Abstract

This research was conducted in the area Tanjung Buli, East Halmahera regency. This area has ironore resources in the prospects for exploration to exploitation with data obtained using spaced borehole25meter. Point kriging method with software SGeMS (Standard Geostatistic Modeling software) usedfor assessing of iron ore resource with size of block model dimensions 41x23x205 and unit blocks25x25x1 (in meters). The results of the assessment point kriging method obtained estimated values ofFe and kriging variance value is then used for the classification of resources based on relative krigingstandard deviation (RKSD) as classification of resource measured, indicated, and inferred. The resultsof cross-validation of the assay data-Fe-Fe estimation data from point kriging method. The results ofresource assessment Fe of measured amounted to 3,081,125 tonnes, Indicated amounted to6,878,563 tonnes and Inferred amounted to 97,781,563 tonnes. The pattern of spread showed high Fecontent above 14.40% Fe dispersed randomly (varies) or local-local in units of small blocks.Correlation coefficient value showed of 0.89 so it has a strong correlation between the assay data-Fewith Fe estimation data.

Abstract

This research about water quality testing on unconventional mining land in Merawang District,Bangka Regency to be used as a water source for fulfilling daily needs for the surroundingcommunity.Sampling is done by purposive sampling by taking into account the considerationof the condition and state of the landscape from the research area. The sample points weretaken as many as 2 samples with different conditions where sample 1 was obtained from thewater under the results of the dominant tin mine tailings in the form of sandstone and claystones and sample 2 from the water under the results of tin mine tailings in the form of kaolin. The taking distance from the two samples is close to about 5 Km. From the results of fielddata collection and laboratory analysis, the pH value in sample 1 was 5.71 and sample 2 was5.57, TSS had a value in sample 1 of 7 mg / L and sample 2 of 8 mg / L, while the TDS valuein sample 1 was 92 mg / L and sample 2 was 8 mg / L. Whereas from laboratory analysis ofdissolved metals obtained values in sample-1 and sample-2 in the form of copper (Cu) havethe same value of 0.0153 and lead (Zn) 0.0531 while sample-2 value of lead dissolved metal(Zn) is 0, 0977. From the chemical and physical parameters and analysis of dissolved metalsif based on the Minister of Health Regulation No. 416 ,1990 about Water QualityRequirements and Supervision and Government Regulation No. 82, 2001 aboutManagement of Water Quality and Water Pollution Control is still classified under the qualitybook and is determined by the value of the Pollution Index based (IPj) on the Decree of theMinister of Environment Number 115,2003 about Guidelines for Determining the Status ofWater Quality. This method is used to determine the level of pollution relative to permittedwater quality parameters. The results obtained indicate that the water quality in the twosamples is categorized as inappropriate (light polluted) as a drinking water qualityrequirement because it has a pollution index value for designation (IPj ) sample-1 was 2.15and sample-2 was 1.86.

Abstract

Indonesia have natural resources in producing rare earth elements (REE). The abundance ofmineral resources in Bangka Island is related to the strategic geological position of BangkaIsland formed on the Southeast Asian Tin Belt (Cobbing, 2005). Geologically, the REEdeposits are associated with acid rocks (granitic) and phosphatic deposits. This studyfocuses on primary samples taken directly from ex tin mining area and ex kaolin mining inMerawang District, Bangka. The analysis of the sample uses X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) tofind out the REE content are Ce, La, Nd, Sb, Sc, Sm, Te, Th, Y, and U. The analysis resultsshow that the spread of elemental content in the sample tends to have a relatively similarpresence. But in Sample 1 shows the Ce element is the dominant element that is equal to25.19 ppm, equivalent to 0.002% of its availability in sedimentary sand in the ex tin mining.while on the ex kaoline mining area the results of the analysis showed that there wasThorium (Th) content in Sample 3 of 70.05 ppm or 0.007% and was the highest contentcompared to other elements in all samples.

Abstract

Cassitterit is a valuable mineral containing tin and other minerals as mining products in the Bangka Belitung Islands region. Sambung giri Hill, Merawang District, Bangka Regency is one of the places where primary tin deposits occur. Estimation of subsurface images can be interpreted using geophysical methods in the form of resistivity methods and geomagnetic methods. The measurement of resistivity method uses 6 lines with dipole-dipole configuration while the geomagnetic method with looping measurement technique as many as 13 lines with each line consists of several measurement points within 20 meters, consisting of 10 lines to the South-North direction, and 3 trajectories to the West- East. Based on the results of the study, the primary tin deposit estimation from the resistivity method in the form of a cross section of resistivity shows a low resistivity value (<700 Ohm.m) while the geomagentic method in the form of Reduction To Equator (RTE) shows a low geomagnetic anomaly (<0.8 nT). The spread of primary tin deposits is estimated to be found in the Northwest-Southeast direction.

Abstract

Unconventional mining is still the choice of the people of Bangka Island. One of the locations on the Bangka islands that still conduct tin mining activities on a small scale or community scale is Sambung Giri Hill, Merawang District, Bangka Regency. Based on understanding distribution patterns of the mineral will provide a general description that can prevent and minimize damage caused by mining activities. Interpolation of Tin (Sn), zircon (Zn) and hematite (Fe2O3) using anisotropic semivariogram in the Ordinary Kriging method uses the distribution pattern of each of these minerals. In this method uses the best anisotropic semivariogram model of each mineral. Models that are more suitable for hematite and zircon minerals are exponential, whereas tin uses the Gaussian model. Based on the results of the Ordinary Kriging method, the mineral distribution pattern was obtained in accordance with the east direction around the Sambung Giri Hill. The estimated pattern of mineral distribution, provides a general description that can minimize environmental damage due to mining activities in Sambung Giri Hill.
