Abstract

This study aims to improve science learning outcomes through methods of Student Teams Achievement Divisions. Action Research (PTK) is conducted in two cycles. The research procedures based on the Kemmis and Mc Tanggart models include planning, action, observation and reflection phases that are adapted to the Student Teams Achievement Divisions.The results obtained from the implementation of cycle I and II, namely an increase learning outcomes after using Student Teams Achievement Divisions. In comparison the initial conditions, the cycle I and II show the initial conditions only 9 students, or 36%, in the first cycle of 16 students or 64% and the second cycle increased to 23 students or 92%. Based on the results concluded that Student Teams Achievement Divisions learning to improve student learning outcomes with indicators of >70%, which indicates success.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze how the service quality can affect customer’s satisfaction in shaping costumer’s loyalty. The research is quantitative and uses non-probability purposive sampling technique. The instrument of the research uses questionnaires which were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling. The result of the research shows that the five dimensions, i.e. physical evidence, empathy, reliability, quickness, and guaranty positively affect the service quality. The other results show that customer’s satisfaction is a preceding factor of customer’s loyalty. The direct effect of service quality on customer’s loyalty does not sustain the research, since the researcher did not find any significant direct relation between service quality and customer’s loyalty.

Abstract

Pemetaan kemampuan peserta didik memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam mengidentifikasi kesulitan belajar serta mengevaluasi efektivitas pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan Bahasa Indonesia peserta didik pada materi analisis teks berita, teks iklan, slogan dan poster, teks eksposisi, serta teks puisi menggunakan pendekatan Rasch Model. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan sampel berjumlah 27 peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 7 Rantau Bayur. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan peserta didik secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori sedang, dengan rata-rata kemampuan sebesar 0,72 logits. Rincian hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 33% peserta didik memiliki kemampuan tinggi, 56% berada pada kategori sedang, dan 11% berada pada kategori rendah. Selain itu, ditemukan tiga peserta didik, yaitu nomor urut 18, 22, dan 27, yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menguasai materi yang diberikan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan intervensi atau dukungan pembelajaran tambahan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka agar dapat mencapai kompetensi yang diharapkan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya perhatian lebih dari pihak guru dan pemangku kepentingan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, dengan fokus pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran melalui penerapan model pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif terhadap kebutuhan peserta didik dengan tingkat kemampuan yang bervariasi.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to analyse the effect of financial inclusion and population quality level on economic growth with poverty and unemployment as intervening variables. The research method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive analysis approach. The independent variables are financial inclusion, population quality level, poverty, unemployment, and the dependent variable is economic growth. The total data employed is 1020 which was taken from the Central Agency of Statistic (BPS) and the Financial Service Authority (OJK) in year 2016-2021. The data analysis method used is Partial Least Square with Structural Equation Modelling and bootstrapping method. The results showed that financial inclusion does not have an effect on economic growth, poverty and unemployment. Poverty and unemployment cannot mediate the correlation between financial inclusion and level of population quality on economic growth. Unemployment has a positive effect on poverty.A slower economic growth and poverty in Indonesia are still a crucial problem that must be solved, therefore this study gives essential implications to provide data for policymakers such as the OJK that has important role on encouraging financial inclusion and economic growth; as well as BPS in reducing poverty and unemployment; and to enrich literature and theory.

Abstract

This classroom action research (CAR) investigates the effectiveness of the discovery learning model in enhancing students’ creative thinking abilities and learning outcomes, particularly in preparing experimental reports. The discovery learning model engages students in identifying concepts independently through observation and experimentation, fostering active participation and deeper understanding. The study was conducted in two cycles involving 31 ninth-grade students from Class IX B at SMP Negeri 7 Rantau Bayur, Banyuasin Regency. Data collection utilized both test and non-test techniques. The results showed significant improvements across both cycles. In Cycle I, 61% of students (19 individuals) demonstrated the ability to analyze, which increased to 96% (30 individuals) in Cycle II. Similarly, students’ ability to prepare experimental reports rose from 51% (16 students) in Cycle I to 87% (27 students) in Cycle II. These findings indicate that the implementation of the discovery learning model effectively supports the development of students’ analytical and writing skills. The learning objectives were successfully achieved by Cycle II, rendering further cycles unnecessary. This study supports the use of discovery-based instruction in improving critical competencies in science learning.

Abstract

In the digital era, freedom of speech on social media is often misused to spread hoax news, which is inaccurate information that aims to mislead the public and trigger division. One of the cases widely discussed is the hoax related to the rejection of aid by victims of the Cianjur earthquake, which triggered misunderstandings among netizens. This study aims to analyze the influence of hoax news on social media on netizens' social concern for the disaster. The method used is quantitative, with primary and secondary data and simple linear regression analysis to measure the relationship between variable X (hoax news) and variable Y (social concern). This study involved 40 respondents from various backgrounds: students, college students, workers, and housewives. The results show that hoax news affects netizens' social concerns, with a contribution of 33.4% and a correlation of 0.578. These findings prove that hoax news can influence a person's mindset, actions, and social concerns, potentially threatening community life. Hopefully, this study will broaden horizons and encourage netizens to be more critical in receiving information.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Abortus merupakan pengeluaran hasil kehamilan berupa jaringan dalam rahim, sehingga tidak ada harapan hidup sebelum usia kehamilan kurang dari 20 minggu atau berat janin kurang dari 500 gram (Adnin, 2022). Angka Kematian Ibu (AKI) seluruhnya terdapat 20 juta kasus abortus di dunia setiap tahunnya dan sisanya 70.000 wanita meninggal di akibatkan abortus. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan asuhan kebidanan secara komprehensif dengan menggunakan metode pendokumentasian kebidanan. Metode penelitian: penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi, pemeriksaan fisik, pemeriksaan penunjang, rekam medis, buku KIA serta literatur lain. Informan utama yaitu Ny. I sedangkan informan tambahan yaitu bidan, dokter umum, dokter kandungan, petugas gizi, petugas laboratorium, suami dan keluarga. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil dari asuhan kebidanan kehamilan, persalinan, bayi baru lahir, nifas dan KB terdapat masalah pada kehamilan yaitu pada usia kehamilan 35 minggu TFU ibu lebih kecil dari ukuran normal, intervensi kasus diberikan asuhan gizi seimbang dan masalah teratasi dengan hasil berat badan lahir normal, persalinan dilakukan induksi atas indikasi KPD.
