Abstract

This study aimed to determine the reduction in high school students' misconceptions on heat after applying a collaborative e-learning-based learning model. The research design is an experimental study using a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The data collection technique is quantitative, conducted through written tests (pre-test and post-test) given to both classes. The written test is accompanied by a confidence scale (0-5). If a student's answer (S) and confidence scale are high, then the student is classified as experiencing a misconception. The pre-test serves as the initial identification of student misconceptions, while the post-test serves as the final identification of student misconceptions. Then the data is represented in a bar diagram. After obtaining quantitative data, it is then analyzed descriptively. The research findings shows that the reduction in misconceptions for Class A was 12.50%, and was 13.33% for Class B. The existence of students identified as having resistant misconceptions contributes to an average percentage of misunderstanding reduction below 50%. However, implementing the collaborative e-learning-based learning model has shown to be effective in reducing misconceptions. The resistant misconceptions occurred due to the students' learning styles or the time required for students to construct concepts taking a considerable amount of time.

Abstract

The central research problem addresses how literature functions as both a medium for character education and social criticism, specifically investigating what moral education values are embedded in the novel and how various forms of social injustice are portrayed through character interactions and social contexts. This study aims to analyze the moral education values and forms of social injustice depicted in Tere Liye’s novel Teruslah Bodoh Jangan Pintar through a literary sociology approach. This research employs qualitative descriptive methods with reading and note-taking techniques for data collection. The results show that the novel contains various moral education values, including creativity, justice, hard work, responsibility, honesty, and empathy with social care. Additionally, the novel depicts eight forms of social injustice: economic inequality, gender discrimination, social class oppression, educational injustice, racial-ethnic-religious discrimination, legal injustice, labor exploitation, and structural-cultural violence. Through Faruk’s sociology of literature theory, this novel serves not only as fiction but also as a medium for social criticism and character education that reflects Indonesian social reality. The implications demonstrate that literature serves as an effective medium for moral education and social awareness, with this novel functioning not only as entertainment but also as a catalyst for critical consciousness about systemic social problems. The balanced distribution of both moral values and forms of social injustice indicates the author’s intentional effort to provide comprehensive social commentary while promoting character development, making this work valuable for educational purposes and social transformation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan representasi alam, representasi perilaku manusia terhadap lingkungannya, serta interaksi tokoh utama terhadap lingkungannya dalam novel SampahOdiOLaut, Meira karya Mawan Belgia. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitattif dengan data yang berupa representasi alam, bentuk prilaku manusia, serta lingkungannya. Adapun untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian, peneliti menggunakan teknik simak dan catat dengan instrument lembar korpus data. Data tersebut kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analsisis data kualitatif kualitatif Miles dan Huberman dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penyimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa (1) representasi alam dalam novel tersebut berupa laut, sungai, dan pantai, (2) representasi perilaku manusia terhadap lingkungannya membuang sampah sembarangan dan membakar sampah, dan (3) interaksi tokoh utama yaitu Cola/ botol plastik terhadap lingkungannya daun kering yang sengaja mengumpat Cola, persahabatan Cola dengan Aladin, dan rasa sakit Cola ketika dirundung anak-anak angin. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat kritikan pemeliharaan alam laut terhadap pembaca berupa representasi alam dan prilaku manusia yang melakukan perusakan laut serta disertai dengan akibat yang ditimbulkan perusakan tersebut melalui tokoh utama yang benama Cola atau botol plastik.Abstract The following research aims to describe the representation of nature, the representation of the form of human behavior, and the representation of the main character's interaction in a novel entitled Garbage in The Sea, Meira by Mawan Belgia. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Collaborative E-learning-Based Learning (KABEL) to remedy student misconceptions for heat in high schools in East Java during merdeka belajar. The study used a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pre-test post-test design. The study includes a sample of 290 10th-grade students who were randomly chosen from different high schools in East Java. The data collection instrument consists of 20 multiple-choice questions, each with 3 alternative answers and open-ended reasons. The average percentage of student misconceptions was 94.67% before and 39.33% after remediation. The Mc Nemar test showed a significant improvement in student conceptual understanding after remediation, as evidenced by a chi-square value (X2) of 11.16, which exceeded the critical chi-square value (X2table) of 3.84 for a degree of freedom (df) of 1 and a significance level (α) of 5%. The obtained proportion value of 0.56 shows a moderate effectiveness of the direct instruction model with animation media in addressing student misconceptions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: a) makna denotasi ekologis puisi Indonesia; b) makna konotasi ekologis puisi Indonesia; c) makna mitos lingkungan puisi Indonesia, d) makna interaktivitas teks-alam puisi Indonesia, e) makna ekologi multilapis puisi Indonesia; dan respons pembaca. Teori payung yang digunakan semioekokritik. Penelitian ini berpendekatan fenomenologi dalam penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data didasarkan pada pembacaan secara kritis, pengkodean (baca: coding), dan interpretasi. Data penelitian berupa kata, frase, kalimat, dan wacana puisi Indonesia yang bertema lingkungan alam. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan semiotika Riffaterre, melalui langkah-langkah: pembacaan secara heuristik dan pembacaan secara hermeneutika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  (1) Puisi-puisi Indonesia yang dijadikan sumber data mengandung makna denotasi-ekologis pohon, bunga, rumput, ilalang, tumbuh-tumbuhan, burung, cengkerik, semut, orang tua, kota, dan kereta, (2) Puisi-puisi Indonesia mengandung makna konotasi-ekologis perasaan yang memiliki daya pikat tetapi rentan terhadap kerusakan, (3) Puisi-puisi Indonesia mengandung makna mitos-ekologis kondisi fisik pohon sebagai simbol keterikatan pada masa lalu dan sejarah, (4) Puisi-puisi Indonesia mengandung makna interaktivitas teks-alam puisi Indonesia dengan pembaca atau ajakan si aku lirik kepada pembaca untuk berdialog dengan alam.
