Abstract

This research aims to develop an e-module of immune system material as biology teaching material for grade XI science students at SMAN 1 Pringgasela. This type of research is development research. The development model used is 4D Thiagarajan et al., (1947) which consists of stages of define, design, development, and disseminate. Data was obtained through e-module validation by validators consisting of material experts, media experts, as well as biology teachers and students using validation sheets (questionnaires). The questionnaire data analysis technique uses calculations and feasibility criteria adopted from Sugiyono (2015). The results of expert validation and the responses of teachers and students showed that the biology e-module developed was feasible to use with an average percentage of 92.5% (material experts), 80% (media experts), 80% (biology teachers), and 91.47% (students). Based on the results of the study, it shows that the e-module product of immune system material is declared suitable to be used as a source of biology teaching materials in supporting the learning process of grade XI science students at SMAN 1 Pringgasela.

Abstract

Abstract: Household activity such as washing clothes (laundry) is a routine activity. And as we know, a lot of laundries products circulate commercially in the community. But the price of the products is expensive, and we spent a lot of money to buy them. In the village of Duman there are many laundries businesses, and laundries products are necessary. Based on the result, the team of community service which are lecturers from biology education department in FKIP UNW Mataram, made a training camp to produce laundry products for villagers in order to make their own home business, especially for laundry products. The activities were carried out for 12 hours in the village of Duman, continued with assistance for 2 days. Laundry products that were made include laundry perfume, softener, and softstrika.

Abstract

Pada saat musim hujan, tubuh rentan terhadap paparan penyakit, sehingga perlu immune booster untuk meningkatan system imunitas tubuh. Salah satunya dengan mengkonsumsi minuman herbal yaitu jamu. Jamu adalah minuman tradisional yang dapat meningkatkan stamina tubuh. Salah satu tanaman obat yang dapat dijadikan bahan jamu adalah jahe. Minyak atsiri yang terkandung dalam jahe diketahui berkhasiat dalam mencegah dan mengobati berbagai macam penyakit. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan tentang pembuatan jamu jahe instan dalam bentuk bubuk pada siswa SDN 46 Cakranegara, Kota Mataram. Metode yang dilakukan adalah demonstrasi. Dalam pelaksanaannya, pelatihan ini berjalan dengan baik, hal ini dapat dilihat dari animo peserta yang tinggi dalam mengikuti kegiatan dari awal sampai akhir. Dengan demikian, siswa memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang pemanfaatan tanaman obat berupa jahe menjadi minuman herbal instan dalam bentuk jamu bubuk yang praktis, nikmat, dan sehat untuk tubuh.

Abstract

Activities for the community were carried out by the Biology Education Study Program PkM team together with students in Paok Hamlet, East Lombok, Paok Lombok Village, Suralaga District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara through counseling and training for farmer groups on how to make compost fertilizer from cow dung waste. The objectives of this activity include; first, provide understanding and skills to farmers to maximize the use of organic fertilizers rather than chemical fertilizers, second, provide skills to local communities on how to make compost from cow dung waste and third, help local communities to increase crop yields and income from the agricultural sector. The method used in this community service is the method of socialization, discussion and training on how to use cow dung as an ingredient in making compost fertilizer. During the activity process, the participants were quite enthusiastic about taking part in the training, this was also because many local people did not know and understand that cow dung could be processed into compost which was environmentally friendly and able to increase their agricultural yields. In general, the results obtained in this service activity are that participants have initial knowledge, understanding and skills regarding the use of cow dung as compost fertilizer which is very useful for increasing agricultural yields. Apart from that, of course service participants are able to make compost from cow dung waste and how to apply it to plants. During the activity, a limited amount of compost was produced as an example for the participants and a reference for them to make compost again.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas petani di Desa Wakan dalam memanfaatkan bahan alami untuk membuat pestisida nabati sebagai alternatif pengendalian hama yang ramah lingkungan. Program ini dilakukan melalui pelatihan, pendampingan, dan praktik langsung. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, demonstrasi pembuatan pestisida nabati, dan evaluasi keberhasilan program. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme petani dalam mengadopsi teknologi ini, serta peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mereka. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat nyata bagi petani dan berpotensi mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan di Desa Wakan Kecamatan Jerowaru Kabupaten Lombok Timur Nusa Tenggara Barat

