Abstract

Kesenian tradisional merupakan salah satu perwujudan jati diri bangsa Indonesia yang dapat memberikan gambaran kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia. Oleh karena itu salah satu upaya untuk menunjukkan jati diri bangsa Indonesia adalah dengan melestarikan kesenian tradisional. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada kesenian sasapian di desa Cihideung, kecamatan Parongpong, kabupaten Bandung Barat, provinsi Jawa Barat.    Penelitian ini menitikberatkan pada deskripsi eksistensi kesenian sasapian di desa Cihideung, kecamatan Parongpong, kabupaten Bandung Barat, provinsi Jawa Barat. Bentuk kesenian ini dipilih dikarenakan eksistensinya sudah merambah ke daerah-daerah diluar Banten. Serta dijadikan sebagai Icon dari Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Perlunya dukungan dari berbagai pihak baik yang berasal dari dalam maupun dari luar lingkup di mana kesenian itu hidup dan berkembang. Mengingat kesenian di Indonesia merupakan salah satu kekayaan dan aset bangsa yang memiliki kekhasan yang tidak dimiliki oleh bangsa lain, maka sangat perlu untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi eksistensi kesenian tersebut. Hal ini dikarenakan kesenian mempunyai andil besar dalam memperkokoh ketahanan budaya, serta dalam membentuk masyarakat yang berbudaya.    Dalam penelitian ini penulis menganalisis aspek visual dan mengaitkan kepada unsur dan prinsip dasar seni rupa sebagai kajian pada media kesenian sasapian cihideung. Semoga dengan adanya analisis yang berkaitan dengan kesenian ini, masyarakat akan semakin menjaga dan melestarikan kebudayaan tersebut.

Abstract

The rise of sexual harassment against women has become a social issue that is constantly being discussed. This creates a statement that women are visual objects where women are always seen and cared for by the social environment both from their appearance and behavior. Sometimes, sexual harassment against women instead of making women victims, on the contrary, women are used as objects and are often blamed for the clothes they wear. It can be seen that the appearance of a woman can be a public assessment. This social issue is contained in the neat film Malena, a film that tells about a beautiful widow who is seduced by all the men in Sicily. In this film, the male point of view shows that harassing beautiful women is a pleasure and getting beautiful women is a trophy for them. In essence, the journal entitled "Malena: Representation of Sexual Harassment of Women in Film" aims to prove that so far women have always been used as visual objects.

Abstract

Social media is a platform that is able to connect its users with other users online. One of the most widely used social media is Instagram. Instagram is a social media platform capable of displaying videos and photos that aim to inform and attract the attention of Instagram users in giving judgments. Instagram has ads that display various platforms that collaborate with Instagram. One platform that collaborates with Instagram is Netflix. Netflix is a streaming service platform that contains movies, television shows and series that have a marketing strategy to attract the attention of various platform users, companies and others. Netflix is working with Instagram to be able to attract the attention of Instagram users so they have the desire to use the streaming service provided by Netflix. However, every ad that has high quality and value, such as Netflix, does not necessarily have an impact on Instagram users. Therefore, this study aims to examine the impact of Netflix ads on Instagram users. This type of research is a quantitative research, namely by using a survey of Indonesian Education University students. This study found that Neflix has an influence on Instagram users with indicators from the results of the Neflix ad survey providing an attraction to subscribe. The implications of this research can be a reference for further research and a theoretical reference about the impact of Netflix ads on Instagram users.

Abstract

Analog Switch Off or ASO is a process of stopping analog broadcasts from switching to digital television broadcasts. According to the decision of the government authority, ready or not, the public must switch to digital television, even though the exposure to information and the level of knowledge about digital television is low. Through the Theory of Diffusion of innovation by Everett M. Rogers, attempts to analyze the factors of society switching to Digital Television. This study used a quantitative method with a questionnaire to the Jatihurip Village community. The aim of this research is to find out the differences in demographic profiles between users and non-users of Digital Television, the use of media as a communication channel, and the factors of switching to Digital Television. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis, with the test results showing that innovation opportunities, the number of campaigns, and following technology have a positive and significant effect on the decision to switch to Digital Television for the people of Jatihurip Village, Sumedang Utara District. The Innovation Opportunity factor greatly influences the decision to switch to digital television for the people of Jatihurip Village, Sumedang Utara District.

Abstract

The classification code applied to television programs is certainly not just a small code that is displayed during the airing process. This code has the meaning to classify programs by age category. The classification code of television programs is intended so that viewers can adjust the viewing to age categories and types of shows that are in accordance with social morals. Catatan Si Bocil Program is a problem to analyze about the process of receiving codes to airing events. Another institution tasked with this classification code is the Film Censorship Board as well as the regulations drafted as a provision of broadcasting guidelines. The purpose of this study is intended to convey how important classification codes are on television programs. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, so that the data used is based on the process of observation, interviews, literature studies and documentation. This study found the process of giving classification codes and impressions that have been given classification codes based on the results of assessments conducted by the Film Censorship Institute. The implications of this research can be a reference for television stations in making programs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penggunaan teknik Show Don’t Tell dalam film The Batman. Sebuah teknik yang menekankan penyampaian cerita secara tersirat melalui imaji-imaji visual. Dan dalam film The Batman, teknik ini dimanfaatkan secara maksimal dimana kolaborasi antara Sutradara dengan Sinematografer menghadirkan visual storytelling, sebuah bentuk visual yang tak hanya indah untuk dilihat, tapi juga membawa banyak makna serta cerita. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan dengan mengkaji adegan-adegan dalam film The Batman yang benar-benar merepresentasikan teknik Show Don’t Tell. Untuk membantu proses pengkajian imaji-imaji visual dalam film, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang dilandasi oleh teori semiotika Roland Barthes agar diketahui pemaknaan dibalik imaji-imaji visual tersebut. Dengan begitu, diharapkan jurnal ini dapat membantu pembaca dalam menganalisis, mengkaji, serta menginterpretasi suatu pesan atau cerita tersirat yang direpresentasikan melalui visual dalam sebuah film, dan membantu pembaca untuk melihat film sebagai suatu hal yang lebih dari sekedar media hiburan semata.
