Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out how forms of Public Relations communication at the Madani Hotel in carrying out their duties, especially their duties as intermediaries between the hotel and its guests. In this study, the authors used a type of qualitative research. Using descriptive analysis method. The subject of this research is public relations at Madani Hotel, while the object of this research is the public relations strategy at Madani Hotel in building its image. The author conducted research in September 2022 until it was completed. Place jl. Sisingamangaraja jl. Amaliun No 1, Kotamatsum No III, Kec. Medan City, Medan City, North Sumatras. Data Collection Techniques namely by direct observation, interviews, and documentation. After the data is collected, the writer analyzes the data. The results of this study indicate that the communication strategy used by Madani Hotel Public Relations is a promotion strategy and a sharia service strategy. The promotion strategy applied in Madani hotels is through print media (advertising in newspapers) and through sales calls. Sharia Service Strategies include not accepting spouses who are not of the same marriage, not providing alcoholic and non-halal food and drinks, each room has the Al-Quran, prayer books, prayer mats, and Qibla direction. The form of public relations communication for Madani hotels is by mass communication (sales calls) and between individuals (forms of service that are created that are comfortable and with sharia principles) Keywords: Communication Strategy, Public Relations, Service Quality

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out how the event organizer strategy Dinamika Offset Printing as an entertainment medium. As a theoretical basis in analyzing the problems in this qualitative research, theories about strategy, marketing communications and event organizers are used. The data collection technique used in this study is descriptive analysis method, namely interviews and observations and has primary data, namely the leader of the LPM Dinamika UIN SU Company and secondary data, namely the accountability report of the company division. The results of the research show that the event organizer strategy carried out by Dinamika Offset Printing is to notify their services through the events they create as well as promotions through social media. Abstract

Abstract: By focusing on the story of a late 20th-century Arab woman who wrote about her journey to the west. Fatima Mernissi, in Scheherazade Goes West: Different Cultures, Different Harems (Mernissi, 2001), with her intellectual journey seeks and concludes answers to her questions about the gender code of European-American philosophy and popular culture by deconstructing not only Western male orientalist fantasies about Muslim women but also the “harem of Western women” of hypervisibility and body shaming. She goes a step further by exploring and dismantling patriarchal norms by crossing this apparent “East-West” difference through modes of critique of secular and Islamic feminists. She produces, and distributes texts, to advance the "double criticism" of local and colonial patriarchy into a continuous analysis in her travel notes. This article stipulates that the author analyzes the contents of the literary works studied with the critical discourse analysis approach model by becoming a facilitating framework, and in the end, the methodology comes from ways of knowing based on social construct and cultural values that are the author's study. Abstract

Abstract: Social media is a digital platform that facilitates its users to simplify the procces of exchanging information. Instagram is an app that has a gift and is growing throught social media. Researcg in referring to an account and questioning how account is in meeting the information needs of UINSU Communication Science Students. The @MedanTalk account is an account that has actively shared posts related to accidents, natural events, crimes, advertisements and so on specifically in areas around Medan City. Based on the activity of the post, the user of an account with the name @MedanTalk becomes the number one information search acount for the people of Medan City. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to find out the marketing communication strategy implemented by Afkar Shop in utilizing Facebook social media as a marketing tool to increase buyer interest. This type of research is qualitative research. In this study, researchers used interviews, observation and documentation of Afkar Shop owners. The theory used in this study is positioning theory, which in this study emphasizes how Afkar Shop owners have media that they feel are capable of meeting the needs that support their business. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the marketing communication strategy implemented by Afkar Shop through Facebook social media is able to achieve marketing goals and increase sales. The results of this study in terms of positioning, namely Afkar Shop creates the image of "Cheap Prices of Quality Goods" for its customers. Then Afkar Shop routinely conducts live streaming on its social media accounts and always holds promos or discounts in every live. Keywords: Communication Strategy, Marketing Communications, Facebook

Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the interpersonal interaction of parents and adolescents who are active smokers in the village of Bandar Setia, sub-district. Percut Sei Tua, Kab. serdang deli. This study aims to find out how the interpersonal interactions of parents and adolescents are active smokers and what are the supporting factors, barriers between parents and adolescent smokers in the village of Bandar Setia. The research location is located in the village of Bandar Setia. In this study, information was obtained from 16 informants, namely 8 parents and 8 teenagers. The data collection technique is to collect information in the field using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The research used a qualitative descriptive method which was carried out in the village of Bandar Setia. Communication by parents and children is closer, there is a sense of empathy, support, positive feelings, and equality, and parents pay attention to their children who smoke. Factors that support communication between parents and children of smokers are closeness within a family and mutual support for one another, meanwhile, work and the lack of attention of parents towards children are factors that hinder communication. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak penggunaan gadget pada perkembangan sosial anak-anak di Jalan Taud Gang Tukang Medan. Sebagai landasan teori dalam menganalisis persoalan pada penelitian kualitatif ini, digunakan teori-teori tentang dampak sosial, teknologi gadget atau smartphone, dan perkembangan sosial anak, sehingga peneliti dituntut untuk memperoleh data dan informasi dengan melakukan wawancara dan observasi secara mendalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Informan pada penelitian yaitu orang tua dri anak-anak yang tinggal di Jalan Taud Gang Tukang Medan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti ialah melakukan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi, dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi fenomenologi, yaitu peneliti berusaha untuk mencari makna fenomena dampak penggunaan gadget pada perkembangan sosial anak-anak di Jalan Taud Gang Tukang Medan. Analisis data yag digunakan peneliti adalah analisis deskriptif, yaitu meringkas seluruh data yang telah dikumpulkan dari hasil wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak yang menghabiskan lebih dari dua jam sehari untuk berinteraksi dengan perangkat elektronik akan mendapat manfaat dari perkembangan keterampilan motorik. Namun, perkembangan emosi anak, khususnya aspek pertumbuhan emosi dan perkembangan moral, terkena dampak negatif dari gadget. Anak-anak akan lebih cenderung menggunakan perasaan mereka seperti berbicara sendiri di perangkat elektronik. Kata Kunci: Dampak Sosial, Smartphone, Perkembangan Sosial

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penggunaan media sosial instagram pada pembalajaran daring di SMA N 8 Medan. Sebagai landasan teori dalam menganalisis persoalan pada penelitian kualitatif ini, digunakan teori-teori tentang media sosial dan pembelajaran daring, sehingga peneliti dituntut untuk memperoleh data dan informasi dengan melakukan wawancara dan observasi secara mendalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Informan pada penelitian yaitu yaitu Ibu Rosmaida Asianna Purba yang menjabat sebagai kepala sekolah SMA N 8 Medan dan Ibu Nova yang bekerja sebagai guru di SMA N 8 Medan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti ialah melakukan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi, dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi fenomenologi, yaitu peneliti berusaha untuk mencari makna fenomena pengaruh pengunaan media sosial instagram pada pembelajaran daring di SMA N 8 Medan. Analisis data yag digunakan peneliti adalah analisis deskriptif, yaitu meringkas seluruh data yang telah dikumpulkan dari hasil wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Media social Instagram cukup dibilang efektif karena memberikan ruang bagi penggunanya dan dapat diakses kapan saja tanpa dibatasi oleh waktu. Dalam keadaan ini, hasil pembelajaran praktis dapat ditingkatkan. Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, Media Sosial, Pembelajaran Daring.

Abstract

Abstrack: Salah satu akun media sosial Istagram yang rutin menyebarkan informasi kejadian kabupaten Labuhan batu Selatan dan sekitarnya @jayalabusel. Akun tersebut memberikan informasi menggunakan konten seperti video, teks (caption), maupun foto. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui seberapa masif impak dari konten-konten informasi yang diberikan akun Instagram @jayalabusel terhadap kebutuhan informasi followers mereka. Metode penelitian yang dipakai didalam penelitian ini merupakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa survey. Adapun cara sampling yang dipergunakan yaitu random sampling dan populasi dari penelitian ini adalah pengikut (followers) yang berjumlah 100 sampel, ini didapatkan dari rumus Taro Yamane. Hasil dari uji koefisien determinasi dipenelitian ini menunjukkan sebesar 47,7% kebutuhan informasi daerah followers (variable Y) dikarenakan dampak yang diberi oleh konten Instagram akun @jayalabusel (variable X) dan sebesar 52,3% lagi merupakan faktor-faktor yang tidak diteliti yang mempengaruhi. Uji hipotesis yang dilakukan dipenelitian ini memperlihatkan konten Instagram akun @jayalabusel mempunyai impak signifikan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi daerah bagi pengikutnya (followers). Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, Instagram, Kebutuhan Informasi, Media Sosial Abstract: One of Instagram's social media accounts that routinely disseminates information on incidents in Labuhan Batu Selatan district and its surroundings @jayalababusel. The account provides information using content such as videos, text (captions), and photos. The purpose of this study is to find out how massive the impact of the information content provided by the Instagram account @jayalababusel is on the information needs of their followers. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method with data collection techniques in the form of a survey. The sampling method used is random sampling and the population of this study is followers, totaling 100 samples, this is obtained from the Taro Yamane formula. The results of the coefficient of determination test in this study show that 47.7% of the information needs of followers' area (variable Y) is due to the impact given by the Instagram content of the @jayalabusel account (variable X) and another 52.3% are factors that were not examined. influence. The hypothesis test conducted in this study shows that the Instagram content of the @jayalabusel account has a significant impact in meeting the regional information needs of its followers (followers).
