Abstract

This community service activity aimed to utilize interactive flipbooks as a digital learning innovation to enhance students’ learning motivation and participation. The activity was conducted at MI Syafi’iyah NU Tarokan Banyuanyar Probolinggo, involving teachers and students through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which included the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected using pre-test and post-test instruments to measure changes in students’ motivation and participation before and after the implementation of interactive flipbooks. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ learning motivation and participation, as indicated by an increase in motivation scores from 62% to 90% and participation scores from 55% to 90%. These findings demonstrate that interactive flipbooks contribute positively to creating a more engaging, participatory, and student-centered learning environment. Therefore, interactive flipbooks can be recommended as an effective and sustainable digital learning innovation to improve the quality of classroom learning

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of technology-based Tajweed educational game applications in learning the Qur'an Hadith in grade IV of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darussalam. This study also examines students' learning experiences, teachers' perspectives, and factors that support or inhibit their use. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The collected data is then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the application can create a more interactive and student-focused Tajweed learning process with material features, audio pronunciation features, and interactive quizzes. This application has also been proven to increase motivation, participation, independence, and increase students' confidence in reading the Qur'an correctly according to the rules of tajweed. Teachers gave positive responses to the use of the application. As a learning support tool in the digital era, the use of this application is supported by student enthusiasm, attractive audio-visual displays, and guidance from teachers. However, some challenges still remain, such as limited devices, limited internet access, limited study time, and potential obstacles due to smartphone use.

Abstract

Fiqh learning on the topic of zakat al-fitr in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is still frequently conducted using conventional lecture-based methods, which tend to result in low student participation and limited understanding. This study aims to: (1) describe the implementation process of the role-playing learning model assisted by mini-drama media in teaching the topic of zakat al-fitr, (2) examine the level of understanding of fifth-grade students after participating in learning activities using this model and media, and (3) identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 26 fifth-grade students, one fiqh teacher, and the principal of MI Al–Islamiyah Karanganyar Paiton as supporting informants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the role-playing model supported by mini-drama media was carried out systematically through several stages, including planning, role-playing activities, discussion, and reflection. The learning process became more active, interactive, and engaging, which contributed to improving students’ understanding of zakat al-fitr material in both cognitive and affective aspects. Most students were able to clearly re-explain the concept of zakat al-fitr, its rules and regulations, and its practical implementation. The main supporting factors were students’ enthusiasm and strong support from the teacher, while the inhibiting factors included limited instructional time and students’ lack of self-confidence at the beginning of the learning process. This study concludes that the role-playing learning model supported by mini-drama media is effective in enhancing students’ understanding of zakat al-fitr material. The implication of this research highlights the importance of teachers being more creative in selecting innovative learning models. Furthermore, future researchers are recommended to examine the effectiveness of this model in other fiqh learning topics.

Abstract

Al-Qur'an adalah petunjuk yang diberikan kepada Nabi Muhammad SAW untuk menjadi panduan atau petunjuk bagi umat Islam dalam menjalani kehidupan.. Selain berperan sebagai petunjuk, Al-Qur’an memiliki keistimewaan karena dapat dihafal secara rinci oleh manusia, baik dari segi lafaz, susunan kata, maupun tanda baca. Namun, bukanlah perihal yang mudah dalam proses menghafalkan al-Quran, khususnya bagi siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Terutama dalam mempertahankan ingatan agar selalu kuat dan tidak cepat hilang.. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya metode pembelajaran yang efektif, seperti metode ziyadah dan muroja’ah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan integrasi metode muraja'ah dan ziyadah dalam meningkatkan kualitas hafalan Al-Qur’an Juz 30 di MI Raisul Anwar. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus. Adapun Subjek penelitian ini yaitu meliputi guru dan orang tua siswa, sedangkan objek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas I hingga VI yang berjumlah 165 siswa dengan 17 tenaga pengajar. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memahami implementasi penggabungan metode murojaah dan ziyadah dalam memperbaiki mutu kualitas hafalan Al-Qur’an Juz 30 di MI Raisul Anwar. penelitian ini membuahkan hasil bahwa integrasi metode muroja’ah dan ziyadah diyatakan efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas hafalan siswa. Metode muroja’ah berfungsi untuk memperkuat dan menjaga hafalan yang telah dimiliki, sedangkan metode ziadah digunakan untuk menambah hafalan baru secara bertahap dan sistematis.

