Abstract

Plantation is one of the agricultural sectors that plays an important role in encouraging economic growth, especially in rural areas, through agribusiness-based farming activities. This research aims to identify superior commodities in the plantation sector and analyze the agribusiness system implemented in Sumbawa Regency. The research area was determined using a purposive sampling technique, starting from the district to the sub-district level which is the center for basic plantation crop production. The research will be carried out in July - August 2024. Determining the number of samples or respondents in the research, namely plantation agribusiness actors, took 30 respondents. The analysis method uses descriptive analysis methods, LQ (Location Quotient) analysis and SS (Shift Share) analysis. The research results show (1) There are 5 (five) basic commodities for the plantation sector in Sumbawa Regency, namely candlenut commodities, tamarind commodities, jatropha commodities, coffee commodities and cashew commodities. (2) The results of the analysis of the competitiveness of plantation commodities in Batulanteh District, Sumbawa Regency which have competitive competitiveness are candlenut commodities, coffee commodities and cashew commodities. (3) Results of identification of the plantation agribusiness sub-system in Sumbawa Regency, especially coffee and candlenut commodities which are the leading commodities in production centers in Batulanteh District, Sumbawa Regency : (a) The production facilities system, namely the provision of seeds, is still independent from harvested seeds, (b) sub-system of farming, namely cultivation is still non-technical on government forest land and private gardens, (c) processing sub-system is still simple and small scale, (d) The marketing sub system is still mostly in the form of primary products (for example coffee beans and candlenut seeds) farmers mostly sell to village and sub-district level collectors, (e) The institutional sub-system, namely extension workers, farmer groups and commercial banks, provides training to entrepreneurs in processing primary products into final products.

Abstract

Artikel ini memaparkan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa penanaman mangrove di kawasan pesisir Pulau Kaung Kecamatan Buer Kabupaten Sumbawa. Penanaman ini bertujuan untuk menjaga kelestarian ekosistem pesisir, mengurangi dampak abrasi, sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui potensi ekonomi dari mangrove. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan mei 2025 kerjasama Universitas Samawa Sumbawa dengan PT. SMM (Solusi Masyarakat Mandiri) dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menanam bibit mangrove sebanyak 4.000 bibit diikuti oleh berbagai kalangan masyarakat diantaranya yaitu perguruan tinggi swasta dan sekolah menengah atas yang ada di Kabupaten Sumbawa serta organisasi masyarakat pencinta lingkungan hidup yang ada di Kabupaten Sumbawa.

