Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social media on tourist engagement and formulate a digital marketing strategy for the development of the historical tourist destination of Siti Nurbaya Park, Gunung Padang, in Padang City. This study uses a mixed methods approach, a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative research design used is explanatory research because it aims to explain the causal relationship between social media (the independent variable) and tourist engagement (the dependent variable). Meanwhile, a qualitative approach is used to deepen the results of the quantitative analysis and formulate a digital marketing strategy for the destination. The quantitative data analysis technique uses simple linear regression analysis to test the relationship between social media variables and tourist engagement. Furthermore, this study also utilizes a SWOT analysis to formulate a digital marketing development strategy for the destination. The results show that social media has a significant influence on tourist engagement, contributing 57.5%. This is reflected in the increased interest in visiting, interactions through digital media, and the tendency of tourists to provide recommendations. Current digital marketing strategies are still limited to the use of Instagram and the official website, supported by short video content. However, limited human resources, digital devices, and minimal community participation hinder optimal promotion. Based on the SWOT analysis, potential strategies include strengthening creative content, expanding the use of digital platforms, collaborating with influencers, and increasing the capacity of local communities in community-based promotion. This research is expected to provide practical contributions to the development of digital marketing strategies for historical tourism destinations, while simultaneously strengthening local cultural identity and regional tourism competitiveness.

Abstract

Pantai Air Manis merupakan salah satu nagari yang berada di kecamatan Padang Selatan. Daerah ini memiliki beberapa potensi yang bisa dikembangkan menjadi kegiatan pariwisata,. Masyarakat di daerah ini berinisiatif membentuk Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) agar melalui Pordarwis tersebut bisa berkembang kegiatan pariwisata di Pantai Air Manis. Saat ini sudah banyak pengunjung yang datang untuk berekreasi ke daerah pantai terebut, namun pantai tersebut belum dikelola dengan baik oleh masyarakat. Pokdarwis yang sudah terbentuk diharapkan bisa mengelola potensi dan sumber daya yang ada. Akan tetapi saat ini sumber daya manusia yang bergabung di Pokdarwis Air Manis masih memiliki keterbatasan dalam pengembangan kegiatan pariwisata di daerah ini. Masih sedikitnya rumah wisata ( homestay ) yang bisa diharapkan dapat menarik kunjungan wisatawan ke objek wisata yang baru dirintis di Pantai Air Manis ini. Oleh sebab itu kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada anggota Pokdarwis Pantai Air Manis dalam memberikan pengetahuan tentang homestay di objek wisata Pantai Air Manis Kota Padang. Kegiatan ini akan dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah, dan diskusi kepada anggota Pokdarwis. Diharapkan setelah kegiatan tersebut, anggota Pokdarwis Air Manis bisa memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat supaya rumah rumah mereka yang kosong bisa dijadikan tempat penginapan para wisatawan

Abstract

Pasumpahan Island is an island with white sand and a clear sea, interesting photo spots, and beautiful views from the top of the hill, making Pasumpahan Island attractive to tourists. Pasumpahan Island is currently being developed as a leading tourist attraction in West Sumatra Province and can help of the people earn more money in Sungai Pisang Village. From observation data and visits made by the author, it was found that there were visitors who felt dissatisfied when visiting Pasumpahan Island. They are dissatisfied with the lack of the bathrooms availability and the quality of the water. Analysis is the study's main goal millennial tourism satisfaction on Pasumpahan Island, Padang City. This type of research is a sort of quantitative descriptive research. data sources that are used for both primary and secondary data. Purposive sampling was utilized as the sampling technique in this study, with a total sample size of 100 respondents, and the millennial generation as the respondent criteria based on the age group above 19–41 years. Regarding the results of a questionnaire using a Likert scale, it shows that the analysis of millennial tourism satisfaction on Pasumpahan Island, Padang City, seen from the indicators of achieving tourists' desires according to expectations, has a percentage of 74%, which is at the interval limit of 1.76-250, namely the dissatisfied category, while the indicator of willingness to give to Pasumpahan Island, Padang City, has a percentage of 80%, namely at the interval limit of 2.5–3.25, it is in the satisfied category. Furthermore, the indicator of interest in returning to Pasumpahan Island, Padang City, has a percentage of 54% at the interval limit of 1.76-250, namely the dissatisfied category.

Abstract

Karena begitu banyak pilihan dan faktor yang perlu dipertimbangkan, memilih destinasi wisata yang sesuai dengan selera wisatawan bisa jadi sulit. Untuk merekomendasikan destinasi wisata, proyek ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan membangun sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) yang efisien. Sistem ini menggunakan pendekatan Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) untuk memeringkat dan menilai lokasi alternatif berdasarkan karakteristik yang relevan dengan preferensi pengguna. Saat memilih opsi terbaik, sistem dapat mempertimbangkan sejumlah variabel, termasuk biaya, fasilitas, jarak, dan cuaca, berkat MAUT. Sistem ini interaktif dan ramah pengguna, memungkinkan pengguna untuk mengirimkan kriteria, alternatif, dan penilaian prioritas guna menghasilkan saran destinasi yang paling sesuai dengan preferensi.
