Abstract

Neem bark (Azadirachta indica A.Juss) and turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val.) extracts have been found posses gastroprotective effect so that they are used in the treatment of gastric ulcer. Administration of combination of both extracts can give synergistic effect so that the administration dose can be reduced. In this research, combination of neem bark and turmeric extracts were formulated as mucoadhesive granules to improve their effectivenesses by increasing the residence time of dosage form in the stomach. Mucoadhesive granules were prepared by wet granulation method in six formulas using HPMC, Carbopol, and combination of HPMC and Carbopol as mucoadhesive polymers. Granules were evaluated for particle size distribution, swelling, mucoadhesive strength with bioadhesive in vitro test and wash off test, and dissolution. Bioadhesive in vitro test showed that all formulas have goodmucoadhesive strength.Wash off test showed that combination of HPMC and Carbopol can improve mucoadhesive strength of formulas. Mucoadhesive strength increased with the increasing of HPMC. The result of this research indicated that formula with combination ofHPMCand Carbopol (2:1) showed best mucoadhesive strength with percentage of mucoadhesion 98.67%in bioadhesive in vitro test and 38.00% in wash off test.

Abstract

Metode pembelajaran peer teaching merupakan metode pembelajaran yang menugaskan siswa dengan kemampuan lebih untuk berperan menjadi pengajar bagi siswa lain. Metode penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan pembelajaran dalam materi perkalian dengan menerapkan metode peer teaching, dan peningkatan hasil belajar materi perkalian setelah diterapkannya metode pembelajaran peer teaching. Subjek Penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SD Al-Fityah Pekanbaru dengan populasi sebanyak 20 orang. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) perencanaan pembelajaran untuk menerapkan metode pembelajaran peer teaching adalah penentuan materi, pemilihan tutor, dan penyusunan kelompok; (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode peer teaching ialah penyampaian materi dan diskusi dengan dipimpin oleh tutor, serta (3) tercapainya ketuntasan hasil belajar materi perkalian mata pelajaran matematika. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini penelitian disarankan untuk menerapkan penerapan metode pembelajaran peer teaching, sebagai salah satu model pembelajaran inovatif, pada mata pelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Recovery of manganese from manganese ores was investigated by reductive leaching method using reeds as a reductant in the sulfuric acid medium. Cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin are natural reducing agents which are widely used as reducing agents to recover manganese. Effects of calcination temperature and the holding time calcination on the leaching efficiency of manganese and impurities were examined. The calcination temperature and the holding time calcination have a significant effect on the extraction of manganese. The experimental results demonstrated that the higher the calcination temperature used, the higher the percentage of manganese obtained, namely 79.58% and 87.38%, respectively. The XRD (x-ray diffraction) pattern shows that the manganese phases formed at 700 and 800 °C are Mn3O4 (hausmannite) and Mn2O3 (bixbite), respectively. The morphology in the sample with calcination temperature at 700 °C showed agglomerate- shaped particles and unevenly dispersed. Meanwhile, the sample with calcination temperature at 800 °C  exhibited agglomerated particles of inhomogeneous size and were more evenly distributed. Variation of holding time in the manganese ores recovery process also affects the results of manganese recovery. The composition of the manganese recovery in the samples using holding time calcination variations of 3 and 4 hours was 83.88% and 89.24%, respectively. The results of the XRD analysis showed that the manganese phase formed using 3 hours of calcination holding time was dominated by Mn3O4 (hausmannite). Meanwhile, the manganese phase formed using 4 hours of holding time of calcination was dominated by Mn2O3 (bixbite).

Abstract

Social emotional learning (SEL) is an educational approach that focuses on developing social and emotional skills, attitudes and values in learners. This literature review aims to understand the basic concept of SEL, identify problems in its implementation, and offer solutions and development ideas in the primary school environment. The method used is content analysis and narrative synthesis of relevant literature, focusing on publications from 2003 to 2025. The results show that SEL plays an important role in improving learners' motivation to learn, academic outcomes, and social skills. However, the implementation of SEL still faces challenges such as lack of teacher training, lack of integration in the curriculum, and low student motivation due to lack of understanding and practice of SEL in the classroom. Proposed solutions include teacher training, integration of SEL in learning, and development of collaborative and project-based learning models. The article also provides ideas for the development of SEL through literacy approaches, emotional education, and the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of a contextual learning-based leadership project through handicraft activities with wire bristles as the main material at UPT SD Negeri 001 Salo. This project is designed to improve students' creativity, fine motor skills, and self-confidence through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) approach. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method, which aims to describe in depth the process and results of implementing the learning leadership project at UPT SD Negeri 001 Salo. The main focus of the study is on the use of wire bristles as a medium in learning Arts and Crafts. The results show that the project not only succeeded in achieving its main objectives, but also increased student participation, strengthened collaboration between teachers, and created a more active and enjoyable learning atmosphere. These findings reinforce the importance of contextual learning activities that directly involve students and provide space for exploration of creativity. Recommendations are directed at developing sustainable projects and increasing resource support and community participation.

Abstract

This research is entitled Student Management for Children with Special Needs: Case Study of Blind Students at SLB-A PRPCN Palembang. This research aims to understand the management of students with special needs who are blind in depth and discover strategic factors and problems. This research is a Collective Case Study which breaks down several scopes and finds strategic factors for student management. Data collection methods are interviews, observation and documentation, while data analysis techniques are carried out by data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. Data validity techniques use source triangulation and technical triangulation. Based on the research results, 12 important factors were found in student management at SLB-A PRPCN Palembang, 3 of which were strategic factors, namely student acceptance, training and self-development and alumni tracking. First, student acceptance is carried out openly. The school prepares for the meeting, new students fill out forms and complete the requirements and take a self-assessment. Early assessment aims to obtain clear information regarding prospective students, both physical and mental readiness. Second, training and personal development are carried out effectively. The school carries out religious training such as recitations and tahfidz of the Koran as well as training in music, computers, massage and scouting. Third, the school implements the alumni tracer program well. A group of alumni who have established alumni ties. These three things are strategic factors in student management for children with special needs who are blind.