Abstract

Seaweed is one of Tanjung Bele's potential resources, but the macroalgae have not been able to improve the community's economy. This is because seaweed is only sold as dried seaweed. Lack of community knowledge and skills means that seaweed cannot be processed into products with economic value. Therefore, the purpose of this program is to improve the knowledge and skills of the Tanjung Bele community in diversifying seaweed into products with high economic value. This program is carried out in Tanjung Bele Hamlet, Olat Rawa Village, Moyo Hilir District, Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara. The target community is the wives of fishermen. The number of people involved in this program is 10 people who are members of the Ai Manis group. The methods used in this activity are counseling, training with active participation methods, evaluation of results using the pretest-posttest method and observation of partner products. This program starts with coordination, continues with counseling and training and ends with evaluation activities. Jelly and seaweed chips are two products made by fishermen's wives. The results of the pretest and posttest showed that most of the target community did not understand the material related to seaweed diversification. This is because most of the community are elementary school graduates and some others have not graduated from elementary school. There are two products produced by partners, namely jelly and seaweed chips.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Business feasibility analysis includes two main aspects, namely economic aspects and non-economic aspects. Economic or financial analysis focuses on evaluating profits and costs, while non-ekonomic analysis examines other factors that can affect the success of a business. This study aims to analyze the income and non-economic feasibility of the laying hen business at CV. Sanggalang Putra in Buer District, Sumbawa Regency. The determination of the research location was carried out intentionally (purposively), namely at CV Sangalang which is quite developed in Kalabeso Village, Buer District, Sumbawa Regency, considering the large area of the farm, namely 1 hectare, the population and production of laying hen farms are one of the largest in Sumbawa Regency. The research was conducted in March-May 2025. The results of the study for the economic aspect are the average income from eggs of Rp.48,000,000/month and from retired chickens of Rp.24,500,000/month so that the total Rp.50,400,000,- per month, BEP product 79 bundles, BEP price Rp.169,500 per bundle and RCR value  2 thus the business is feasible to continue. Non-ekonomic aspects include market aspects, technical and technological aspects, and environmental aspects that are worth continuing. Keywords: Eligibility; Ekonomic; Non-Ekonomic     ABSTRAK Analisis kelayakan bisnis mencakup dua aspek utama yaitu aspek finansial dan aspek non-finansial. Analisis finansial fokus pada evaluasi keuntungan dan biaya, sementara analisis non-finansial meneliti faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi keberhasilan usaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Pendapatan dan kelayakan non finansial usaha ayam ras petelur pada CV. Sanggalang Putra di Kecamatan Buer Kabupaten Sumbawa. Penentuan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive) yaitu di CV Sangalang yang cukup berkembang di Desa Kalabeso Kecamatan Buer Kabupaten Sumbawa dengan pertimbangan luas areal peternakan yang luas yaitu 1 hektar, populasi dan produksi peternakan ayam ras petelur salah satu yang terbanyak di Kabupaten Sumbawa. Waktu penelitian akan dilaksanakan pada Bulan Maret-April 2025. Hasil penelitian untuk aspek finansial yaitu rata-rata penerimaan dari telur sebesar Rp. 48.000.000/bulan dan dari ayam afkir sebesar Rp.24.500.000/bulan sehingga total Rp. 50.400.000,-per bulan, BEP produk 79 ikat, BEP harga Rp. 169.500 per ikat dan nilai RCR 2 dengan demikian usaha layak untuk dilanjutkan. Aspek non finansial meliputi aspek pasar, aspek teknis dan teknologi, aspek lingkungan layak untuk dilanjutkan. Kata Kunci: Kelayakan; Finansial; Non Finansial

Abstract

This research was intended to identify productivity and income of corn farming in dry land at Sumbawa Regency. It used descriptive analysis method. The research was done with survey technique. Sample was taken using random sampling with 100 respondents. Research site was determined purposively in Labangka district. It used Cobb-Douglas production factor analysis and financial analysis (cost, revenue and income). The result indicated that average productivity was 6.092 ton/ha with average cost of Rp 2,912,994/ha, average revenue or 13,392,755/ha and average profit of 10,479,762/ha. Factors affecting production significantly are seed amount, urea fertilizer amount, insecticide amount, experience in corn farming, and activeness in extension program. R/C ratio of 4.6 means that corn farming in dry land in Labangka district is profitable and feasible to continue.

Abstract

Kekerasan terhadap perempuan dan anak adalah masalah besar yang berdampak pada kesehatan seseorang dan masyarakat secara keseluruhan, maka dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan sosialisasi yang dilakukan oleh beberapa pakar yaitu Kapolres Sumbawa yang diwakili oleh Kanit PPA Sat Reskrim Polres Sumbawa, Kepala Bidang Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Anak DP3AKB Kabupaten Sumbawa, dan Akademisi Hukum yaitu Dosen Fakultas Hukum dari Universitas Samawa . Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu untuk meningkatakan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap kekerasan, memberdayakan korban, mengurangi stigma, Mendukung kebijakan perlidungan, dan mendorong partisipasi komunitas dalam pencegahan. Kegiatan sosialisasi pencegahan kekerasan ini dilakukan di desa Rhee, Kecamatan Rhee. Bertempat di Aula Kantor desa Rhee pada Sabtu 26 Agustus 2024. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan yaitu ceramah dengan ibu PKK, karang taruna, tokoh masyarakat, dan siswa-siswi Sekolah Dasar. Kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu agenda pada Program Desa bebas dari kriminalitas yang dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa KKLkelompok 19 Universitas Samawa Angkatan XXVI yang berada di Desa Rhee. Hasil kegiatan yaitu peserta memiliki pemahaman tentang pentingnya pencegahan terhadap kekerasan perempuan dan anak. Kegiatan menunjukkan peserta memiliki antusias dalam mencegah kekerasan yang terjadi dilingkungan keluarga dan massyarakat.
