Abstract

AbstractThis research deals with morphosemantic analysis of lexemes. The main source of data in this research was taken from the Arabic-Indonesian dictionary, Al-Munawwir, with the primary focus on lexemes using the affixation of “me-kan”. The lexemes with affixation “me-kan” can be compared in the Arabic language using the dominant measure or pattern (wazan). This research adopts a qualitative descriptive analysis, employing the distributional approach and the technique of dividing units of language, as well as the technique of marker. The study shows that the lexemes using affixation “me-kan” in Indonesian have similarities with the wazan fa-‘a-la in Arabic. The affixation of “me-kan” is one of the forms of transitive verb in the Indonesian language, and wazan fa-‘a-la in Arabic is a form of ta’diyyah (close meaning with the transitive form). Many lexemes using the affixation “me-kan” in Al-Munawwir Indonesian–Arabic dictionary were translated by the wazan fa-‘a-la. This study indicates that there is a strong connection between the transitive form in Arabic and Indonesian, as indicated through the analysis of the aforementioned lexemes.Keywords: antonym, lexeme using the affixation of “me-kan”, morpho-semantics, and Al-Munawwir Indonesian-Arabic dictionary.  Abstrak Sumber data dalam penelitian ini diambil dari kamus Al Munawwir versi Indonesia-Arab. Pembahasan antonim di dalam kamus tersebut masih terasa luas, belum mengerucut. Oleh sebab itulah peneliti akan memfokuskan pembahasan antonim hanya pada leksem yang mendapat imbuhan “me-kan”. Selanjutnya leksem “me-kan” di dalam bahasa Indonesia ternyata memiliki padanan wazan(measure) di dalam bahasa Arab yang sangat dominan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode distribusional dan teknik bagi unsur langsung dan teknik pemarkah. Dengan memanfaatkan metode tersebut, maka penelitian secara masif di dalam kamus tersebut akan menemukan pemakaian wazan untuk leksem berimbuhan me-kan dengan frekuensi lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan wazan lainnya. Sehingga imbuhan me-kan pada bahasa Indonesia dapat ditemukan padanannya pada wazan bahasa Arab. Beberapa data berupa leksem berimbuhan “me-kan” di dalam kamus al munawwir versi Indonesia-Arab diterjemahkan dengan menggunakan wazan fa'ala. Imbuhan me-kan merupakan salah satu bentuk dari kata kerja transitif. Begitu pula wazan fa'ala di dalam bahasa Arab digunakan untuk "ta'diyyah" yang secara tidak langsung menyerupai dengan proses pembentukan kata kerja transitif di dalam bahasa Indonesia. Oleh sebab itulah wazan fa'ala menjadi wazan yang paling dominan pada pemberian makna leksem berimbuhan me-kan yang berfungsi sebagai kata kerja transitif.Kata kunci: antonim, leksem yang menggunakan afiks me-kan, morfosemantik, kamus Al-Munawwir Indonesia- Arab.

Abstract

A class in a teaching process has significant role, and also a teacher or a lecturer should manage the class well to get a best teaching process. This teaching process needs an attention to gain the aims of teaching process. So that, to manage the class well regulated, the teacher or lecturer have to do the research lesson (collaborative learning lesson study) to accommodate the factual problems of the class and students. This research will find out the factual problems of language classes, how to build a factual strategy of collaborative learning through lesson study, especially English Class, Arabic Class, and Chinese Class. The dominant factual problems in the language classes will be collected and then analyzed to find the meeting point among the foreign language classes. Thus, the language teachers or lecturers will work together and discuss about solution of problems in the language classroom, and then they should avoid the problems that appear in the class. This research will give some recomendations what should the teacher manage in the language class (Arabic, English, and Chinese Class). The teachers of foreign language can improve the quality of learning and make stronger collegiality among the language teachers. The data in this research will be analyzed by the qualitative method, descriptive analysis. To get the data accurately, the data was taken from the videos and pictures which had been captured during the English Class, Arabic Class, and Chinese Class in the Faculty of Cultural Science (FIB UNS). The result from this research is every single class has a problem with a unique character. This unique character is caused by the divison of language class into a theoritical class and a skill analysis class, such as: conversation class, listening class, writing or composition class, and reading class in English, Arabic and Chinese Language.

