Abstract

The duration of this activity spanned approximately 4 weeks, starting from February 6th to March 6th, 2024. Padukuhan Singosaren was chosen as the location for KKN due to its rich village potential, which became the main focus for enhancing village development and the quality of Human Resources (HR) in utilizing and developing local potential. The KKN activity began with observations of the padukuhan to identify the village potential that would be the main focus of the KKN implementation. The programs designed were then arranged sequentially, starting from discussions among KKN groups, village apparatus, and the local community, especially those directly involved in the designed programs. The outcomes of the overall implementation of the KKN program encompass the development of community knowledge  through  various  educational and  socialization  activities  across  different layers of society, aiming to support development and enhance Human Resources (HR) to boost the potential of the local village. Literacy and learning programs, whether academic or religion-based, are conducted to enrich HR from an early age. In the environmental and planning sector, the development of drainage planning concepts and layouts is carried out in Padukuhan.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the improvement of students' understanding of mathematical concepts in class VII C of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Yogyakarta by implementing the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model with the assistance of mind mapping media. The method applied is Classroom Action Research consisting of two cycles, each cycle involving four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects are 28 students from class VII C of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Yogyakarta. The results of the study indicate that the application of CTL with mind mapping is effective in enhancing students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This is evidenced by the average scores increasing from 51.80 in the pre-cycle, to 59.50 in Cycle I, and reaching 85.80 in Cycle II. Improvement is also observed in the percentage of understanding mathematical concepts in each indicator, rising from 50.19% in the pre-cycle to 82.88% at the end of Cycle II. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the CTL model with mind mapping in enhancing students' mathematical comprehension.

Abstract

This research aims to implement home visits based on the cooperative learning model as an innovative strategy to enhance the optimization of mathematics learning. The study involves students from SMP N 2 Karangsambung as research subjects. Data collection techniques include tests, interviews, and documentation. This research adopts the action research approach, involving cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of home visits with the cooperative learning model positively contributes to the optimization of mathematics learning. Concrete steps involve collaboration between teachers, students, and families to create a supportive learning environment. Classically, there has been an increase in the percentage of student learning mastery, with figures rising from 38.46% at the initial stage of the study (pre-cycle) to 50% in Cycle I, and further escalating to 76.92% in Cycle II. Additionally, there has been an enhancement in the overall student grade average, starting from 58.65 at the initial stage of the study to 69.80 in the first cycle, and then increasing to 79.03 in the second cycle. Both parameters, the percentage of learning mastery and the average student grade, in the second cycle have met the standards set as indicators criteria established

Abstract

Introducing children to mathematics is an urgent matter. Most children in the B-Luke class at TK Kristen Kalam Kudus Pematang Siantar struggle to understand number concepts, even though they can count. Therefore, this study aims to use flashcards as a playful medium to help children understand number concepts from 1 to 20. This is a classroom action research with two cycles. The subjects were 11 children from the B-Luke class. Data were collected through observation, post-class tests, and documentation. The data analysis shows that the initial concept understanding ability, which was predominantly at the Developing (MB) level (55%), increased to an average of Very Well Developed (BSB) at 64%. This demonstrates an improvement in understanding number concepts through the use of flashcards and playful methods.
