Abstract

This service involves lecturers and students at Al-Irsyad Cilacap University (UNAIC) in product photography training for groups of street vendors on Jalan Cerme, Cilacap. This training aims to improve the quality of product photos and visual marketing skills to increase the competitiveness and sales of MSMEs, which according to data can increase purchasing interest by up to 40% and sales by up to 25%. This program is expected to create a positive impact on local economic growth and increase awareness of the importance of visual branding for MSMEs, with the support of data showing that structured training can increase the competitiveness of MSMEs by 30% and contribute to increasing the local economy by up to 15%.

Abstract

The development of communication technology and social media in Indonesia, where 96% of internet users use social media, has changed the way of marketing, including for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Information literacy is an important skill to use information ethically and efficiently in planning and implementing empowerment programs. This community service activity aims to provide insight into marketing strategies through social media to vegetable traders in Cilacap who often face budget constraints. Social Media Marketing (SMM), which has been proven to increase sales for 74% of SMEs that implement it, was chosen as a flexible strategy to increase sales through platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. In addition to SMM strategy training, participants were also given branding designs in the form of banners and logos to increase the appeal of their products. Based on the results of the socialization, participants understand the importance of digital marketing and branding, which is expected to help local SMEs optimize their budgets for more sustainable business growth.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the creativity of students at SMK Negeri 1 Kawunganten through training in the development of Android-based educational games. The background of this initiative is the need to empower students to become creators of digital technology, rather than merely users, amid the rapid growth of the gaming and mobile technology industries. The training was conducted using the QuickAppNinja platform, which enables participants to create quiz-based games without requiring programming skills. The methods used included lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and participatory evaluation, with an approach tailored for beginners. The activity lasted four hours and covered the introduction to educational game concepts, game creation practice, and evaluation sessions. The results showed that after the training, the majority (71%) of participants experienced an increase in confidence in developing Android-based applications and could follow the training process effectively, producing simple game prototypes. This training enhanced students’ digital literacy, technical skills, and confidence in creating digital products. In conclusion, the Android-based educational game training proved effective in fostering student creativity and is a relevant strategy to strengthen competencies in the creative industry era.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDesa Kutabima memiliki potensi besar pada komoditas pala, namun pemanfaatannya masih terbatas akibat minimnya teknologi pengolahan, kapasitas sumber daya manusia, serta akses pasar. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan valuasi ekonomi produk atsiri pala sekaligus mendukung pengentasan kemiskinan dan mitigasi bencana longsor. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan produksi (manisan pala, sirup pala, dan minyak atsiri daun pala), workshop manajemen usaha dan pemasaran digital, serta reboisasi lahan kritis. Mitra kegiatan adalah Kelompok Tani Sri Cikawung Jaya dan BUMDes Bima Barokah Sejahtera dengan total peserta 30 orang. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest–posttest, observasi keterampilan, dan monitoring usaha. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman teknis peserta sebesar 80%, peningkatan kemampuan manajemen usaha sebesar 75%, serta terbentuknya tiga produk turunan pala dengan identitas branding dan legalitas usaha (NIB dan PIRT). Reboisasi menghasilkan penanaman 300 bibit pala dengan tingkat hidup 82%. Aktivitas pemasaran digital meningkat dengan kenaikan jangkauan hingga 320% dalam satu bulan. Program ini terbukti meningkatkan kapasitas produksi, memperluas peluang ekonomi lokal, dan memperkuat mitigasi bencana berbasis agroforestri. Kata kunci: pala; minyak atsiri; pemberdayaan masyarakat; UMKM; mitigasi bencana ABSTRACTKutabima Village has significant potential in nutmeg commodities; however, its utilization remains limited due to the lack of processing technology, limited human resource capacity, and restricted market access. This community service program aims to enhance the economic value of nutmeg essential oil products while supporting poverty alleviation and landslide disaster mitigation through skills improvement and institutional capacity strengthening. The implementation methods included socialization, training on the production of nutmeg preserves, nutmeg syrup, and nutmeg leaf essential oil, workshops on business management and digital marketing, as well as reforestation of critical land. The program partners were the Sri Cikawung Jaya Farmer Group and Bima Barokah Sejahtera Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes), involving 30 participants. Evaluation was conducted through pretest–posttest, skills observation, and business monitoring. The results showed an 80% increase in participants’ technical understanding and a 75% improvement in business management skills. Additionally, three nutmeg-derived products were successfully developed, complete with branding identity and business legality (NIB and PIRT). Reforestation activities resulted in the planting of 300 nutmeg seedlings with an 82% survival rate. Digital marketing activity increased by 320% within one month. This program effectively improved production capacity, expanded local economic opportunities, and strengthened disaster mitigation efforts through an agroforestry-based approach. Keywords: nutmeg; essential oils; community empowerment; MSMEs; disaster mitigation.

Abstract

Advances in information technology require vocational school students to possess strong digital literacy skills and be aware of their psychological well-being. This community service activity was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah Karangpucung as part of the TMMD program, a collaboration between Al-Irsyad University Cilacap (UNAIC) and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). This program aims to improve digital literacy understanding and introduce the use of website-based psychological analysis technology with the Naive Bayes algorithm. This algorithm functions to process student psychological assessment data and classify them into interest and talent categories based on the highest probability, so that the results obtained are more measurable and objective. Based on the pretest evaluation, only 30% of students correctly understood their interests and talents based on self-assessment. After participating in digital literacy socialization and training on the use of the Naive Bayes-based psychological analysis system, posttest scores increased to 90% of students who had identified their interests and talents based on the recommendations of the system analysis results. This indicates a significant increase in students' understanding of scientific interest and talent mapping assisted by digital technology. This activity serves as a concrete example of synergy between universities, defense institutions, and vocational schools in building an educational ecosystem that is adaptive to technology and supports ongoing monitoring of students' psychological well-being.

Abstract

The restaurant industry is becoming more and more competitive, so entrepreneurs must develop relevant and innovative marketing plans that may be used as weapons in the marketplace. Islamic branding, which involves using an Islamic identity (including Islamic writing, Sharia, Islamic names, and halal labels) in product marketing, is one tactic that can be used. Digital marketing and Islamic branding are two marketing techniques used to sway consumers' interest in making purchases. The purpose of this study is to examine how interest in buying items from the Cilacap branch of Ayam Penyet Surabaya is influenced by Islamic branding and digital marketing.
