Abstract

Treatment of microbial resistance is one of humankind's greatest challenges in terms of fight against infectious diseases. One way to overcome microbial resistance is discovery of potent new antimicrobial compounds against variety of microbial pathogens. Land is one potential source of microorganisms. This study aims to screen in order to get a fungal strains isolated from soil exposed to waste the pharmaceutical industry which possess antibacterial activity. Antibacterial activity test conducted on two types of bacteria, namely Staphylococcus aureus as Gram-positive bacteria and Escherichia coli as Gram-negative bacteria. The test results can be known isolates of fungi which has potential as an antibacterial, for then these are fermented for 10 days. Fermented then partitioned by using ethyl acetate. Initial screening showed that the fungi code TIF-1 as the most active fungi. Ethyl acetate soluble fraction was then identified the active compounds using thin layer chromatography method with various reagent spray. Bioautografi test results show that the saponins which play role in the antibacterial activity. ©2016 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved.

Abstract

Inorganic compound nomenclature is one of the most basic concepts in chemistry. Therefore, for students, correct naming of the chemicals is essential before learning advanced chemistry. However, nomenclature as a learning topic consists of rules and thus requires frequent practice. Tenth graders will face difficulties if they have remember thousands of the chemicals' names. The objective of this research is to develop and validate the effectiveness of android-based learning media to help students in learning chemical compound nomenclature. In order to meet the goal, this study was conducted in stages; they are (1) information collection, (2) planning, (3) product draft development, (4) small-scale trials, (5) product revisions, and (6) large-scale trials. The effectiveness of the examined mobile-app was measured using post-test questions, resulting in 87.88% student completion. Furthermore, since experts have been in agreement concerning the validity of the examined mobile app – both the content and the media, the app can be used for learning process.

Abstract

Students at SMA Negeri 1 Subah, Batang Regency, Central Java, in the post-pandemic era , need auxiliary media that can be widely accessed , are timeless , and are needed to support face-to-face learning in class, such as learning videos . Auxiliary media This can developed and produced alone by the teacher without must relying on digital platforms such as YouTube. However, only a small number of teachers at SMA Negeri I Subah have been able to develop and produce learning videos. Because yes , activities This aim For accompany all the teachers subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Subah for develop and produce learning videos through systematic and comprehensive steps. This activity includes several important stages, namely: (1) recognizing and compiling learning video scripts, (2) practicing the basics of Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), (3) producing videos based on scripts, (4) modifying learning videos into interactive videos using H5P, and (5) dissemination of results. This activity ends with an assessment and evaluation of the learning videos produced at the end of the activity and the overall implementation of the activity. The results of this activity show that the number of teachers is capable develop and produce learning videos experience improvement , though Not yet significant . Learning videos produced by teachers have been fulfil terms , though Still need improved the quality . Motivation and support from schools and parties related need improved so that teachers continue enthusiastic produce quality learning video products.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to design a creative and innovative Android-based chemistry learning media, Chemistry Learning on Android (CHEMONDRO), supported by Articulate Storyline to enhance students’ motivation and learning outcomes, particularly in the topic of green chemistry. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Four-D (4D) development model, which was simplified into Three-D (3D): Define, Design, and Develop. The feasibility, effectiveness, and user responses toward the media were the main considerations in this study. CHEMONDRO was validated by experts in both content and media, with results showing a material expert validation score of 97.66%, media expert validation of 97.62%, and teacher validation of 92.86%, indicating a very high level of feasibility. The learning outcome improvement was analyzed using the N-Gain test, which resulted in an average N-Gain of 0.70 and 0.79, categorized as moderate and high improvement. In addition, affective and psychomotor domains of the students showed very good results. Readability testing in a small group reached 95.10%, while the implementation feasibility scored 93.89%. Large-scale student responses showed a very positive result of 94.46%. Based on these findings, CHEMONDRO is considered highly feasible, effective, and well-received as a media tool to support chemistry learning and improve student engagement and outcomes, particularly in green chemistry material.
