeling from the bottom of his heart to nd the truth of love but not to do disgrace and not to do something forbidden by the syariah because love exists in one’s heart and soul. Meanwhile, Allah SWT holds his heart. Love is about heart and heart belongs to Allah SWT. Therefore, according to Ibnu Chazm, the concept of love must be based on syariah. In another word, the theory of love, the cause of love, expressing love, mantaining love, meeting and “leaving” the one we love must be based on Al Quran and Hadits. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis researchgoals to describe the text structure of Qash?dah Huwa an-N?r based on Badr's structural theory and explain the form of the word and type of q?fiyah used. The method used is qualitative descriptive with technique of analysis in the form of library technique. The results of this research include text structure as Jawwun-Nash, Al-?Ardhu Al-??m Li an-Nashshi, al-Fikrah, ?Awatif, and language styles. The feature of using figure of speech metaphor and hyperbola is expressed in simple words. Based on the research of the form of words and types of q?fiyah, Qash?dah Huwa an-N?r has two types of words, that is some words and one word.While the type q?fiyah include; The variety of q?fiyah is muthlaqah. The alphabetsof q?fiyah are rawiyy muthlaq washl, khur?j, ta's?s, and dakh?l. The Vowels of  q?fiyah are rass, majr?, isyb?' and Naf?dz. The name of q?fiyah is a mutad?rik and disablement of q?fiyah is not found in this qash?dah.

Abstract

The research adopts the genetic structuralism theory with its emphasis on literary text (intrinsic analysis), socio-cultural background (historic social reality observation), and the writer. The method is the dialectic method, mutual relations between structures of a literary work (the intrinsic features of ?Thauqul-Cham?mah fil-Ilfah wal-Ull?f?), historic materialism (socio-cultural background of Andalusia at the time the work was written), and the writer of ?Thauqul-Cham?mah fil-Ilfah wal-Ull?f?. The conclusion of the research is that according to Ibnu Chazm Al-Andalusia, the concept of love (Al-chubbun-nazhary) must be based on syari?ah. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode dialektik yang bekerja dengan bermula dari teks dan berakhir kepada teks ?Thauqul-Cham?mah fil­?Ilfah wal-Ull?f?. Hasil analisis penelitian terkait konsep cinta (Al-chubbun-­nazhary) yang berupa pemikiran kritis Ibnu Chazm Al-­Andalusy adalah konsep cinta yang sesuai syariat. Dengan kata lain, konsep cinta, penyebab orang jatuh cinta, perilaku atau ekspresi orang yang jatuh cinta, menjaga kesucian cinta, pertemuan dan perpisahan, kesemuanya berdasarkan syariat.

Abstract

Developing theme in a text of Arabic reading is the basis in a creative writing. By understanding the pattern of theme development in a text, beginner who wants to write in Arabic is easier in arranging the idea. This article is a research to see a great correlation between thematic progression with the creative writing in Arabic. The book taken as sample was al-Qirâ’ah al-Râsyidah which is used in MAN Karang Anyar and MAN 1 Surakarta. Related to the rheme in developing the theme, the students of both school wrote their daily activity by using thematic progression patterns. The result of the study showed that there is a great correlation between thematic progression pattern with the creative writing in Arabic.DOI: 10.15408/a.v2i2.2090

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the semiotic meaning contained in the poem entitled Syuhadā’ul-`Ilmi wal-Gharbah written by Ahmed Shawqi. Shawqi saw and observed the conditions of the Egyptian people at that time who were experiencing difficulties, sorrow, poverty, ignorance, and British colonialism. Therefore, the Egyptian government sent young people to western countries to study in the hope that after returning to Egypt, they could build their country and nation. In order to reveal the semiotic meaning contained in the poem entitled Syuhadā’ul-`Ilmi wal-Gharbah, the semiotic theory was used through methods of heuristic reading and hermeneutic reading or retroactive reading. Meanwhile, the reading technique was conducted by reading one by one or reading gradually from the heuristic reading to the hermeneutic reading or retroactive reading. The results of the research indicated that knowledge was one of the ways to solve the problems of poverty, ignorance, and resistance to British colonialism in Egypt. However, in reality, young Egyptians who were sent to western countries had accidents and killed them. Therefore, Shawqi emphasized that Egyptian youths remained patient and enthusiastic about seeking knowledge in a foreign country in order to build their state and nation in the future.

