Abstract: The objectives of this research are to find out the picture storybook model based on local wisdom on students' learning motivation and understanding of concepts, know the application of the picture storybook model based on local wisdom on students' learning motivation and concept understanding and want to know the effect of using storybooks. Illustrations based on local wisdom on students' learning motivation and understanding of concepts at TK Negeri 7 Taliwang. The research method used in this qualitative research. The data collection procedures used were observation, interviews, and documentation, which were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Observation results showed that students were motivated and had an increased understanding of concepts in learning, with an increase in the second and third meetings. In contrast, interview results showed that teachers were very enthusiastic and interested in using picture storybooks based on local wisdom. This research concludes that using picture storybooks based on local wisdom influences students' learning motivation and understanding of concepts at TK Negeri 7 Taliwang, as seen from the students' enthusiasm in listening because it is a new experience for them.Key Words: Local, Learning Motivation, Concept Understanding.Abstrak: Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu ingin mengetahui model buku cerita bergambar berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik, ingin mengetahui penerapan model buku cerita bergambar berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik, dan ingin mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan buku cerita bergambar berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik di TK Negeri 7 Taliwang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Prosedur pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang dianalisis dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil observasi didapatkan, peserta didik termotivasi dan meningkatnya pemahaman konsep dalam belajar dengan adanya peningkatan pada pertemuan kedua dan ketiga, sedangkan hasil wawancara didapatkan guru sangat antusias dan tertarik dalam menggunakan buku cerita bergambar berbasis kearifan lokal. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penggunaan buku cerita bergambar berbasis kearifan lokal berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik di TK Negeri 7 Taliwang,
