Abstract

Nutritional status describes an individual's health condition based on their Body Mass Index (BMI), which is categorized into levels such as severely underweight, mildly underweight, normal, mildly overweight, and severely overweight. Factors influencing nutritional status include eating habits and social media exposure. Eating habits refer to the regular practices or patterns adopted by an individual to fulfill physiological, social, and emotional needs through the consumption of necessary food for adequate nutritional intake. Meanwhile, prolonged exposure to social media can lead to an individual frequently encountering recommended posts, including food-related content, thereby increasing the desire to try those foods. Currently, in Indonesia, some platforms that provide online food delivery services are GoFood, GrabFood, and Shopee Food. The general aim of this study is to determine the relationship between online food purchasing and eating habits with the nutritional status of college students living in boarding houses in Bandar Lampung city. The research method used in this study is quantitative, employing a cross-sectional approach. Data collection was conducted using a microtoise to measure height, a stepping scale to measure weight, a modified SQ-FFQ form to assess eating habits, and a questionnaire to evaluate online food purchasing behavior. The chi-square test results indicate a p-value of 0.187, demonstrating no significant relationship between eating habits and the nutritional status of college students living in boarding houses in Bandar Lampung. In contrast, the chi-square test results indicate a p-value of 0.004, showing a significant relationship between online food purchasing and the nutritional status of these students. College students are advised to be more cautious when choosing foods, considering health factors and avoiding the influence of images or videos of food that might affect eating behaviors.

Abstract

Remaja Adalah populasi dengan periode usia 10-19 tahun. Kebiasaan konsumsi minuman manis menjadi salah satu penyebab kejadian obesitas dan aktivitas fisik merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kejadian obesitas.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan kebiasaan konsumsi minuman manis dan aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian obesitas pada remaja di SMP Muhammadiyah3 Bandar Lampung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik non- probablity yang didapatkan 65 sampel responden.Pengumpulan data konsumsi minuman manis menggunakan Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) dan aktivitas fisik menggunakan international Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) dan pengukuran kejadian obesitas menggunakan timbangan digital untuk berat badan dan tinggi badan menggunakan microtoice.analisis data bivariat yang dilakukan menggunakan uji man whitney menggunakan SPSS 25 for windows . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan kebiasaan konsumsi minuman manis dengan kejadian obesitas pada remaja SMP muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung (p = 0,678) dan tidak adanya perbedaan aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian obesitas (p = 0,510)

Abstract

 Nutrition is one of the aspects that affects the growth and development of children. Nutritional status is an important health indicator, and vulnerable groups facing nutritional issues include children under five years old. Signs of developmental disorders include slow maturation of nerve cells, delayed motor skills, decreased intelligence, sluggish social reactions, and difficulties in speaking, language, and independence. Nutritional problems in children according to weight-for-age (BB/U) include undernutrition, short stature (TB/U), and underweight (BB/TB). The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between nutritional status and the development of children aged 4-5 years at Aisyiyah Bustanul Atfal 2 Kindergarten. The subjects of this study are all children aged 4-5 years enrolled at Aisyiyah Bustanul Atfal 2 Kindergarten in Labuhan Ratu Baru Way, Jepara District, totaling 54 children. This study uses total sampling technique. The methodology employed is quantitative research with a cross-sectional design, and data collection was conducted using a microtoise to assess height, a digital scale to measure weight, and the KPSP questionnaire to evaluate nutritional status in relation to child development. The study findings indicate a significant relationship between nutritional status according to weight-for-age (BB/U) and child development (p=0.000) with a strong negative correlation (r= -0.748). There is a significant correlation between nutritional status according to height-for-weight (BB/TB) and child development (p=0.000) with a strong positive correlation (r=0.610). There is also a significant relationship regarding the correlation between nutritional status according to height-for-age (TB/U) and child development (p=0.025) with a weak positive correlation (r=0.304). It is advisable to provide education and early detection of developmental issues in toddlers experiencing nutritional disorders.

