Abstract

Along with the advancement of technology, educational media is experiencing progress. Traditional learning methods are shifting and being replaced by technology-based learning. One crucial aspect of technological advancement is the ability to comprehend written text. The lack of interest in reading can have adverse effects, such as being susceptible to fake news without clear sources. The reading interest in Indonesia is notably low. According to data from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), Indonesia ranks 74th out of 79 countries in terms of reading literacy skills. The development of a literacy reading website can be a solution to address this issue, particularly in enhancing an individual's reading interest and skills. In this research, the development of the literacy reading website employs the Extreme Programming development method as it considered highly effective in meeting project requirements that demand swift execution and quick adaptation to change. The objective of this study is to create a literacy reading website with a narrative and e-learning concept, featuring literacy readings and quizzes to support the improvement of reading skills. The results indicate that the literacy reading website functions well and can be effectively utilized in the reading skills training process, validated through functional testing using the black-box testing method with 100% results.

Abstract

Bawen District is one of the sub-districts in Semarang Regency, Central Java. This region has an area of land used for agriculture around 63.29%. In this area the population still uses soil as a planting medium. Soil is one of the planting media which plays an important role for the survival of plants. With so many types of soil that have different properties and characteristics, the treatment of these soils is also different. So it is necessary to have a soil classification to know how to manage the soil properly. To facilitate the classification of soil types, Deep Learning technology can be utilized with images as input which are then processed using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm. In order to get a model that has a high level of accuracy, an experiment was carried out on several influential parameters and an evaluation of the model was carried out using a confusion matrix. The confusion matrix has several values such as accuracy, precision, recall, and f1-score. Tests have been carried out and the results of this study are models that have a training accuracy of 97% with a loss value of 0.0880 and a testing accuracy of 95% with a loss value of 0.1513.

Abstract

PT Jasa Raharja (Pesero) merupakan perusahaan asuransi BUMN di Indonesia yang bertugas untuk dapat memberikan layanan santunan dan perlindungan sosial bagi masyarakat khususnya untuk korban kecelakaan lalu lintas yang terjadi di Indonesia. Berdampingan dengan PT Jasa Raharja bekerja, PT ARU Raharja didirikan dengan tujuan untuk dapat membantu pekerjaan keseharian non-formal pegawai Jasa Raharja. Pegawai ARU Raharja terdiri dari satpam, sopir, dan juru layan. Pada kantor cabang PT Jasa Raharja Jawa Tengah, pegawai ARU tidak memiliki sistem pencatatan absensi dan kegiatan yang berbasiskan teknologi. Penilaian kinerja pegawai ARU masih sulit dikarenakan pencatatan masih mengandalkan pencatatan secara manual. Melalui penelitian ini dikembangkan aplikasi yang akan digunakan oleh pegawai ARU di kantor cabang PT Jasa Raharja Jawa Tengah untuk dapat melakukan pencatatan absensi dan kegiatan saat bekerja. Aplikasi akan mengimplementasikan QR Code dan GeoFencing sebagai teknik pembatasan wilayah akses aplikasi. Diajukan metode pengembangan aplikasi berupa Rapid Application Development (RAD) yang dapat membantu pengembangan aplikasi dengan perencanaan awal yang minim dan waktu pengerjaan yang singkat. Analisis dan perancangan menggunakan metode berorientasi objek dengan menggunakan diagram use case dan diagram aktivitas. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian black box didapatkan bahwa fungsionalitas aplikasi sudah sesuai. Sedangkan dari hasil pengujian white box menggunakan basis path testing sudah berjalan dengan baik dan sesuai.

Abstract

This study aims to highlight and compare the performance of three deep learning architectures, namely CNN, VGG16, and EfficientNet-B1, in classifying cataract conditions based on retinal fundus images. A total of 2600 fundus images of two classes (normal and cataract) were collected from open sources and processed in two versions: the original images and contrast-enhanced images using Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE). Each model was tested using both versions of the dataset, with evaluation based on accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score. The results of this experiment show that the application of CLAHE is proven to improve the accuracy of CNN from 0.89 (89%) to 0.97 (97%) and, importantly for clinical diagnosis, improve the recall for cataract class from 0.81 (81%) to 0.97 (97%) with precision 0.98 (98%), f1 score 0.97 (97%) and reduce the number of False Negatives (FN) from 9 to 6. Similarly, it improves the accuracy of VGG16 from 0.93 (93%) (with precision 0.91 (91%), recall 0.96 (96%), f1 score 0.94 (94%)) to 0.96 (96%) (precision 0.94 (94%), recall 0.98 (98%), f1 score 0.96 (96%), and also reduces the number of FN from 9 to 6, thereby improving clinical reliability. In contrast to the EfficientNet-B1 Model, CLAHE does not provide significant improvement. significant. significant, with an accuracy of 0.97 (97%), precision of 0.98 (98%), recall of 0.98 (98%), and f1 score of 0.97 (97%), the accuracy performance actually decreased to 0.96 (96%) and precision to 0.94 (94%). This shows that the effectiveness of preprocessing techniques is highly dependent on the model architecture used. CLAHE has been shown to be effective on conventional models such as CNN and VGG16, but is less optimal for complex pretrained models such as EfficientNet-B1. These findings contribute to the development of adaptive and efficient medical image classification systems, particularly in the context of automated cataract screening in primary healthcare.

Abstract

Program Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) merupakan upaya penting dalam mendorong penerapan pola hidup sehat guna menjaga, merawat, serta meningkatkan derajat kesehatan. Penerapan gaya hidup sehat dapat mencegah berbagai penyakit yang berpotensi muncul di masyarakat. PHBS sangat tepat dikenalkan sejak usia sekolah, karena anak-anak termasuk kelompok yang rentan terhadap gangguan kesehatan akibat berbagai faktor. Perkembangan teknologi dalam bidang pendidikan telah terbukti mampu mengubah proses interaksi dan pembelajaran di kelas menjadi lebih efektif, efisien, mudah diakses, serta mendukung pengembangan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan di era digital, baik saat ini maupun di masa mendatang. Pemanfaatan aplikasi digital sebagai hasil perkembangan teknologi telah banyak diterapkan di bidang kesehatan dan pendidikan, yang keduanya saling berkaitan dan mendukung satu sama lain. Penyampaian informasi kesehatan membutuhkan peran pendidikan, sementara proses pendidikan juga tidak dapat berjalan optimal tanpa lingkungan yang sehat. Oleh karena itu, keberadaan teknologi dalam kedua bidang tersebut menjadi sangat krusial. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut, diperlukan pemberian pengetahuan mengenai PHBS kepada para siswa. Selain pemahaman secara teori, santri juga perlu mendapatkan pendampingan dalam penerapan PHBS secara langsung, serta dukungan teknologi berupa aplikasi digital agar proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan efektif. Sebelum penerapan aplikasi tersebut, diperlukan sosialisasi dan pelatihan bagi pengasuh pondok pesantren terkait penggunaannya. Atas dasar pertimbangan tersebut, tim berinisiatif melaksanakan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dengan tema Pendampingan PHBS pada Siswa melalui Sosialisasi Aplikasi Digital yang berlokasi di SMP Ibu Kartini. Kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu membentuk kebiasaan PHBS dalam kehidupan sehari-hari santri serta mendorong mereka untuk menularkan perilaku positif tersebut kepada lingkungan sekitarnya.