Abstract

. In the context of education in the digital era, the presence of learning media such as digital flipbooks is an important strategy to increase student motivation and learning engagement. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of using interactive digital flipbooks in increasing student motivation and engagement in the learning process. The use of this media is seen as able to bridge the gap between the needs of students who are familiar with technology and conventional learning methods that tend to be less engaging. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method on high school students who have used digital flipbooks in learning activities. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and analysis of learning documents. Data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns of flipbook use, student responses to the media, and their impact on aspects of motivation and learning engagement. The results showed that the use of interactive digital flipbooks had a positive Influence on increasing learning interest, active student involvement during learning, and a deeper understanding of the Material. Attractive visualizations, interactive features, and ease of access made students more enthusiastic about participating in learning. However, challenges were still found in the form of limited device access and teachers’ abilities in designing flipbooks that suit students’ needs. Therefore, ongoing training and technical support are needed to optimize the use of this media. This Research provides a practical contribution to the development of digital learning media that is relevant to the characteristics of today’s generation of learners and supports participatory, innovative, and meaningful learning

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology in the digital era has brought significant transformations in the field of education, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. This study aims to describe the use of digital Qur’an applications as an innovation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and identify its impact on students' motivation and understanding of the Qur’an. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and students at a secondary school in Situbondo. The findings indicate that the use of digital Qur’an applications, such as Qur'an Kemenag and Muslim Pro, facilitates students in reading, listening, and understanding the meaning of Qur’anic verses interactively. Teachers also utilize digital interpretation and audio recitation features to enhance contextual and engaging learning experiences. However, challenges such as limited digital literacy and inadequate access to technological devices still hinder optimal implementation. This study concludes that the integration of digital Qur’an applications into PAI learning effectively supports the achievement of Islamic education goals, especially in strengthening students' spirituality, Qur’anic literacy, and moral character. It is recommended that digital literacy training be provided to Islamic Education teachers so that technology-based learning management can be more effective and sustainable.

Abstract

Learning motivation is a fundamental factor that influences student engagement in the learning process, especially at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level . In practice, thematic learning in the classroom still often shows a low level of student participation due to the use of monotonous methods and lack of providing meaningful learning experiences. This study aims to analyze how the integration of traditional games and digital learning media can strengthen student learning motivation in thematic learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah , with the research context at MI Darullughah Wal Karomah (MI DWK), Indonesia. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Observations were conducted to observe learning activities and student engagement in the classroom, while interviews were conducted with teachers and students to gain an in-depth understanding of the learning experience. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and interpretation of research findings. The results of the study indicate that the integration of traditional games and digital learning media in MI DWK is able to create a more interactive and participatory learning atmosphere . Students showed increased engagement through discussion activities, group work, and participation in games integrated in thematic learning. Digital media also strengthens students' conceptual understanding through more visual and engaging presentation of material, thus contributing to increased learning motivation.

Abstract

Abstract: The development of social media as a digital educational space has given rise to the phenomenon of the hidden curriculum in Islamic Religious Education (IRE), where Islamic values are acquired not only through formal learning but also through interactions and digital educational content consumed by students at Ma’had Aly Nurul Jadid. This study aims to analyze the forms of the PAI hidden curriculum on social media, as well as to identify the Islamic values contained in digital educational content and their influence on the learning patterns of students. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation involving faculty members, musrif/musrifah, and students as research informants. The findings indicate that social media contributes to enhancing students’ active engagement in learning, strengthening information literacy skills, and fostering a shift in the learning paradigm from passive to active and collaborative. Furthermore, the hidden curriculum formed through social media also plays a role in the internalization of Islamic values such as responsibility, independence, critical thinking, and digital ethics. Thus, social media can serve as a strategic tool in the development of digital-based Islamic Education (PAI) that is relevant to educational needs in the modern era. Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are a place for students and a place to educate students so they can live independently with the guidance of applied religious teachings. Islamic boarding schools are currently tarnished because of the increasing cases of bullying, but this incident will never reduce the enthusiasm of the caregivers and Islamic boarding school administrators to overcome the problems that occur in Islamic boarding schools. The aim of this research is to determine the strategies of foster carers in dealing with bullying of students in Islamic boarding schools. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. The place of this research is at the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School, especially the Az-Zainiyah Region, Village. Karanganyar, District. Paiton, Kab. Probolinggo. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques are used by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions and verification. The research results show that several foster carer strategies that can be applied in overcoming bullying against students include: Interpersonal Communication, Modeling, and seminars. Having a foster care strategy implemented can help reduce students from doing as they please which can lead to bullying behavior, and can help Islamic boarding schools, especially the Az-Zainiyah region, to be environmentally friendly and caring. Foster carers play a very important role in overcoming bullying against students, so that bullying behavior does not continue to become a tradition.

Abstract

Novice teachers frequently encounter various challenges in carrying out their professional responsibilities, particularly in lesson planning, classroom management, learning assessment, and adaptation to the school environment. This study aimed to develop a mentoring model to enhance the performance of novice teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Banyuglugur. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach involving nine participants, consisting of one principal, three senior teachers serving as mentors, and five novice teachers as mentees. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation and were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion-drawing techniques. The findings revealed that novice teachers require systematic professional support in designing instructional materials, managing classrooms, conducting learning assessments, and strengthening self-confidence and professionalism. Based on the needs analysis, a cyclical mentoring model was developed comprising four stages: planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. The implementation of the model demonstrated improvements in novice teachers’ engagement in instructional activities, classroom management skills, use of diverse teaching strategies, and openness to feedback and reflective practices. These findings indicate that the developed mentoring model effectively supports the professional development and sustained performance improvement of novice teachers.
