Abstract

This research evaluates the Cove residential rental application using the Honeycomb UX model to improve user experience. Cove provides a residential rental service application in the form of boarding houses. Although the Cove app is available on various platforms, user ratings show some shortcomings. Through a literature review and UX assessment with 15 respondents, this study identified problems in seven important aspects of UX: useful, usable, findable, credible, accessible, desirable, and valuable. After design improvements that included the direct booking feature, user account system, property recommendation, chatbot feature, property rating system, and price transparency, the evaluation results showed a significant increase in user satisfaction, with the average UX score increasing from 3.63 to 4.56. These findings confirm that design improvements based on Honeycomb's UX model can improve overall user satisfaction and experience.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dasar terhadap meningkatnya kebutuhan akan pengetahuan tentang perangkat keras komputer di Pesantren Modern Al-Bayyinah. Perangkat keras komputer merujuk pada komponen fisik yang membentuk sistem komputer dan memungkinkannya berfungsi. Melalui program ini, siswa diperkenalkan pada konsep hardware dan cara penggunaannya yang aman. Harapannya, kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa tentang dasar-dasar perangkat keras komputer, memungkinkan mereka untuk mengoptimalkan teknologi di era digital ini secara efektif.

Abstract

Saat ini dengan populernya aplikasi berbasis web membawa dampak negatif berupa maraknya serangan dan kerentanan pada aplikasi berbasis web. Pembangunan aplikasi dengan pendekatan yang tepat dan identifikasi ancaman dapat meningkatkan keamanan aplikasi yang dibuat. Pada penelitian ini akan dibangun sistem informasi yaitu Surat Izin Online berbasis web yang dibangun menggunakan metode Web Development Lifecycle (WDLC) dengan menambahkan threat modeling dengan metode Attack Tree pada tahap analysis dan mitigasinya pada tahap development. Aplikasi kemudian diuji dengan menggunakan OWASP ZAP untuk mengetahui kerentanan pada aplikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dengan menerapkan metode WDLC dan threat modeling aplikasi yang dibangun bisa mengatasi ancaman yang sebelumnya sudah dijabarkan.

Abstract

Sistem informasi akademik yang dikembangkan dirancang untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dalam mahasiswa melalui integrasi data yang lebih baik dan akses yang lebih aman. Pengembangan modul dilakukan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Go, serta implementasi API RESTful untuk mendukung pertukaran data yang efisien. Teknik obfuskasi diterapkan sebagai langkah pengamanan tambahan untuk melindungi source code dari potensi eksploitasi dan serangan siber. Pengembangan sistem ini mengikuti pedoman OWASP Go Secure Coding, sehingga memastikan standar keamanan yang tinggi diterapkan di seluruh tahap pengembangan. Pengujian fungsionalitas dan keamanan dilakukan menggunakan perangkat seperti Postman untuk menjamin sistem beroperasi sesuai dengan yang diharapkan dan memiliki ketahanan terhadap ancaman keamanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul pengasuhan berhasil dikembangkan dengan 45 endpoint fungsional. API backend yang diimplementasikan memenuhi kebutuhan unit teknologi informasi melalui pendekatan web service RESTful, dengan operasi inti seperti CRUD berjalan secara optimal. Selain itu, fitur keamanan yang diimplementasikan selaras dengan panduan OWASP Go Secure Coding Practice, sementara teknik obfuskasi terbukti efektif, menjaga fungsionalitas sistem meskipun kode telah diobfusikasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi kualitas dan kegunaan aplikasi e-commerce Matahari Mall dengan menggunakan metode Usability Testing yang dilatarbelakangi oleh rating aplikasi yang cukup rendah yaitu 3,6 bintang. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami kebutuhan dan pengalaman pengguna, serta mengidentifikasi masalah dalam antarmuka aplikasi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi System Usability Scale (SUS) dan Think Aloud, di mana pengguna diminta untuk menjalankan tugas tertentu dan mengisi kuesioner mengenai pengalaman mereka. Data dari ulasan pengguna di Google Play Store juga dianalisis untuk mendukung pengujian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa area di mana aplikasi memerlukan perbaikan untuk meningkatkan kemudahan penggunaan, efisiensi, dan kepuasan pengguna. Berdasarkan temuan ini, rekomendasi perbaikan disusun untuk meningkatkan kualitas aplikasi Matahari Mall secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

