Abstract

Learning multimedia will determine the quality of learning result, and effective multimedia is determined by the arrangement and presentation of materials which use multimedia design principles. Besides, the learning result is also determined by students’ spatial ability, particularly in technology learning. This study proves the effect of exploratory multimedia towards the comptence of electrical power generation for memory recall on immediate post-test (M.Rc/I.PT) and memory retention on delayed post-test (M.Rt/D.PT), based on the differences of students’ spatial ability.This quasi experiment involves 74 sample of students with  32 students are high spatial ability (H.SA) and 42 students are low spatial ability (L.SA). The research result proves that there are significant differences of learning result between group of (H.SA) and group of (L.SA), wheregroup of (H.SA) is higher than group of (L.SA) with differences of mean score 3.50 for Pre Test; 6.50 for (M.Rc/I.PT); and 6.40 for (M.Rt/D.PT). The decrease of learning result on (D.PT) and (I.PT) also have significant difference.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) The results of the design of reading materials with coastal culture for literacy sources, (2) The results of expert validation on the design of reading materials containing coastal culture for literacy sources, and ( 3) The results of testing of reading materials with coastal culture. for literacy sources in Class V Elementary School, Pandan, Tapanuli Tengah. This type of research is the type of research development or Research & Development. The development model in this study will be made with a few modifications adapted to the Borg and Gall development procedure. Development research is generally divided into 3 (three) stages, namely the problem identification stage, the design stage, and the dissemination stage. The researcher attempted to adapt the development model to Borg and Gall's development procedures. As subjects in this study are all State and Private Elementary Schools in Pandan, Tapanuli Tengah. As the object of this research, developing reading materials based on the culture of the coastal communities of North Tapanuli Tengah Regency in supporting the School Literacy Movement. The results showed: (1) reading material with Tapanuli Tengah coastal culture is valid for use in the implementation of the school literacy movement in SD Pandan District.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) Pengaruh signifikan metode demonstrasi berbantuan video terhadap minat belajar PPKn siswa kelas V; (2) Pengaruh signifikan metode demonstrasi berbantuan video terhadap hasil belajar PPKn siswa kelas V; (3) Pengaruh signifikan metode demonstrasi berbantuan video terhadap minat dan hasil belajar PPKn siswa kelas V. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V MI Teladan Guppi Kecamatan Padang Hilir Kota Tebing Tinggi yang berjumlah 44 siswa, sedangkan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V-A yang berjumlah 22 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan Kelas V-B yang berjumlah 22 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Anava dua jalur yang dapat dilihat pada hasil Test of Between-Subjects Effects menggunakan bantuan SPSS 16.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1)  Ada pengaruh yang signifikan metode demonstrasi berbantuan video terhadap minat belajar PPKn siswa kelas V di MI Teladan Guppi. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05 dan nilai 𝐹h𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑔 = 12,420 > 𝐹𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑒𝑙 = 2,144; (2) Ada pengaruh yang signifikan metode demonstrasi berbantuan video terhadap hasil belajar PPKn siswa kelas V di MI Teladan Guppi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh nilaisignifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai 𝐹h𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑔 sebesar 78,871> 𝐹𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑒𝑙 = 2,144; (3) Ada pengaruh yang signifikan metode demonstrasi berbantuan video terhadap minat belajar dan hasil belajar PPKn siswa kelas V MI Teladan Guppi. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga 𝐻0 ditolak dan 𝐻1 diterima. Terdapat interaksi sertaa pengaruh antara model pembelajaran Demonstrasi berbantuan video dan minat belajar siswa dalam mempengaruhi hasil belajar PPKn pada  siswa kelas V

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan metode plomp. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan pada proses pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran IPA. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan ini akan dilihat keefektifannya dalam meningkatkan aktivtas belajar siswa, efektifitas aktivitas belajar siswa dilihat dengan membandingkan antara kelas kontol yang diberikan media pembelajaran yang umum dilakukan didalam kelas, sedangkan kelas eksperimen adalah kelas yang diberikan perlakuan dengan media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia. Melihat efektifitas media pembelajaran ini menggunakan uji N gain.hasil dari penelitan ini diperoleh Hasil aktivitas belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan rancangan media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia mengalami peningkatan. Sebelum menggunakan menggunakan rancangan media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia adalah 44 dan setelah menggunakan rancangan media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia Nilai siswa 75.