Abstract

Infectious plague has seized the attention of a number of experts in various scientific fields and squeezed a number of dimensions of human life. This is also inseparable from the attention of Arabic writers, Egypt, namely Thaha Husain in undergoing an infectious plague era. Through his work entitled Al-Mu'tazilah (1971), Thaha Husain highlights the individual and social conditions of the community at the time when an outbreak of an infectious virus struck and after it passed. This situation is the problem in this study. Thus, the purpose of this study is to describe, describe and critique the attitudes of individuals and social communities in the face of infectious plague. The various attitudes and behaviors presented in this literary text serve as primary research data and are analyzed by descriptive methods. That is an analytical method that emphasizes the description of a qualitative critical analysis data, and not produce numbers as quantitative research. Furthermore, literary reception theory is used to express research analysis by its work, namely the method of textual criticism in order to obtain an objective and scientific analysis, then reinforced by secondary sources related to research. Thus, the results of this study are exemplary individual and social attitudes that can be implemented in contemporary life in the context of prevention, treatment and mutual assistance in dealing with infectious virus outbreaks. In addition, people can refrain from doing things that can harm the social environment.

Abstract

This article was undertaken to investigate the moral ethics learned in the Arabic-Javanese translation text, and how this model of translation can be the main aspect of protecting the indigenous/natural/mother language in Indonesia as a main potential of Asian Cultural Heritage. The data of this research is a Arabic – Javanese translation texts and also some units of language inside the texts. The result of this article shows that there is a connection line between empowering of Arabic Javanese translation and protecting the indigenous language.

Abstract

This article discusses the personality disorder of the main character in the short story Thabliyyah Minas-Sama' by Yusuf Idris. The purpose of this study is to mention and describe personality disorders in the stories Thabliyyah Minas-Sama’ and the factors that cause the main character to experience personality disorders, both of which are problems in this study. The method used in this article is descriptive analysis method. The results of the research that has been carried out are as follows. First, there are seven personality disorders in Thabliyyah Minas-Sama' story, namely, (1) paranoid personality disorder, (2) schizoid personality disorder, (3) schizotypic personality disorder, (4) histrionic personality disorder, (5) narcissistic personality. disorder, (6) borderline personality disorder, (7) antisocial personality disorder. Second, the factors that cause personality disorders experienced by the main character in the story Tabliyyah Mina-Sama' by Yusuf Idris, namely (1) a bad experience, psychoanalysis which is suspected as neglect or exposure to violence by adults, (2) damage to the affiliation system such as failing to make friends. with other people, (3) experiencing stressful life events, (4) factors of low family income and living environment, (5) genetic factors that cause problems in regulating mood swings. Abstract

Communication involves the actual use of language in real. As we have known that language is the main medium for communication. One of the important thing to develop the effective communication is by packaging the structure of information. There are two basic elements in the information, they are: theme and rheme. Theme had been considered as the known information and the rheme absolutely had been considered as new information. This paradigm based on the Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). Halliday considers language as having three main functions: (1) the ideational function; (2) the interpersonal function; and (3) the textual function. This paper will focus in the textual function and “clause as a message”. Arabic language has a unique structure of clauses, we can find two basic notions (mubtada’+khabar) and (fi’l+fa’il), in the other hand, semantically, we can find (musnad+musnad ilaih), so this article tried to find the correlation between the structure of Arabic clauses with (theme+rheme) construction. This article also will find out the kinds of theme in Arabic language (multiple themes, clause as themes, and predicated themes). Theme as an initial element in SFL should be described by looking the rheme in the text. The method in this research was divided into three parts: (1) collecting the data from the book of Modern Written Arabic and also some articles in the Arabic-Javanese translation book Bidayah al-Hidayah, the data is the clauses with nominal and verbal initial; (2) analysis data, using the descriptive analysis and distributional method; and (3) reporting the data (formal and informal). The result of this article had concluded that there is a near connection between (mubtada’+khabar), (fi’l+fa’il), and (musnad+musnad ilaih) with the theme and rheme construction based on the SFL theory.