Abstract

WHO (2018) reported a significant increase in the prevalence of overweight among children and adolescents aged 5-19, rising from just 4% in 1975 to over 18% in 2016. This increase was observed in both genders, with 18% in females and 19% in males. The Lampung Health Survey (Riskesdas Lampung) in 2018 reported that the prevalence of nutritional status (BMI/U) among adolescents aged 13-15 in Lampung Province showed 8.84% were very underweight, 79.28% were normal, and 11.9% were overweight and obese. For the age group of 16-18 years, 7.5% were very underweight and underweight, 80.9% were normal, and 11.6% were overweight and obese. In Bandar Lampung, the prevalence rate reached 14.8%, higher than the provincial average. Adolescence, which generally spans the ages of 10 to 19, is a critical transition period from childhood to adulthood, characterized by biological changes including growth in height and weight, and sexual maturation. The general objective of this study was to determine the correlation between macro nutrient consumption, sleep quality, and physical activity with the nutritional status of adolescents at SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung. This study employed an observational analytic method with a Cross-Sectional approach. The study population included all adolescents in grade VIII at SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung, totaling 101 samples. The sampling technique used was Simple Random Sampling. Data on macro nutrient consumption were obtained using a 2x24 hour food recall questionnaire. Sleep quality data were collected using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire. Physical activity data were gathered using a physical activity questionnaire. Body weight was measured using a digital scale, and height was measured using a microtoise. Data analysis was conducted using the chi-square test. The study findings indicated a correlation between macro nutrient consumption and nutritional status (p = 0.000), a correlation between sleep quality and nutritional status (p = 0.000), and a correlation between physical activity and nutritional status (p = 0.000). It is hoped that adolescents can regulate their physical activity patterns, dietary patterns, and sleep patterns to prevent changes in nutritional status, whether undernutrition or overnutrition.

Abstract

Remaja adalah masa antara masa kanak-kanak dan masa dewasa. Pada tahap ini, orang mengalami perubahan yang sangat cepat, yang mencakup perubahan fisik, kognitif dan psikososial. Akibatnya, mereka membutuhkan lebih banyak nutrisi. Remaja memerlukan perhatian khusus pada status gizi mereka karena mereka masih dalam fase pertumbuhan dan pembentukan diri, yang dapat memengaruhi kondisi gizi mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk diketahui hubungan kebiasaan konsumsi makanan cepat saji dan tingkat aktivitas fisik dengan status gizi (RLPP) pada remaja di SMAN 12 Bandar Lampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional serta pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan tape measure untuk mengukur lingkar pinggang dan lingkar panggul, formulir SQ-FFQ modifikasi untuk mengukur kebiasaan konsumsi makanan cepat saji dan kuisioner IPAQ untuk mengukur tingkat aktivitas fisik. Berdasarkan Hasil Uji Spearman rho yang menunjukkan nilai p=0,001 dan nilai r (correlation coefficient) senilai 0,236 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya hubungan lemah dengan arah positif antara kebiasaan konsumsi makanan cepat saji dengan status gizi (RLPP) yang menandakan semakin meningkat konsumsi makanan cepat saji (frekuensi makan) maka status gizi (RLPP) akan meningkat yang menyatakan berisiko obesitas. Berdasarkan Hasil Uji Spearman rho yang menunjukkan nilai p=0,016 dan nilai r (correlation coefficient) senilai -0,315 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya hubungan lemah dengan arah negatif antara tingkat aktivitas fisik dengan status gizi (RLPP) yang menandakan semakin meningkat tingkat aktivitas fisik (frekuensi aktivitas) maka status gizi (RLPP) akan menurun yang menyatakan tidak berisiko obesitas. Remaja sebaiknya menghindari makanan cepat saji yang kaya kalori dan gula, dan lebih memilih makanan bergizi seperti buah, sayur, dan protein sehat. Aktivitas fisik juga penting; lakukan olahraga minimal 150 menit per minggu untuk membakar kalori dan menjaga kesehatan
