Abstract

PT. PG. Rajawali II unit PG. Jatitujuh uses 3 boiler units as its energy source, one of which is boiler Fives Cail Babcock BR 2-39-62 capacity of 55 tons / hour. Boilers or boilers are closed vessels used to produce steam, steam is obtained by heating a vessel containing water with fuel. The steam produced by the boiler will be used to drive the turbine in 2 alternators, 1 unit of unigator, 1 unit of mill, 1 unit of cane cuter, and the process of drying sugar. BR 2-39-62 FCB boilers began operating in 1980, this boiler is quite old so that the performance has decreased. For this reason, an analysis was held to determine the efficiency of the boiler. The initial standard of boiler operation FCB 2-39-62 in 1980 was a maximum working pressure of 26 bar, the temperature of the incoming water was 105ºC, steam temperature was 350ºC, steam flow was 47 Ton / Hour, and water quality was 7.0 pH. Based on data and analysis, it is known that the initial efficiency of boiler operation FCB BR 2-39-62 is 100%, while the greatest efficiency on October 21, 2018 is 38%. The effect of decreasing boiler efficiency is caused by the reduced temperature of boiler intake due to the buildup of scale and rust on the pipe, which affects the steam flow.

Abstract

In an effort to support the progress of the automotive industry in Indonesia, PT Persada Selaras Indonesia PSI produces quality automotive part products and also carries out the manufacturing process using a stamping machine with a capacity of 110 tons. The purpose of this research is to increase work productivity properly and also produce precision according to production sizes. In this study there were several methods with research stages in which there were observations, literature studies, preparation of book materials, preparation of stamping press machines, setting dies, trial 0, results of measuring data, trial 1 of Maspro and finally the conclusion. The results of the research are the manufacturing process, the Honda Br-V Car Mount Part (Knee Bolster As Out T86 A) by going through the raw material preparation stage with SPCC raw materials, preparing a stamping press machine with a capacity of 110 tons, setting diess on a stamping press machine installing clamping up and down so that the deiss cannot move to anticipate the upper diess and lower diess collide. and the die height setting regulates the machine parameters for deiss with the aim that the part results are in accordance with the standard. The die height parameter has been determined according to the part and machine used, Trial T0 The blanking process, flanging process, Bending process and Pierching process 1-2, Trial T1 After that, it enters mass production. Diess needed in the manufacture of Honda Br-V Car Seat Parts (Knee Bolster As Out T86 A, namely first diess blangking, second diess flanging, third diess bending, fourth pierching 1-2.

Abstract

Oil and gas business activities are high-cost and high-risk activities, therefore it is necessary to carefully calculate all existing aspects. Directorate General of Oil and Gas c.q. The Directorate of Oil and Gas Engineering and Environment has the task of ensuring the feasibility of using an equipment so as to create a safe and appropriate installation for use in oil and gas operations. The drilling tower is one of the main components in oil and gas drilling activities. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out inspections to ensure the quality of the towers produced so that they comply with existing standards and are safe to use. Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) is one of the Non-Destructive Test (NDT) methods to carry out inspections to ensure that equipment, especially towers, are in a safe and suitable condition for use. By ensuring the safety and feasibility of the tower as a supporting component of a drilling installation, it can be concluded that its safety and feasibility can be concluded.

Abstract

PT X. is a cement manufacturing company. which experiences production losses due to the high value of downtime. Based on downtime data, the largest machine downtime value is found in the Raw Mill, so the Raw Mill machine becomes the object of research. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of the Raw Mill machine in the application of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). The method used is Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to measure machine effectiveness and loss factor analysis with the Six Big Losses method. The results found that the average OEE value in 2022 was below the international OEE standard of 85%, namely 78% for Raw Mill Plant 10 in the 2019 period and 74% in the 2022 period. The low performance of the Raw Mill Plant 10 machine is caused by the breakdown loss factor and the reduced speed loss factor. The root causes found are lack of mechanical training and lack of control for spare parts. The recommendations given are the implementation of predictive maintenance, improving training facilities, and creating a spare parts inventory management system.

Abstract

PT. Amanah Jaya Persada is a company engaged in the manufacture of automotive parts, precision parts, jigs & fixtures, molds & dies, casting parts, fabrication and manufacture of tools for other industrial needs. PT. Amanah Jaya Persada manufactures Vertical Shaft Mixer Parts using conventional lathes and CNC Milling machines. In the process of making Part Shaft, the process of measuring the initial diameter of the material, making a sketch of the size of the workpiece, and the process of making the CNC Milling program code. The purpose of this research is to find out the production process time for Vertical Shaft Mixer Parts on Conventional Lathes and CNC Milling Machines, to understand the types of program codes on CNC milling machines. The research stages were carried out from the observation stage, problem formulation, literature study, field practice, data collection and data analysis, followed by material specifications, Conventional Lathes and CNC Milling Machines. The results showed that the production process for the Part Shaft Mixer Vertical using a conventional lathe required machining time of 33 minutes 6 seconds, while for a CNC milling machine it took 14 minutes 6 seconds. The CNC milling process uses a combination of G91 incremental and absolute G90 machining commands, G28 to return to the reference point for repeated feeding, as well as M code for rotating spindle commands, changing tools, turning on the coolant and stopping the machine / program is complete.

