Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang sejarah penulisan, kodifikasi dan klasifikasi kitab-kitab hadis. Dalam artikel ini terdapat beberapa topik penting yang akan menjadi fokus bahasan yaitu, peristilahan terkait dengan penulisan, kodifikasi dan klasifikasi hadis, perbedaan pandangan yang terjadi dikalangan ulama dan juga tinjauan historis terkait dengan kitab-kitab hadis. Oleh karena itu maka perlu kiranya menjelaskan hal-hal tersebut agar tidak menimbulkan kekeliruan dalam memahami sejarah perkembangan kitab-kitab hadis. Pengkajian masalah ini dilakukan dengan cara melakukan kajian pustaka dengan pendekatan kebahasaan dan pendekataan sosio-historis yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peristilahan terkait dengan sejarah kitab-kitab hadis, perbedaan pandangan dikalangan ulama hadis dan tinjauan historisnya. Maka kesimpulannya bahwa proses lahirnya kitab-kitab hadis melalui tiga proses, yaitu; kitabat al-hadis, tadwin dan tasnif. Walaupun dalam proses tersebut terjadi perbedaan dikalangan ulama hadis. Adapun terkait dengan tinjauan historis kitab-kitab hadis, berkembang dari masa ke masa yang dapat ditinjau dari berbagai aspek sejarah penghimpunan hadis, kondisi perawi hadis, kriteria hadis yang dihimpun, sistematika penyusunan kitab dan berdasar pada segi kuantitas hadis.

Abstract

Matn criticism in the tradition of Hadith studies is commonly conducted through the assessment of linguistic aspects, rationality, and its relevance to the general principles of Islamic teachings. Such approaches are often interpretative in nature and have not yet formed a systematic analytical framework because they are not based on the entirety of available transmission data. This study aims to propose a methodological reconstruction of matn criticism by employing the analysis of variations in transmission as a new model for examining the validity of Hadith texts. The research is conducted through a literature review of classical and modern references, followed by methodological formulation through stages that include collecting transmission variants, mapping textual differences, examining the context of transmission, and drawing conclusions based on textual consistency. Through this approach, matn examination is carried out comparatively, enabling potential semantic anomalies to be identified more objectively through data comparison rather than solely through theoretical interpretation. The findings indicate that the analysis of transmission variations offers three significant contributions: first, reducing the dominance of subjectivity in matn criticism; second, assisting in the identification of narrations that have undergone textual modification or addition; and third, strengthening semantic evaluation through inter-textual evidence across narrations.

Abstract

This paper discussed hadith related to the existence of the heart with main topics 1) the quality of the hadith and 2) content. The results of this study indicate that the existence of heart hadith based on the transmission consists of 16 lines (sanad) which are spread in the book of 9 imams (al-kutub al-tis'ah) and narrated in meaning. In addition, 1) the existence of heart hadith has good quality, both in terms of the sanad and matan, and 2) the hadith shows the existence of the heart as a treasury of abstract issues, such as; beliefs, feelings, disbelief, and others. In addition, the liver is an organ that plays a role in giving a command to all body organs to move. This paper is expected to understand the broader community that the heart has a vital role in the excellent condition of the body and human actions, especially to achieve the best level as human beings mentioned in QS al-Hujurat(49:13).
