Abstract

Abstract : The research using scaffolding learning strategies has been done onthe subject of colloids in class XI IPA SMAN 1 Perhentian Raja. This study aims toknowed improved student achievement on the subject of colloids with the application ofscaffolding learning strategies and student achievement improvement category. Thisresearch was a form of experimental research with the draft design randomized controlgroup pretest-posttest. The study population was all students of class XI IPA at SMAN 1Perhentian Raja. The samples were students of class XI IPA 2 as experimental class andclass XI IPA 1 as the control class. The experimental class was applied scaffoldinglearning strategies, while the control class using discussion method. Data wereanalyzed using t-test. Results from the study showed t count > t table (5,97 > 1,67),meaning that the application of scaffolding learning strategies can improve studentachievement on the subject of colloids in class XI IPA SMAN 1 Perhentian Raja. Theraising student achievement category in the experimental class including normalizedgain a high score of 0,76.Keywords : Scaffolding Learning Strategies, Student Achievement, Colloid

Abstract

Abstract: Research was aimed to improve study result of student on solubility and result times solubility subject has been doing in class XI science SMAN 1 Pekanbaru. This research was a form of experiments research with design pretest-posttest. Sample of the research were student of class XI science 3 as experimental class and class XI science 4 as control class. The experimental class was applied TTW learning strategy while the control class using discussion method. Data were analized using t- test. Result from the data analysis showed t count > t table (2,39 > 1,68). It means TTW learning strategy can increase the student learning achievement on topic of solubility equilibrium in class XI science SMAN 14 Pekanbaru with category of increase learning achievment on topic of solubility equilibrium in class XI science is high category.Key Word: study results, problem based learning, solubility and result time solubility

Abstract

This study aims to develop a model learning tool for Susan Loucks-Horsley that is suitable to be used for Integrated science learning in junior high school grade VII semester 1, investigating the validity, practicality and effectiveness of learning tools in improving student learning outcomes of science materials. Research uses the method of Development Research four D models (definition, design, development, desimination). Learning tools developed in the form of Learning Implementation Plans, Student Learner Worksheets and Assessment Sheets.Data collection uses a validation sheet for learning tools for assessment of Learning Plans,Student Worksheets and Sheets Assessment., Assessment Sheet by experts and users; questionnaire to find out the practicality; observation sheets to observe student activities, and test learning outcomes to determine the effectiveness of the device. Data analysis was performed with quantitative descriptive techniques and different tests. The research was carried out only until the definition stage and design development of the Model Susan Loucks-Horsley learning tool in VII grade junior high school science in energy systems in living systems

Abstract

This research aims to (1) develop valid problems to measure Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) for chemical teacher candidates on ionic equilibrium topic (2) evaluate chemical teacher candidates’ HOTS on ionic equilibrium topic. Research is a development research type formative research that consist of analyzing, designing, evaluating, and revising. All data are analyzed using descriptive technique. Subject in this research are chemical teacher candidates of University of Riau Chemical Education Study Program. The results of this research are: (1) four of valid HOTS problems on ionic equilibrium topic. (2) value of chemical teacher candidates’ HOTS on ionic equilibrium topic is 33.18 which put in medium category.

Abstract

Abstract: Research on the application of Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectual (SAVI) learning model is aimed to know the improvement of critical thinking ability of students in class XI MIA SMAN 2 Bangkinang Kota on colloidal material. This research method is experimental research with Randomized Control Group Prestest-Posttest design. The data collection instruments used through prerequisite data, pretest and posttet data are based on the H. Ennis indicator. Data analysis technique that is by normality test, homogeneity, hypothesis and improvement of critical thinking ability. Research shows that the application of learning model Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectual (SAVI) can increase students' critical thinking ability on colloid material in class XI MIA SMAN 2 Bangkinang Kota. Improved students' critical thinking skills are in the medium category with N-gain of 0.63.Key Words : SAVI Learning Model, Critical Thinking, Colloid.

Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to determine the application of Inside Outside Circletechniques can improve student achievement in the subject substance and proceduresequation at the class X SMAN 10 SIAK. This research was conducted at SMAN 10SIAK. Research data retrieval time in July 2011 until July 2014. Study was conductedexperimental research with pretest-posttest research plan. The population in this studywere students of class X SMAN 10 SIAK year 2011-2012. Student sample consisted of 2classes of 4 existing classes which is have the academic skills that are homogeneous,experimental class is class X2 and control class is class X4. The design used in thisstudy was a pretest-posttest design is experimental class and control class.Implementation of the research carried out in two phases, namely Phase Preparation,Implementation Phase. The research instrument is the device that is learning syllabus,lesson plan (RPP) which includes a quiz and evaluation of Student Worksheet. Datacollection instruments in the form of data homogeneity test and pretest-posttestquestions. The data in this study were tested using the statistical test is the t-test. Basedon the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the application ofcooperative learning model application inside outside techniques circle to improvestudent achievement in learning subject substance and procedure sequation at class Xin SMAN 10 SIAK with t count> t table 4,86> 1,67.Key Words: student achievement, cooperative, Inside Outside Circle techniques

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to improve the student activity andachievement used active learning strategy Jeopardy Review on the subject of colloid inclass XI science 7 MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru. This research was conducted in twocycle. Each cycle consisted of two meetings. Learning activity data is collected byobservation sheet and learning result data is collected by test. The analysis data wasdescrib with descriptively. The result of action showed that learning activity percentageof student improved and reached the success criteria. The learning activity of studentpercentage in first cycle was 56,35% with enough category and the second cycle was69,90% with good category. Student learning activities are good in line with thelearning outcomes obtained by student. Student achievement was seen from masterylearning that enhances and have achieved success criteria. The percentage of studentachievement in the first cycle was 73,08% and the second cycle was 88,46%. Based onthe results obtained, it can be concluded that using active learning strategy jeopardyreview can improve the activity and student achievement.Keyword: Active learning strategy Jeopardy Review, student learning activity, student achievement, colloid

Abstract

Abstract: The development of an Interactive E-Module Based on ScienceLiteracy for chemical bonding material aims to produce a valid E-Module andunderstand user responses. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D)design using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation,Evaluation), limited to the implementation stage. The data collection instruments usedwere validation sheets and user response questionnaires. The research subjects were 3students for individual trials, 2 teachers, and 20 students for limited trials from twoschools in SMAN Pekanbaru. The research results show that the Interactive E-ModuleBased on Science Literacy is valid based on the evaluations of material and mediavalidators, with average percentage scores of 92.64% and 91.96%, respectively. Thequestionnaire results from teachers and students fall into the excellent criteria, withaverage percentage scores of 92.05% and 90.28%, respectively. Therefore, theInteractive E-Module Based on Science Literacy for chemical bonding material is validand can be used as learning materials in chemistry learning.Key Words: Interactive E-Module, Science Literacy, Chemical Bonding

Abstract

This developmental research aims to develop learning media as a digital pocketbook based on 3D Pageflip Professional on the valid Reaction Rate material.  This type of research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.  This research was carried out only until the development stage.  The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive statistics, namely by calculating the percentage of validation values.  The data obtained came from validators consisting of 3 expert lecturers, respondents consisting of 2 chemistry teachers and 30 students from two high schools, SMA Negeri 4 and SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru.  The results showed that the development of learning media in the form of a digital pocketbook on the Reaction Rate material was declared valid to meet the aspects of substance content, learning design, display (visual communication), software utilization with percentages of 90%, 98.21%, 93,75% respectively, 94.44%.. the overall average score of digital pocketbook validation is 94.1%.  The results of the trial of user responses with teachers and students to digital pocketbooks showed that the reaction rates were 96.32% and 86.61%, respectively, with practical criteria by teacher respondents and interesting criteria by students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan E-LKPD pada materi termokimia yang berbasis Experiential Learning dengan memanfaatkan platform Wizer.Me sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian difokuskan untuk menghasilkan produk yang valid dan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Proses penelitian melibatkan tahapan validasi serta uji coba terbatas untuk memastikan kualitas produk. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain pengembangan atau dikenal sebagai Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengadopsi model 4-D yang terdiri dari empat tahap utama: Define (pendefinisian), Design (perancangan), Develop (pengembangan), dan Disseminate (penyebaran). Hasil penelitian validasi oleh validator materi dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan kelayakan isi, karakteristik Experiential Learning, penggunaan bahasa, teknik penyajian, dan aspek kegrafisan. Rata-rata skor kelayakan yang diperoleh adalah 95,97% yang tergolong dalam kriteria valid. Hasil penelitian validasi oleh validator media memiliki beberapa aspek yang dinilai meliputi desain sampul, tata letak isi E-LKPD, dan kualitas teknis. Hasil validasi menunjukkan nilai kelayakan dengan rata-rata skor 100%, yang juga tergolong dalam kriteria valid. Respon guru dan peserta didik menghasilkan tanggapan positif, dengan rata-rata persentase respon guru sebesar 93,75% dan dari peserta didik sebesar 88,51%, keduanya termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik.