Abstract

AbstractPersada Selaras Indonesia is a company operating in the field of stamping and die sheet metal in Majalengka Regency. One of the products produced at PT. Persada Selaras Indonesia is part of the Brake Pedal Stopper Bracket. In the process of making Brake Pedal Stopper Bracket Parts using SAPH-440 material using a Press Stamping Machine with a capacity of 110 Tons through the Dies selection process for the Blanking, Bending (1 + 2), and Pierching processes. Researchers used the observation method to determine the process of the Brake Pedal Stopper Bracket Part. The Brake Pedal Stopper Bracket Part is one of the components contained in the brake pedal of the Hyundai Creta vehicle which is produced at PT. Persada Aligned Indonesia. The process of making Brake Pedal Stopper Bracket Parts is divided into several parts, namely the Planing process, Shearing, Blanking Process, Bending Process (1 + 2), Pierching Process, and Quality Control Process. Abstract

This practical work aims to apply manual turning methods based on design using SolidWorks software in the manufacturing process of a diesel fuel pump adaptor bolt. The stages include product design with SolidWorks, material selection of ST 37 steel, manual turning processes (facing, turning, drilling, chamfering, threading, and cutting), and product inspection. The results show that SolidWorks helps minimize dimensional errors during production, while ST 37 steel is suitable due to its ductility. The manual turning process successfully produced adaptor bolts with good precision according to specifications. In conclusion, the integration of CAD design with manual turning improves efficiency and product quality. It is recommended to enhance machining technology and consistently apply safety discipline during production.

Abstract

Coffee is one of the most valuable agricultural commodities with increasing consumption both in Indonesia and globally. Roasting is a crucial stage in coffee processing that transforms green beans into roasted beans, developing distinctive aroma, flavor, and color through complex chemical reactions such as Maillard reaction, caramelization, and degradation of organic compounds. One of the key parameters in roasting is the first crack, which indicates the degree of bean development and is often used as a reference to control the roasting profile. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of Drum Roaster and Hot Air Roaster based on the time to reach first crack at three roasting levels (light, medium, and dark) using Robusta green beans with moisture content of 11–12.5%. Experimental results showed that the Hot Air Roaster was more time-efficient compared to the Drum Roaster, with an average reduction of 1 minute and 3 seconds in reaching the first crack. Furthermore, organoleptic Responses indicated that coffee roasted with the Hot Air Roaster produced a stronger aroma compared to the Drum Roaster at all roasting levels. These findings suggest that the Hot Air Roaster provides better efficiency and aroma quality, making it a suitable option for coffee roasting, although the choice of roaster should still consider production needs and flavor preferences.

Abstract

Waste is the main cause of environmental pollution in Indonesia, with 36.11 million tons of waste generated annually according to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) in 2022. Only 63.53% of this waste is managed, while the rest remains poorly handled. In Cibogo District, Sadawarna Village produces 0.5 tons of plastic waste per day, with waste management still suboptimal and public awareness relatively low. This issue leads to environmental pollution and poses a threat to public health. As a solution, the use of a Waste Disposal Machine is expected to improve waste management in Subang District. The methods carried out include data collection through journals, observation, and interviews at the Center for Appropriate Technology Research (PRTTG) BRIN, followed by blueprint analysis, work preparation, manufacturing processes, manufacturing assembly, performance testing, and finishing. The manufacturing process of the thermal waste disposal machine is divided into several components, with operations including measurement, cutting, rolling, threading, bending, drilling, and welding. Based on the continuous performance test results, when 20 kg of waste was inserted into the combustion chamber for 10 minutes, the prepared waste was immediately placed into the combustion chamber for further incineration until all available waste was fully processed. The temperatures obtained during the waste incineration process were 287ºC in the lower chamber, 778ºC in the middle chamber, and 62ºC inside the oven. The emissions produced during waste incineration showed the following changes: HCHO from 0.042 to 0.047, PM₂.₅ from 26 to 304, TVOC from 0.286 to 0.004, CO from 4 to 2, CO₂ from 487 to 399, temperature from 26ºC to 29ºC, RH from 67% to 59%, and AQI from 18 to 86. Based on these data, the emissions released by the waste disposal machine remain within normal limits and are not considered hazardous.

Abstract

This Practical Work Report explains the process of making PC Bar heading using a hot heading machine and the quality control process of PC Bar head quality at PT. Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk PPb Majalengka. The goal is to make PC Bar heads using hot heading machines and carry out quality control of PC Bar quality. In making PC Bar headings using hot heading machines, there are several stages from air supply, oil supply, workpiece clamping, workpiece heating, hammer forming, workpiece removal and cooling. In addition, this report discusses the quality control process of PC Bar head quality. PC-Bar headings that pass the Engineering and Quality process have a head diameter of 13-14 mm and a head thickness of 5-6 mm. Through this practical work report, it is hoped that readers can gain insight into the process of making PC Bar heads using hot heading machines and the company's contribution in maintaining product quality.