Abstract

Corruption is a trouble and critical disease which has to get the amputation as soon as possible from the deep of the point of problems. This condition has become the main reason why this article should be written. How very dangerous is the effect of the corruption, until some people afraid if there is someone called the name of “Indonesia”, they just remember about the corruption. Thus, the college as the main place to get the seedbed of academicians had to be ready to face the greatest spreading of corruption effects. Abstract

This Research discusses the variations of noun phrase translation types and the technique of translating noun phrase on novel “Mawākibul-Achrār” written by AlKailānī. Methode of the research was descriptive qualitative. The source of the data research which describe the type and the technique of translation of noun phrase on novel “Mawākibul-Achrār” written by Al-Kailānī. Based on the research it can be concluded that: First, there are three variations of noun phrase type named: naʻty, idhāfy, and combination of both. Second, the techniques used to translate of noun phrase were 13 translation techniques.

Abstract

Communication involves the actual use of language in real. As we have known that language is the main medium for communication. One of the important thing to develop the effective communication is by packaging the structure of information. There are two basic elements in the information, they are: theme and rheme. Theme had been considered as the known information and the rheme absolutely had been considered as new information. This paradigm based on the Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). Halliday considers language as having three main functions: (1) the ideational function; (2) the interpersonal function; and (3) the textual function. This paper will focus in the textual function and “clause as a message”. Arabic language has a unique structure of clauses, we can find two basic notions (mubtada’+khabar) and (fi’l+fa’il), in the other hand, semantically, we can find (musnad+musnad ilaih), so this article tried to find the correlation between the structure of Arabic clauses with (theme+rheme) construction. This article also will find out the kinds of theme in Arabic language (multiple themes, clause as themes, and predicated themes). Theme as an initial element in SFL should be described by looking the rheme in the text. The method in this research was divided into three parts: (1) collecting the data from the book of Modern Written Arabic and also some articles in the Arabic-Javanese translation book Bidayah al-Hidayah, the data is the clauses with nominal and verbal initial; (2) analysis data, using the descriptive analysis and distributional method; and (3) reporting the data (formal and informal). The result of this article had concluded that there is a near connection between (mubtada’+khabar), (fi’l+fa’il), and (musnad+musnad ilaih) with the theme and rheme construction based on the SFL theory.

Abstract

This study attempts to elaborate textual equivalence of the Arabic translation and the Javanese translation in Ibn ?A??? Allah al-Sakandar??s masterpiece, al-?ikam. Within the first stage, the texts in this book will be studied from a number of linguistic aspects which are connected to lexical forms and phraseological feature. Every language is semantically assumed as possessing specific characteristic in terms of its lexical and phraseological features. The Sufis, in this case, will have particular inclination in their language expression. The lexical and phraseological features become, among others, a measure-ment of mystical language which covers compositional and unitary meanings. To comprehensively understand the mystical life explained in al-?ikam we need, therefore, to deeply study such lexical and phraseological features. The second stage will focus on the ideology of translation of al-?ikam. This sort of ideology will provide us information on the relation of the Indonesian Islamic texts and?along with their potential integration with?scholars around the world. The study finds that the ideology of translation has been founded on foreignization method and domestication method. These two methods have played a pivotal role on how particular texts of Sufisme are produced and consumed by the Indonesian Muslim society.