PT. Cahaya Hidup Indonesia is a private company specializing in the production of bicycle spare parts and supporting components. Currently, the quality check (QC) process in the company is still carried out manually using paper-based methods. This approach requires significant time and a high level of precision, increasing the risk of human error. Based on these challenges, a solution is needed in the form of an internal website application to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability in the QC process. The application is designed using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology with an Agile model. The system development employs a structured programming and analysis approach to facilitate the process. The technologies used include HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the user interface development, and PHP along with MySQL for database management. The system is capable of recording and storing QC results data and generating statistical reports indicating whether the inspection outcomes are categorized as Not Good or OK. System testing is conducted using the Black Box Testing method to ensure all system functions operate as intended, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to gather user feedback regarding the system's usability and practicality. This application is expected to streamline the QC process, making it faster, more accurate, and more efficient while minimizing the risk of human error. Furthermore, the system aims to help the company improve productivity and the quality of services provided.

Abstract

Politeknik Siber dan Sandi Negara (Poltek SSN) currently does not have an adequate system for managing research proposals. As a university, it must fulfill the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, one of them is research. Therefore, it is necessary to build a proposal for a management information system. Several previous studies have shown that research information systems can be built with several web frameworks. The approach of utilizing web scraping technology can integrate Google Scholar research data into the information system and recommendation services for accompanying lecturers using the Text Similarity Metric method to provide relevant results. In this study, an integrated research information system application will be built with Google Scholar, implementing the Text Similarity Metric method for the recommendation system for accompanying lecturers, and using the CodeIgniter 4 framework. The integration of the system with this lecturer recommendation service will be tested through monitoring lecturer satisfaction related to the research services provided by the system developed. The results obtained in this study are a research system that works in accordance with the business processes at Poltek SSN with the highest accuracy score on the cosine similarity algorithm of 92,95% and user satisfaction test results of 97,76%.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, almost all educational institutions in Indonesia are implementing Distance Learning (PJJ). Like learning in general, in each semester an exam will be held, be it the Midterm Exam or the End of Semester Exam, and of course the exam takes place remotely. This has caused concerns from teachers to their students about the method of distributing exam questions and sending exam answer sheets. In other words, it is difficult for teachers to ensure the safety of the distribution of questions, as well as to carry out endorsements and verifications on the exam answer sheets collected by their students. In this study, the authors built a public key infrastructure implemented in a web-based online exam system with an approach to encryption and digital signatures. Encryption and digital signatures are two commonly used primitive cryptography that can provide security services, such as confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of messages. It is hoped that with this research, we can find out the implementation of public key infrastructure in the web-based online examination system.

Abstract

In the digital era, the quality of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) significantly influences User Experience (UX) across various applications. Developers are increasingly exploring innovative solutions such as Speech-to-Text (STT) technology(3), which allows users to interact with applications using natural language. This offers a more intuitive and efficient communication method compared to traditional input methods like typing or clicking. This integration promises to revolutionize HCI by enhancing accessibility, productivity, and user satisfaction across various application domains(1). However, implementing STT in web-based application interfaces requires further exploration due to the widespread presence and accessibility of web applications, which serve as crucial mediums for digital interactions including e-commerce, social networking, productivity tools, and entertainment platforms. This paper explores the integration of STT technology in web application interfaces, including Voxpow.com and Google Assistant, focusing on its impact on usability, user engagement, and overall HCI efficiency. By analyzing user interactions with web applications featuring STT capabilities, we aim to identify specific advantages and challenges associated with this technology. Through empirical research and user testing, we provide insights that inform future web interface design and development, ultimately enhancing user experience and driving innovation in HCI practices(2).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang user experience (UX) aplikasi layanan darurat bagi pengendara sepeda motor menggunakan metode Design Thinking. Metode ini terdiri dari lima tahapan: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan testing. Tahap empathize melibatkan wawancara dengan pengendara kendaraan bermotor untuk memahami masalah utama mereka. Tahap define menghasilkan persona pengguna dan empathy map untuk memperjelas kebutuhan dan masalah pengguna. Pada tahap ideate, berbagai ide dikembangkan untuk pembuatan prototipe UX aplikasi. Prototipe diuji untuk mendapatkan umpan balik dari pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Design Thinking efektif dalam merancang UX aplikasi yang memenuhi kebutuhan pengendara sepeda motor, menyediakan layanan darurat seperti tambal ban, pom bensin, bengkel, towing, derek, dan konsultasi kesehatan.
