Abstract

The waste problem has developed into a serious problem that affects society as a whole, especially in urban areas, in many countries due to population growth, and social and economic activities. As long as humans live on Earth, the amount of waste produced by humans will continue to increase. Garbage is one of the results of human activity, and the amount of waste increases along with population. (Hartono, 2008). This type of research is descriptive quantitative research with the design used being cross-sectional which emphasizes measuring/observing independent and dependent variable data only once at a time. This research was carried out by distributing questionnaires which were then filled in independently by the respondents. The respondents for this research were 35 students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 elementary school students at Sanggar Guidance Hulu Langat. The sample in this study was taken from the entire student population. Then the data was analyzed using univariate analysis. The results show that there are 74.3% of respondents aged ≥ 6 – 12 years, the majority of respondents are male, namely 21 (60%), as many as 77.1% of respondents have good knowledge about waste management, and the majority of respondents, namely 74.3%, already have positive attitudes towards waste management. Students with good knowledge were 77.1%, and the majority of respondents 74.3% had positive attitudes towards waste management. Suggestions for students.

The sample consisted of 60 employees of the PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia Health Unit selected through total sampling. Primary data was collected using a questionnaire of OHS knowledge and behavior including age, gender, education, tenure and knowledge. Data analysis was performed by chi square test with the limit of significance used (P < 0.05). A total of 91.7% of health workers aged 18-35 years and as many as 98.3% of health workers had good knowledge by univariate analisys. There is a significant relationship between the age factor and the PPE use behavior of health workers with the results (p=0.039) and the knowledge factor with the PPE use behavior of health workers with the results (p=0.006). Age and knowledge of health workers at PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia have an influence on PPE use behavior. Abstract

ABSTRACT In Indonesia, the main cause of death and disease is caused by food problems. Based on data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, there were 4,792 cases of food poisoning in Indonesia in 2023. The main factors that often cause food contamination are poor hygiene and sanitation, both from food handlers, unsuitable eating utensils, sales locations, and food ingredients that do not meet health standards. This study is a descriptive study, namely describing the hygiene and sanitation behavior of food handlers in restaurants in Pamulang District in 2025. The study was conducted in May - June 2025 on Jalan Raya Pamulang, Pamulang District in 2025 with a sample of all food handlers totaling 54 restaurants. The results showed that respondents had poor behavior as many as 29 respondents (53.7%), respondents who had poor knowledge as many as 35 respondents (64.8%) while respondents who had poor attitudes as many as 39 respondents (53.7%). Although the respondents' attitudes regarding food handlers' hygiene are generally good, in implementing hygiene practices, there are still some respondents who do not practice hygiene properly. Therefore, food handlers must always ensure that their personal hygiene, equipment, food ingredients, and the processing environment are well maintained. Abstract

Construction workers in Indonesia occupy a group with a high risk of dehydration due to working conditions in open spaces, exposure to hot sun, and heavy physical activity. The construction workforce numbers more than 8 million people, the majority of whom work in outdoor areas. Indonesia's tropical climate with an average temperature of 26-33°C and humidity above 70% increases the risk of fluid loss and shows that the average drinking water consumption of construction workers is only about 1-1.5 litres per day. This increases the risk of decreased concentration, fatigue, low productivity, and work accidents. This study used quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. The method used was through distributing questionnaires to construction workers and there were 135 respondents in this study. The majority of respondents had poor drinking water consumption patterns (51.9%), while only 65 people (48.1%) consumed sufficient amounts of water according to the standard daily fluid requirements. Then from the aspect of work climate, as many as 82 respondents (60.7%) were stated to work in an unfavourable work climate, while 53 respondents (39.3%) were in a work environment that was categorised as good. Meanwhile, in terms of dehydration status, most respondents were dehydrated. It was recorded that 91 respondents (67.4%) were in a dehydrated condition, while only 44 people (32.6%) The results of this study indicate that low drinking water consumption and climatic conditions are associated with dehydration.
