Abstract

Abstract: This study is aimed to develop learning media by using Adobe Flash CS4 software on the subject of Hydrocarbons at Chemistry Education study program. The result of this study is a product of learning media in the form of tutorial CD for hydrocarbon subject at Chemistry Education study program which has contents as follows: the determination of carbon atom C and H, the classification of hydrocarbons, the structure of alkane, alkyne and alkune, isomers, and the reaction of the hydrocarbon compounds. This study used Research and Development (R&D) method with ADDIE model which has five stages of development; they are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The development model was modified by the writer only until the development stage. The result of validation test showed that learning media on the subject of Hydrocarbons is good with the result of validation by media experts 88.5% and material experts 92.5%, so the developed learning media is properly used on the learning and teaching process. The result of the development still has to be tried out at the students in teaching and learning process before it is used on a wider scale.Key Words : Development of learning media, Adobe Flash CS4, Hydrocarbon

Abstract

Situasi pandemi membentuk ekosistem pendidikan menjadi penuh dengan aktivitas yang dilakukan dalam jaringan (daring). Pembelajaran di tingkat sekolah menengah atas ikut mengalami dampak aktivitas daring yang dirasakan oleh siswa dan orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran daring berdasarkan prespektif orang tua. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualittatif deskriptif dengan teknik survei kepada 35 orang tua siswa kelas XI tingkat SMK di Kota Malang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif terhadap tiga domain kategori analisis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh 85,7 % orang tua sepakat pembelajaran daring, 100% orang tua telah mengetahui aplikasi yang digunakan dan 54,3 orang tua mengeluhkan kesulitan anak dalam memahami materi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan supaya pihak sekolah melakukan kajian lebih lanjut berkaitan dengan daya tahan fisik dan psikis siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran daring supaya transfer ilmu pengetahuan sekaligus praktis tetap berlangsung secara optimal dan efektif.

Abstract

Perubahan system proses pembelajaran di Indonesia pada masa pandemic Covid – 19 membuat masyarakat Indonesia harus bersiap jika nantinya diterapkan kembali pembelajaran jarak jauh. Pada penelitian ini akan dipaparkan mengenai peran dari metode blended learning berbasis proyek dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik terkhusus pada pembelajaran kimia. Penelitian ini mengacu pada metode studi literature dari beberapa sumber seperti buku dan jurnal. Berdasarkan hasil studi literature yang dilakukan, adanya penerapan dari metode blended learning berbasis proyek ini mampu memberikan kemudahan bagi peserta didik untuk memahami suatu materi kimia sehingga dapat mendorong kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik untuk terus berkembang dan terlatih semakin baik. Keefektifan yang lebih besar terjadi pada penerapan blended learning berbasis proyek dibandingkan dengan penerapan salah satunya baik dari blended learning ataupun project based learning.

Abstract

At the moment, Indonesia is moving into the endemic phase. For information on healthy living in the world of  education. The purpose of this study is to highlight the value of physical literacy as a means of  embracing this time of transition. At this time, there is no clear correlation between the online sports learning process and the field-based lectures themselves. It is necessary to promote physical literacy in order to boost physical activity. Sports learning will therefore function effectively. The study conducted a thorough review of many articles on physical literacy. A total of 12 studies were included in this review. The outcome is that, in general, physical literacy will be better applied right away, specifically when the child is still a young child.

Abstract

This study explores the role of education in enhancing essential competencies aligned with contemporary demands, focusing on the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile (P5) project within Indonesia's independent curriculum. The research aims to analyze the implementation of the P5 initiative in Sekolah Penggerak in Siak Regency and its effect on students' 4C skills (collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity). Employing a descriptive research design with both quantitative and qualitative approaches, data was gathered through questionnaires and interviews, then analyzed statistically. Random sampling was used to select participants. The findings indicate that teachers in Siak Regency's Sekolah Penggerak perform well, with an average score of 3.73. The P5 implementation by students is rated very highly, averaging 4.32. In terms of 4C skills, students demonstrate excellent collaboration (4.51) and communication (4.29) abilities, while their critical thinking (4.15) and creativity (4.14) are classified as good. A correlation test reveals a positive relationship between P5 implementation and the development of 4C skills.

