Abstract

This study aims to determine the trend of elementary/MI science learning in the post-COVID- 19 pandemic era. The research used a survey design. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. All instruments were tested for content validity and construct validity. Data triangulation was done by comparing and checking data obtained from information from parties who played a role in the research. After that, data analysis was carried out. Data analysis techniques used qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The study concluded that the post-COVID-19 SD/MI science learning trends lead to the following indicators including (1) the dominant learning method is lecture, (2) blackboards and markers are the dominant learning media, (3) student worksheets (LKS) are learning resources that are highly used by teachers, (4) assessment instruments used files/paper/written (5) oral tests are an assessment technique that is highly used by teachers, (6) cognitive assessment is the teachers' favorite in evaluations, (7) the realm of cognitive assessment in the majority is still oriented towards LOTS (Low Order Thinking Skills), namely understanding and remembering, and (8) aspects of discipline and responsibility are the main affective assessments that most teachers do. These findings imply that there is a need for more diverse and higher- order thinking skills (HOTS)-oriented teaching and assessment methods to enhance the overall quality of science education.

Abstract

Perlakuan sebagian masyarakat dalam menyakralkan atau mensucikan makam orang suci dilakukan dengan cara menziarahi makamnya yang dijadikan tradisi atau bagian dari ibadah. Seringkali mereka melakukan tawasul atau meminta sesuatu kepada Tuhan melalui perantara wali yang disucikan itu. Pada masa dahulu ziarah memang tidak diperbolehkan oleh Rasulullah lalu kembali diperbolehkan karena dalam ziarah terdapat banyak manfaat yang salah satunyadapat mengingat pada kematian. Intinya ziarah kubur bukan dimaksudkan untuk syirik. Tulisan ini merupakan penelitian analisis deskriptif, dengan studi lapangan yang bersifat kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa adanya nilai-nilai religius dalam tradisi ziarah kubur makam Syekh Baribin yang dikelompokan menjadi tiga bagian yaitu nilai Ibadah, Nilai Aqidah dan Nilai Akhlak. Tradisi Ziarah Kubur Makam Syekh Baribin di Desa Sikanco yaitu tahlil kubur pada malam Jumat yang dilaksanakan pada jam 12 malam dengan membaca yasin 40 kali, tahlil kubur pada malam Jumat setelah maghrib, hari keramat Kamis wage Jumat kliwon acaranya dilakukan dari siang sampai malam.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between self-efficacy in geometry and Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) among Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers in Banyumas Regency.  Self-efficacy was assessed in 79 sampled teachers using a multidimensional teaching self-efficacy scale focused on effectiveness and classroom management, while PCK was evaluated through tasks involving the perimeter and area of two-dimensional shapes.  The findings reveal a weak correlation between self-efficacy and PCK, indicating limited interdependence.  This highlights the need to address gaps in both areas. Within an Islamic context, the study emphasizes the relevance of tazkiyah (self-purification) and ilm (knowledge acquisition) as principles of teacher development.  It recommends targeted training aligned with Islamic values to simultaneously enhance self-efficacy and PCK. Such an integrated approach aims to improve teaching skills, foster holistic growth, and create a nurturing learning environment that benefits both teachers and students.

Abstract

The problem of Qur'an tahfiz for elementary school-age children requires a solution. This age has different competencies from school age above and adults so it requires different methods. This study presents tahfiz Qur'an methods for elementary school children, guidance patterns, supporting and inhibiting factors, and then looks for ideal methods and guidance formulations. This explanatory case study took the subjects of twenty-two students from two selected pesantren, namely Pesantren Yanbu'ul Qur'an Kebumen which applies behavioristic pattern and Pesantren An-Nur Bantul with humanistic pattern. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, tested through data triangulation, then utilizing the Miles & Huberman interactive model analysis. With the goal of formulating an ideal Qur'an tahfiz method for children, this study is preceded by presenting the findings of common methods used in Qur'an tahfiz, guidance patterns, and supporting and inhibiting factors. In the end, the ideal tahfiz method for children, besides creating a structured system and providing a conducive learning environment, is one that pays more attention to the characteristics of students (humanist).