Abstract

Ibn Athaillah As-Sakandariy is a writter of Al-Hikam. He was Egyptian mystical author and hagiographer. He was a follower of Shafi’i and/or Maliki religious scholar, and also prominent member of the Shadililiya thariqah. The most influential of the 20 d works credited to him is the Book of Aphoristic Wisdom (Kitāb Al-Hikam). This book of aphorism had been translated into Javanese language by MishbāchZainil-Mushthafa Al-BangilaniyAth-Thubaniy. In this Javanese translation book, there are two side of translation, literal and free translation. This article will investigate the textual equivalence between Arabic (L1) and Javanese (L2) in the aphorism book of Al-Hikam. This research had been used the qualitative method. The data will be analyzed by the descriptive method (describing the structure of language). The methods in this research was divided into three basic parts: (1) collecting the data, (2) analysis the data, and (3) reporting the data. Collecting the data had been used the observation method to gain the informations about Theme and Rheme in Arabic-Javanese translation. First problem is about the thematic structure between Arabic and Javanese translation (theme and rheme), or Information structure between L1 and L2 (given and new). The second problem, this article will elaborate the strategies for minimizing linear dislocation in the Aphorsim book of Al-Hikam. There are four strategies for resolving the tension between syntactic and communicative functions in Arabic-Javanese translation, such as: (1) voice change, (2) change of verb, (3) nominalization, and (4) extraposition. Keywords: Textual Equivalence, Arabic-Javanese Translation, Aphorsim, Al-Hikam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengelaborasi lebih dalam satuan kebahasaan yang selama ini digunakan oleh masyarakat dalam mengungkapkan ujaran kebencian dalam bahasa Arab. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah satuan kebahasaan yang ada dalam koran berbahasa Arab, baik berupa kata, frasa, maupun kalimat yang menjadi unsur penting munculnya sebuah ujaran kebencian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan bahasa, khususnya dalam ranah morfologis dan pragmatis. Ranah morfologis terkait dengan kosakata yang digunakan dalam mengungkapkan ujaran kebencian bahasa Arab. Adapun ranah pragmatis terkait beberapa kasus yang menjadi latar belakang utama munculnya ujaran kebencian dalam bahasa Arab. Rumusan masalah pertama dalam penelitian ini terkait dengan bagaimana bentuk-bentuk ujaran kebencian dalam bahasa Arab ditinjau dari satuan bahasa yang menyusunnya. Adapun rumusan masalah kedua dalam penelitian ini berhubungan dengan bagaimana latar belakang munculnya ujaran kebencian dalam bahasa Arab. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini terbagi menjadi tiga tahapan, yaitu: (1) pengumpulan data, (2) analisis data, dan (3) laporan hasil. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode simak dan catat beberapa satuan kebahasaan yang ada dalam beberapa koran berbahasa Arab yang terkoneksi pada media sosial Instagram. Analisis data diterapkan dengan menggunakan metode distribusional yang diperkuat dengan metode analisis konten. Adapun laporan hasil dilakukan secara informal dalam bentuk deskripsi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa secara struktural bentuk ujaran kebencian dapat berupa kata, frasa, dan kalimat (predikatif). Adapun secara pragmatis, ujaran kebencian dapat dilatarbelakangi oleh ujaran yang melanggar prinsip kesantunanThis research will elaborate comprehensively the units of language which had been used by Arab people to express the hatred. The main data in this research had been collected by observing the units of language in Arab Daily Newspaper. In this case, the units of language can be divided into: word, phrase, and sentence which emerged as the main cause of hatred speech. This research dominantly used the approaches in morphology and pragmatic. The morphology analysis related with the construction of hate speech based on the elaboration of units of language. Meanwhile, the pragmatic analysis tried to elaborate some cases which had been justified as the main causal factors in Arabic hate speech. The method in this research had been divided into three basic steps, (1) collecting the data, (2) analyzing the data, and (3) reporting the result. The first step had been used the observation and recording/ noting the units of language which classified as hatred speech in Arabic daily news. The data had been focused in the Arabic daily news which connected to social media of Instagram. The data analysis had been divided into two main steps, such as distributional method and content analysis of hatred speech in Arabic language. The final step was reporting the result which had been used the informal method and description reporting. The result of the research had been concluded that the hatred speech in Arabic language can be expressed by using the units of language, such as: (1) the word, (2) the phrase, and (3) the sentence (predicative construction). Finally, based on the pragmatic approach, the causal factor of hate speech in Arabic language can be defined by the speech which contravened the principles of politeness.