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan keterampilan metakognitif siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas berbasis lesson study. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa penerapan discovery learning pada aktivitas belajar seperti melakukan percobaan, pengamatan, merancangan percobaan, analisis dan studi literatur dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan keterampilan metakognitif siswa. Berdasarkan analisis data pada setiap pertemuan serta analisis lembar kerja siswa dan analisis hasil observasi pembelajaran secara langsung oleh observer. Selain itu, dampak lain dari implementasi lesson study memberikan pengalaman dan pelajaran berharga bagi peneliti lesson study dalam memperbaiki dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran serta melihat perkembangan belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul ajar Biologi berbasis proyek bagi siswa kelas X SMA Tahfiz Al-Batthawi NWDI Kerongkong. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D yang meliputi empat tahap: pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Produk modul hasil pengembangan divalidasi oleh validator serta diujicobakan secara terbatas kepada 10 siswa kelas X SMA Tahfiz Al-Batthawi NWDI Kerongkong. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket respon siswa dan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan skala Likert dengan menghitung rata-rata setiap aspek. Hasil validasi ahli materi menunjukkan bahwa setelah perbaikan, modul memperoleh rata-rata persentase penilaian sebesar 85%, dengan rincian: aspek kelayakan isi 85% (sangat layak), aspek penyajian 87% (sangat layak), dan aspek kelayakan bahasa 83% (sangat layak). Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa semua kriteria memperoleh skor sangat valid, dengan persentase skor sebagai berikut: ukuran modul dan desain sampul masing-masing 95%, dan desain isi 90%. Rata-rata kelayakan modul mencapai 97%, dengan kriteria sangat layak Hasil uji coba terbatas 10 iswa kelas X SMA Tahfiz Al-Batthawi NWDI Kerongkong menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persentase kelayakan bahan ajar modul berbasis proyek adalah 85%, dengan kriteria sangat layak.

Abstract

This study aims to develop pop-up teaching materials for an excretion system material for junior high school students. This research is development research using a 4-D model, which includes four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Teaching material products are then validated and tested on a limited basis to see the practicality of teaching materials. The pop-up teaching materials developed have met the valid criteria, which have been carried out through media expert validation, content validation, and subject teachers. The validation results show that teaching materials are in the excellent category. In addition, the teaching materials have also fulfilled a series of limited trials on students, indicating that the teaching materials meet practical criteria. In general, the pop-up teaching materials that have been developed are well received by teachers and students. Pop-up teaching materials can increase motivation and student learning outcomes and are suitable for use as science learning materials for junior high school students, especially in excretion system material.

Abstract

Mangroves are one of the coastal vegetation that can mitigate carbon (carbon sink and carbon storage). This study aimed to determine the potential for soil carbon stock found under stands of mangroves in Lembar Bay, West Lombok, and West Nusa Tenggara. The research began with the identification of the species and then proceeded toa sampling of the soil, which was then analyzed using the Walkley and Black method. The results showed that there were ten species of mangroves, namely, Rhizophora stylosa, Avicennia lanata, Avicennia marina, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Ceriops decandra, Excoecaria agallocha, Lumnitzera racemosa, Scyphiphora hydrophyllacea, Thespesia populnea, and Xylocarpus maluccensis. The highest soil carbon content percentage was found in the lower soil of the A. lanata (1.43 %C) mangrove, and the lowest was found in the lower-stand soil of E. agallocha (0.21 %C). Meanwhile, the carbon sinks per meter were 0.002-0.066 gC/m2, with an average of 0.020±0.020 gC/m2. The estimated total soil carbon sink in 10 mangrove stands was 0.20-6.60 tons C/ha, with an average of 2.18±2.010 tons C/ha. The average total estimated soil carbon stock found in 20.49 ha of the mangrove area studied was 44.67 tonsC, which is equivalent to 263.69 tonsC in a mangrove area of ​​120.96 ha in Lembar Bay.
