Abstract

Quality is one of the most crucial factors for manufactured products. Good product quality will increase customer loyalty and hence, higher profit for the company. SR company is a local Small Medium Enterprise (SME) in Bandung that produces bread products. Among various kinds of bread, Kadet is the main product with an average production of approximately 1000 pcs per day. In addition, Kadet bread has numerous defective products with an average of 3%-5% per 1000 pcs. Moreover, Kadet is a product baked at high temperatures, and hence, the timing of the production staff is crucial to prevent defectiveness. In this work, we use the Taguchi method to obtain factors that produce defectiveness and the combination of the optimal production factors. Furthermore, using the Analysis of Variance, the results show the optimal process design for minimum defective Kadet bread products as the process evaluation for better product quality.

Abstract

The immediate advancement of artificial intelligence has introduced tools like ChatGPT, which are transforming academic practices among university students. This study investigates the frequency of ChatGPT usage, its perceived benefits, and students, views on its impact on academic tasks. Using a mixed- methods approach, the research combines quantitative surveys to assess usage patterns and qualitative interviews for deeper insights. The findings indicates that 71.3% of students primarily use ChatGPT for writing assignments or essays, with 53% rating it as very helpful in improving assignment quality. ChatGPT is valued for enhancing productivity clarifying complex concepts, and refining academic writing. However, concerns regarding over-reliance and ethical issues are prevalent. The study emphasizes the need for guidelines to promote responsible use while maintaining academic integrity. These findings provide important implications for educators and policymakers in integrating AI tools effectively into educational settings.

Abstract

Sungai Citarum merupakan salah satu sungai yang melintasi Kabupaten Karawang, yang kerap kali mengalami pencemaran, sehingga dibutuhkan upaya pengendalian yang tepat. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kualitas air di Sungai Citarum agar mengetahui nilai status mutu air sungai, serta memahami peran Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Kabupaten Karawang dalam merumuskan strategi pengendalian pencemaran air. Pengambilan sampel dengan metode grab sample dilakukan di dua titik lokasi Sungai Citarum pada Bulan Maret sampai Juni 2023, terhadap parameter Potential of Hydrogen (pH), Oxygen Demand (DO), Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), and E. coli. Nilai setiap parameter selanjutnya dibandingkan dengan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 22 Tahun 2021 untuk baku mutu air sungai (Kelas I), dan dianalisis menggunakan metode Indeks Pencemaran (IP). Hasil dari penelitian didapatkan bahwa terdapat empat dari tujuh parameter yang melebihi baku mutu, yaitu DO (2,4 mg/L), BOD (2,8 mg/L), COD (7,4 mg/L)), dan E. coli (105,3 MPN/100 ml). Hasil perhitungan nilai IP dari Bulan Maret hingga Juni 2023 berkisar antara 2,6-3.2 (Titik 1) dan 2,4-3,2 (Titik 2). Penelitian mendapatkan bahwa kualitas air Sungai Citarum di wilayah Kabupaten Karawang masuk dalam kategori Tercemar Ringan (IP= 2,91). Upaya pengendalian oleh DLH Kabupaten Karawang adalah melakukan pemantauan dan evaluasi pengolahan limbah cair perusahaan-perusahaan, serta pendampingan dalam pembuatan kebijakan lingkungan.

Abstract

PT. XYZ adalah perusahaan start-up di bidang drone komersil. PT.XYZ masih membutuhkan perencanaan K3 yang sesuai sehingga dilakukanlah perencanaan K3 sesuai dengan kondisi perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode AS/NZS 4360:2004 untuk mengidentifikasi dan menilai potensi bahaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 13 potensi bahaya yang terdiri atas 8 potensi bahaya sedang dan 5 potensi bahaya tinggi.

Abstract

Driving while drowsy is identified as a significant risk factor in traffic accidents, yet awareness of this risk is often lower compared to other hazards. Phenomena such as microsleep have been shown to increase the risk of inattention and accidents on the road. This study proposes a novel approach utilizing Deep Learning, specifically YOLOv8, to detect and address the risk of driver drowsiness. To train the model, the researchers employed a secondary dataset consisting of 3708 images, partitioned into 80% for model training and 20% for validation. Multiple models were compared during the training process, and the results indicated that the YOLOv8 model outperformed previous models, achieving a recall value of 0.95261, precision of 0.94655, F1-SCORE of 0.9496, and mAP of 0.98055. This research contributes to the development of more effective drowsiness detection systems using Deep Learning approaches, with promising evaluation results.

Abstract

Water quality is a key factor in maintaining a healthy river ecosystem and supporting the life of aquatic organisms. The measurement of Dissolved Oxygen (DO) content in water is one of the crucial parameters that assess the level of dissolved oxygen, directly influencing the life of aquatic organisms. This study aims to predict the Dissolved Oxygen (DO) content in the Citarum River Irrigation Area by employing Support Vector Regression (SVR) analysis and Decision Tree Regressor. The predictive model was developed by analyzing the relationship between other water quality parameters such as Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), and temperature. The analysis results indicate that the accuracy score of the Decision Tree Regressor analysis is superior to that of the Support Vector Regression (SVR) analysis.

Abstract

Banjir rob yang terjadi di Kecamatan Cibuaya dan Desa Cemarajaya tidak hanya disebabkan karena letak geografis yang berada di bawah permukaan laut, namun juga disebabkan oleh faktor lain seperti naiknya permukaan air laut akibat kondisi pasang surut yang disebabkan oleh gaya gravitasi total air pasang. bulan dan juga akibat angin kencang yang mengakibatkan tinggi gelombang laut menerjang wilayah pesisir. Permukiman masyarakat di pesisir utara Karawang merupakan kawasan rentan dalam hal perumahan. Untuk meminimalisir dampak negatif bencana banjir, diberikan edukasi pencegahan banjir. Pelatihan kesiapsiagaan banjir rob ini dilakukan di SMPN Satu Atap 2 Cibuaya. Peserta dalam kegiatan ini adalah siswa, guru dan aparat pemerintah desa Cemarajaya. Untuk mengukur pemahaman terhadap kesiapsiagaan banjir rob, dilakukan survei berupa pre-test dan post-test. Hasil survei menunjukkan tingkat pengetahuan peserta meningkat mencapai 24,81%, dari awal 51,16% menjadi 75,97%.
