Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kualitas sensori dan penerimaan konsumen terhadap snack bar berbahan dasar ubi jalar ungu melalui tiga formulasi berbeda , yaitu F1 , F2 , dan F3 , yang divariasikan berdasarkan konsentrasi tepung ubi jalar ungu . Sistem ini memanfaatkan Amazon Web Services (AWS), khususnya AWS Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, dan Docker, untuk mengompres gambar segera setelah diunggah. Pengujian hedonik melibatkan dua puluh lima panelis semi-terlatih yang menilai empat atribut utama : warna, aroma, rasa, dan tekstur , untuk menentukan formulasi yang disukai . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi konsentrasi tepung ubi jalar ungu berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter sensori yang diamati . Formulasi F2 menerima skor tertinggi dan paling konsisten di semua atribut . Warna F2 ditemukan lebih menarik karena rona ungu cerah dan stabil , mencerminkan kandungan antosianin yang optimal .​ ​​​ Aroma F2 dianggap paling seimbang , tanpa terlalu kuat .​ ​​ Rasa F2 juga paling disukai , dengan rasa manis alami yang tidak berlebihan , sesuai dengan preferensi panelis .​ ​ Tekstur F2 dinilai ideal , lembut , kencang , dan mudah dikunyah .​ ​ Temuan ini mendukung penelitian sebelumnya yang menunjukkan rasio tepung ubi jalar ungu yang tepat dapat meningkatkan kualitas sensorik produk makanan olahan .​​ Secara keseluruhan, F2 diidentifikasi sebagai formulasi yang paling disukai dan memiliki potensi signifikan untuk dikembangkan sebagai camilan sehat dan fungsional. Penelitian lebih lanjut direkomendasikan untuk menyelidiki stabilitas produk selama penyimpanan dan potensi penambahan bahan fungsional.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the impact of the use of interactive learning media Articulate Storyline 3 on the learning results of students on the material of plant network systems in High School 1 Kabila. This type of research uses the form of true experimental design as a pretest-posttest control group design. The instrument used is a question of double choice to measure learning outcomes, implementation sheets and leaflets of students' activities as well as responses to the use of media articulate storyline 3. The study results were analyzed using an independent sample t-test based on the N-Gain acquisition. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the student’s learning outcomes seen from the N-gain result obtained on average for the experimental class of 0.78 and the control class is 0.50. The performance of the expression class has an average of good categories with the largest number with the highest score of 89%, and the activity of the students in the exhibition class acquires a very active category with the greatest number of nials of 88%. Based on the results of the test of the hypothesis in the experimental class and control class obtained a Sign (2 tailed) value of 0.001 with a signification level (α) 0.05, so that the Sign value (2 tailing) is smaller than the signation level (a) 0.05, thus it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of Articulate Storyline 3 media on the study results of participants on the structure and function of tissue materials in plants.

Abstract

Kacang tanah (Arachis hypogaea L.) merupakan komoditas pertanian bernilai ekonomi dan gizi tinggi serta berpotensi mendukung ketahanan pangan lokal. Gorontalo memiliki varietas kacang tanah lokal, antara lain Pala RH dan Garuda RH, yang perlu dikarakterisasi sebagai dasar pelestarian dan pengembangan varietas unggul lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan karakter morfologi kacang tanah lokal Pala RH dan Garuda RH. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan mengamati karakter vegetatif, generatif, polong, dan biji. Variabel yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, lebar daun, jumlah cabang, jumlah bunga, jumlah buah per tanaman, panjang dan lebar polong, panjang dan lebar biji, serta berat 100 biji. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif berdasarkan rata-rata hasil pengamatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua varietas memiliki sejumlah persamaan, antara lain tipe pertumbuhan tegak dengan cabang lateral menuju ke atas, pola percabangan tidak beraturan tanpa bunga pada cabang utama, batang hijau, daun tidak berbulu, tepi daun rata, ujung daun tumpul, bunga kuning, dan ginofor hijau keunguan. Perbedaan utama terdapat pada waktu berbunga, karakter polong, dan bentuk biji. Garuda RH berbunga lebih cepat, yaitu 22 hari setelah tanam, memiliki polong sedikit berlekuk, retikulasi kulit polong lebih jelas, serta menghasilkan 2–3 biji per polong dengan bentuk agak bulat dan ukuran lebih besar. Sebaliknya, Pala RH berbunga pada 24 HST, memiliki polong dengan lekukan sedang, retikulasi kurang menonjol, serta menghasilkan 1–2 biji per polong dengan bentuk lonjong dan ukuran lebih kecil. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa Pala RH dan Garuda RH memiliki karakter morfologi khas yang dapat digunakan sebagai dasar identifikasi, konservasi, dan pengembangan kacang tanah lokal Gorontalo.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tumbuhan obat yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Desa Poduwoma, serta mengetahui jenis tumbuhan berkhasiat obat yang sering dimanfaatkan, organ tumbuhan yang dimanfaatkan, serta proses pengolahan dari tumbuhan tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Poduwoma, Kecamatan Suwawa Timur, Kabupaten Bone Bolango, Provinsi Gorontalo selama tiga bulan, yaitu bulan Januari sampai dengan Maret 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif eksploratif, yaitu bertujuan untuk menggambarkan atau menjelaskan kejadian berdasarkan fakta di lapangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi langsung di lapangan. Informan yang menjadi sasaran dalam penelitian ini adalah para hatra di desa tersebut dan masyarakat setempat yang aktif memanfaatkan tumbuhan obat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari serta memiliki pengetahuan tentang cara pengolahan tumbuhan obat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Desa Poduwoma memanfaatkan 16 jenis tumbuhan obat. Organ tumbuhan yang dimanfaatkan antara lain daun, rimpang dan batang. Proses pengolahannya meliputi perebusan dan penumbukkan.