Abstract

Organic waste such as vegetable and fruit waste that is not managed properly can reduce environmental quality, organic waste can react anaerobically, causing unpleasant odors, vector and rodent breeding and methane gas released into the atmosphere causes global warming which can damage the ozone layer. Organic waste such as vegetable and fruit waste can be used as liquid fertilizer using the Eco-Enzyme method. Eco-Enzyme is a liquid that has a good impact on the environment, a cheap production process, and is also easy to use. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase insight and knowledge about the empowerment and utilization of organic kitchen waste with the Eco-Enzyme method as liquid fertilizer for plants in the Tanjung Gading village farmer group. With this community service activity, the level of knowledge and motivation for making eco-enzyme in farmer groups increased from 18.8% to 100%.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran penting untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan keterlibatan siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan melatih guru di Kecamatan Tualang, Kabupaten Siak, dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Pear Deck. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada 20 Oktober 2023, diikuti oleh 17 guru dari berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Metode pelatihan meliputi penyampaian materi, demonstrasi penggunaan aplikasi, pendampingan praktik langsung, dan evaluasi dengan angket kepuasan. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman guru tentang teknologi pembelajaran, memotivasi mereka untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam proses belajar, dan membantu menciptakan perangkat pembelajaran yang interaktif.

Abstract

The PjBL learning model needs to be outlined in a learning module to help learning be more interesting and effective. During the two years of the implementation of the green pedagogy course, there has been no PjBL-based learning module that can be used by students. This research aims to produce PjBL-based e-modules to improve the effectiveness of green pedagogy learning. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research using the ADDIE model, with development steps namely; Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research sample is 30 students who are taking green pedagogy courses. The research instrument consisted of a validation sheet with descriptive data analysis techniques. The module feasibility testing stage is carried out by product validation by two experts. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that PjBL-based e-modules are very valid and can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka menekankan pembelajaran berbasis proyek untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan potensi siswa. Salah satu implementasinya adalah Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5), yang mendorong siswa untuk terlibat aktif dengan lingkungan sekitar. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan konsep zero waste sekaligus memberikan keterampilan praktis kepada guru untuk mendekatkan siswa pada isu lingkungan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui penyampaian materi, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, serta pendampingan. Hasil evaluasi dari 16 peserta menunjukkan respons positif terhadap pelatihan, dengan 100% peserta mengakui manfaat, kemudahan, dan relevansi materi pelatihan. Faktor utama keberhasilan adalah antusiasme peserta dan kerja sama yang solid antara tim pengabdi dan pihak sekolah. Pelatihan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mendukung pendidikan berbasis lingkungan dan pembelajaran terdiferensiasi pada Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of ethnoscience into chemistry education by using the traditional shrimp paste production process in Meranti Islands Regency, Riau, Indonesia as a contextual learning resource. The research method used a qualitative descriptive case study approach, with data collection involving field observations, in-depth interviews with five shrimp paste producers (ethnographic data), and a review of scientific literature (scientific data). The findings indicate that the shrimp paste production process still heavily relies on inherited local knowledge and involves several stages: sorting and washing, crushing, molding, fermentation, drying, and heating over a fire. Each of these stages contains chemical aspects that can be analyzed through various approaches: a macroscopic approach (examining physical and chemical changes such as color, aroma, and texture), a submicroscopic approach (focusing on molecular and enzymatic interactions), and a symbolic approach (exploring chemical reactions such as hydrolysis, fermentation, and Maillard reactions). Furthermore, the study reveals that the community’s knowledge of the shrimp paste production process is supported by scientific principles, as documented in the literature. The results suggest that shrimp paste production not only contributes to the local economy and cultural preservation but also holds significant potential for enhancing students’ scientific literacy through an integrated chemical representation approach. The integration of these three levels of chemical representation is expected to provide students with a holistic and applied understanding of chemical concepts.