Abstract

Kurikulum merdeka di tingkat pendidikan dasar memberikan perubahan, salah satunya pelajaran IPAS. Perubahan itu menjadikan konsekuensi bagi pola pembelajaran yang selama ini dilakukan. Hadirnya IPAS juga menghadirkan kebingungan sebagian guru dalam mengimplementasikan di kelas yang dituntut menekankan pada science process skills dan social skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model pembelajaran IPAS berbasis kearifan lokal untuk meningkatkan science process skills dan social skills untuk siswa sekolah dasar yang valid. Penelitian menggunakan desain penelitian Research and Development model Borg and Gall yang mengambil 5 dari 10 langkah, yaitu (1) mengumpulkan informasi, (2) merancang model, (3) mengembangkan produk awal, (4) melakukan uji coba awal produk, (5) merevisi produk awal. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi instrumen. Analisi data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian berhasil mengembangkan model pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal yang valid dalam meningkatkan science process skills dan social skills siswa sekolah dasar dengan kriteria sangat baik pada 4 aspek, yaitu teori pendukung, sintaks, pengelolaan kelas, dan tujuan.

Abstract

The digital era has significantly shaped students’ behavior and religious orientations, posing new challenges for religious education. This study examines the transformation of the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in fostering students’ religious awareness at SMP Negeri 5 Cilacap. A qualitative descriptive approach was applied, with data collected through interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving PAI teachers and students. Data were analyzed using an interactive model, supported by triangulation of sources and methods. The findings indicate that PAI teachers’ roles have shifted from conventional instruction to multifaceted functions, including mentoring, motivating, facilitating, and serving as exemplary role models. This transformation is realized through habituation of religious practices, exemplary conduct, and sustained guidance, contributing to the development of students’ religious awareness across cognitive, affective, and behavioral dimensions in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of multiple intelligences (MI)-based problem-solving strategies in Fiqh learning for Grade VII students at MTs Ma’arif Rakit Banjarnegara. The research responds to a persistent epistemological gap in Islamic pedagogy, where conventional Fiqh instruction emphasizes textual memorization and deductive reasoning at the expense of student engagement and critical reflection. Such practices constrain students’ capacity to relate Islamic jurisprudence to contemporary moral and social realities. Adopting a qualitative descriptive design informed by an interpretivist approach, data were collected through interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that MI-based problem-solving transforms learning processes by positioning students as active interpreters of religious meaning. Learning unfolded through four interrelated stages problem identification, argument analysis, practical application, and reflective evaluation each aligned with distinct domains of intelligence such as linguistic, logical, kinesthetic, and interpersonal. Thematic coding and triangulated validation indicated consistent patterns of increased participation, dialogical reasoning, and spiritual self-awareness across learning contexts. Analytically, the study advances an interpretive model of constructivist Islamic pedagogy, demonstrating how the integration of MI and problem-solving can reconfigure epistemic practices in Fiqh learning. This model contributes new insight into how differentiated intelligence frameworks can operationalize reflective, value-oriented learning consistent with the transformative aims of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education presents both opportunities and ethical challenges, particularly within Islamic education, which emphasizes moral and spiritual values. However, empirical studies examining how AI is humanistically integrated in madrasah contexts remain limited. This study aims to analyze the process of AI integration within value-based Islamic pedagogy and to construct a conceptual Humanistic–AI Learning Model for Islamic elementary education. A qualitative case study was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah NU Ma’arif Karangnangka, Banyumas, involving five teachers, one principal, and three students selected purposively. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis, and analyzed thematically using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model with triangulation. The findings indicate that AI integration operates as a negotiation between technological literacy and spiritual values. Four themes emerged: (1) the initial construction of AI as an instrumental tool, (2) partial yet humanistically oriented digital pedagogical practices, (3) ethical tensions between technological efficiency and moral integrity, and (4) the role of spiritual leadership in shaping digital transformation. This study contributes a novel Humanistic–AI Learning Model that conceptualizes a dialectical relationship between pedagogical, humanistic, and spiritual dimensions in AI integration. The model extends humanistic learning perspectives by framing AI as an ethical-spiritual practice and provides practical implications for developing ethically grounded, AI-ready madrasahs.