Abstract

Bamboo is a versatile plant that has many benefits in the lives of the people of Gorontalo. This research aims to provide taxonomic information on bamboo species in Gorontalo Province, including variations in morphological characters and phenetic relationships of bamboo, as well as information on the traditional use of bamboo. The method used in this research is exploration and interviews. Exploration was carried out to collect information on bamboo taxonomy, while interviews were conducted to find out the use of bamboo by the Gorontalo Community. The research data obtained was then analyzed descriptively to describe and interpret data on morphological variations, phenetic relationships and traditional benefits of the various types of bamboo obtained. Based on the research results, it was obtained that 13 types of bamboo are distributed in Gorontalo which show the unique morphological variations of the varieties which are divided into four genera, namely the genus Gigantochloa has distinctive morphological characteristics on the waxy surface of the stem, the Bambusa genus with characteristic shiny, smooth stems, the Dendrocalamus genus has the largest diameter and stem wall thickness, the genus Schizostachyum has the same morphological characteristics of stem segments and branch lengths. Based on the analysis of phenetic relationships, two main clusters were formed with a similarity value of 61.2%. In terms of traditional uses, it was recorded in this research that most bamboo is used as building construction materials, food sources, traditional medicine, materials for traditional ceremonies, handicrafts, and ornamental plants, as a tool designedto help people's livelihoods and ecological functions. This research also provides the first record of the morphological characteristics and use of each type of bamboo in Gorontalo which can be used for future bamboo breeding and conservation projects.

Abstract

Ekosistem mangrove memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga stabilitas lingkungan pesisir, namun keberadaannya terus mengalami tekanan akibat aktivitas manusia. Salah satu spesies mangrove yang penting untuk dikembangkan dalam upaya rehabilitasi kawasan pesisir adalah Bruguiera gymnorrhiza L. Ketersediaan bibit secara konvensional masih menjadi kendala karena membutuhkan waktu relatif lama dan sangat bergantung pada ketersediaan bahan tanam di alam. Oleh karena itu, kultur jaringan in vitro menjadi salah satu alternatif potensial untuk mendukung perbanyakan tanaman mangrove secara lebih cepat dan terkontrol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi IAA dan kinetin terhadap induksi kalus pada eksplan tangkai daun dan batang muda mangrove Bruguiera gymnorrhiza L. secara in vitro. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan yang digunakan terdiri atas P1, yaitu 0,25 ppm IAA + 0,25 ppm kinetin; P2, yaitu 0,5 ppm IAA + 0,5 ppm kinetin; P3, yaitu 0,75 ppm IAA + 0,75 ppm kinetin; P4, yaitu 1 ppm IAA + 1 ppm kinetin; dan P5 sebagai kontrol tanpa penambahan IAA dan kinetin. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Parameter yang diamati meliputi waktu muncul kalus, morfologi kalus, dan warna kalus. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan P1 memberikan respons terbaik terhadap induksi kalus dengan waktu muncul kalus tercepat, yaitu pada 19 hari setelah tanam (HST). Kalus yang terbentuk pada perlakuan tersebut memiliki karakteristik berwarna kuning. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi IAA dan kinetin pada konsentrasi rendah berpotensi mendukung induksi kalus pada eksplan tangkai daun dan batang muda Bruguiera gymnorrhiza L. secara in vitro.