Abstract

The teaching and learning process is inseparable from the application of learning models and media. The Direct Instruction Plus model based on Flipbook Interactive Media is used as a tool and way to achieve lesson objectives. This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of MIN 1 Medan students after using Direct Instruction Plus based on Flipbook Interactive Media. This research uses a type of classroom action research with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation sheets, work results and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses the calculation of the percentage of analysis of teacher observation results, students and learning outcomes. The results of this study were obtained, in cycle I teacher activity obtained a percentage score of 72% with the categorization of "good", and in cycle II, the percentage score increased to 83.33% with the category "very good".

Abstract

Background: The rapid advancement of digital technology and the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia have highlighted the need for differentiated learning to address the diverse needs of students. However, many classrooms still employ uniform teaching methods, which often fail to accommodate individual learning styles, particularly in science education.Aims: This study aimed to develop and evaluate differentiated learning media supported by Google Sites for the science topic “Classification of Living Things”, tailored to students' visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning preferences.Methods: The research adopted the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Expert validation was conducted by specialists in content, media, and instructional design. The media was tested in three phases: individual, small-group, and field testing. Effectiveness was assessed by comparing the pretest and posttest scores between the experimental group and the control group using parametric statistical tests.Results: The developed media was rated as “Very Feasible” by experts, with average validation scores exceeding 89%. User testing also yielded highly positive feedback, with an average feasibility score of 88%. The experimental group achieved significantly higher post-test scores than the control group (p < 0.05), and the normalized gain score of 0.46 indicated moderate effectiveness.Conclusion: Differentiated learning media supported by Google Sites is a feasible and effective tool for enhancing student learning outcomes in science education. Its integration supports personalized learning and aligns with the national curriculum reforms that emphasize student-centered instruction.

Abstract

Students’ critical thinking skills currently fall short of the requirements for effective learning in the 21st century, highlighting a need for innovative educational models to help cultivate these skills. This study investigates the enhancement of critical thinking skills among sixth-grade elementary students by using an E-LKPD (electronic student worksheets) grounded in guided inquiry. The study utilized a pretest and posttest non-equivalent control group design, encompassing the full student cohort as the sample. Information regarding students' critical thinking abilities was obtained via a descriptive assessment that satisfied recognized validity and reliability standards. The study results, analyzed with an independent t-test on the N-gain score, show an overall improvement rate of 76.16%, exceeding the 70% threshold for high effectiveness. When analyzed by group, the control group achieved an N-gain of 68.11%, falling in the moderate category, while the experimental group reached an N-gain of 84.21%, showing a huge level of effectiveness. Those results conclude that the guided inquiry-based E-LKPD significantly increased critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The impact of augmented reality (AR) learning tools and students' critical thinking abilities on learning outcomes in electrical engineering education is the focus of this study. The study explores the ways in which these factors, both independently and in combination, influence student performance. Findings reveal that AR-based learning materials significantly enhance understanding and retention across self-directed and guided learning models. Critical thinking skills emerge as a key determinant of success, with students exhibiting strong critical thinking consistently outperforming peers with lower-level skills, regardless of the instructional model. The study also highlights variations in AR tools' effectiveness depending on the learning model and students’ critical thinking abilities. Guided learning with AR tools benefits all students, while self-directed AR tools prove most effective for those with advanced critical thinking skills. Students with lower critical thinking abilities face challenges in navigating less structured AR environments. These results underscore the importance of fostering critical thinking and adopting tailored strategies when integrating AR technology into engineering education. By considering both the learning model and critical thinking levels, educators can optimize AR’s potential to enhance student learning outcomes in technical fields.

Abstract

Effective and efficient school financial management is crucial for enhancing the quality of educational services. However, many schools still rely on manual systems, which can lead to errors and delays in financial processes. This study aims to examine how the SIMAKOM application can serve as an alternative financial management system to improve the quality of financial services in Integrated Islamic Private Schools. A mixed methods approach (quantitative and qualitative) was employed, with data collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive methods. The results indicate that the SIMAKOM application enhances system quality, user quality, service quality, perceived benefits, and user satisfaction. The quantitative findings include a system quality score of 3.811 and a user satisfaction score of 3.931, based on responses from 93 participants. The qualitative component involved interviews and triangulation to support and enrich the quantitative data. Overall, the SIMAKOM application is shown to be an effective alternative for improving the quality of school financial services. This study contributes to the development of high-quality financial management systems in educational institutions and can serve as a reference for other schools seeking to enhance their financial service quality through digital solutions.