Abstract

Huluduotamo village is one of the villages in Suwawa District, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. The village is situated in the middle of the countryside within the Suwawa district area. The potential of Huluduotamo village is the potential of natural resources; thus, the exploration of flower morphology and pollen types of various angiosperm families was carried out in the village. Therefore, this study aims to look at and figure out the shape of pollen from different plant families, mainly Malvaceae and Fabaceae, by looking at pollen units, aperture types, wall thickening, and exine decoration. We conducted the sampling in the Huluduotamo village, Gorontalo, using direct observation methods and descriptive analysis under a microscope. The study found that the pollen from the Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L. plant in the malvaceae family has a monad pollen unit, an apantoporate aperture type, thickening of the centrifugal wall, and decoration on the echinate exine. Some plants, like Caesalpinia pulcherrima L. in the Fabaceae family, have pollen that is made up of a single unit, an atricolporate aperture for the red variety and a parasyncolporate aperture for the yellow variety, and psilate axine decoration. The similarity of the monad pollen unit shows how angiosperm plants reproduce, while differences in aperture types and axine ornamentation show how the shape of the plant has changed to support reproduction. This research provides important information for the identification of plant species and supports flowering plants

Abstract

Anthracnose disease is a plant disease caused by the fungus Colletotrichum capsici, the disease is one of the problems in the cultivation of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens). This study aims to test the antagonistic ability of Trichoderma sp. against the fungus Colletotrichum capsici and observe the morphological changes in Colletotrichum capsici colonies exposed to Trichoderma sp in vitro on cayenne pepper plants Capsicum frutescens. The test method was carried out using the dual culture method to determine the percentage of inhibition by studying the interaction between Trichoderma sp. and Colletotrichum capsici colonies on Potato Dextrose Agar culture media. The results showed that Trichoderma sp. fungi can compete for space and resources against Colletotrichum capsici fungi macroscopically by controlling space and resources, and microscopically by producing antibiotics (antimicrobials) that can inhibit the growth of Colletotrichum capsici. The urgency of this research is the need for safe and environmentally friendly disease control efforts. One method that has been widely developed is by utilizing biological agents, such as Trichoderma sp. which is able to inhibit the growth of the pathogen Colletotrichum capsici.

Abstract

Callus induction is a critical stage in anther culture for supporting the propagation and genetic improvement of local banana cultivars. This study evaluated the effect of different combinations of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) on callus induction from goroho banana (Musa acuminata L.) anthers. Observations were conducted for 30 days after induction, focusing on callus emergence time and morphological characteristics, including color and texture. The results demonstrated distinct responses among treatments. The combination of 1.5 ml 2,4-D and 1.5 ml BAP produced the fastest callus initiation with an average of 13.17 days after induction and generated friable callus with a pale yellow coloration, indicating high cellular activity. Lower growth regulator concentrations delayed callus formation, while higher concentrations promoted color changes associated with early tissue differentiation. No callus formation was observed in the absence of exogenous growth regulators. These findings highlight the importance of balanced auxin and cytokinin concentrations in regulating anther-derived callus induction and provide a physiological basis for further development of goroho banana anther culture systems.

Abstract

Abstract. Kandowangko NY, Febriyanti. 2023. Genetic diversity of the genus Citrus in Tomini Bay coastal areas, Indonesia based on morphological characters. BIodiversitas 24: 2938-2952. Citrus plants are one of the fruit plants that are widely consumed by the community, both for food, health, and customs. The existence of Citrus plants in the coastal area of Tomini Bay only grows wild and has not been cultivated intensively. Lack of information on the diversity of citrus and the use of Citrus plants that are not balanced with cultivation actions will threaten the existence of these Citrus plants. This research aims to provide information about the morphological characteristics of the genus Citrus in the coastal area of Tomini Bay. The plant materials used were 39 accessions consisting of 7 species. Descriptive methods and diversity index calculations as well as analysis of phenetic consanguinity data were applied in this study. The results showed that all Citrus accessions have morphological diversity ranging from stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds that are influenced by genetic and environmental factors. The diversity index (H’) was equal to 0.8103 which was categorized as low. The 39 Citrus accessions were divided into two main clusters with a similarity index of 64.3%. The findings of this study are expected to be useful in Citrus breeding and conservation programs in the future.
