Abstract

The application of automation technology in the agricultural sector is a highly effective solution for improving the efficiency and productivity of seedling cultivation, particularly in oil palm nurseries. CV Pangean Raya TBS is an oil palm nursery business located in Solok Selatan Regency. CV Pangean Raya TBS is currently facing challenges in the watering process of oil palm seedlings, as it is still done manually. This manual method leads to wasted time, labor, and water. Manual watering often results in uneven water distribution, which can affect the quality of the oil palm seedlings. This research aims to design and implement an efficient Internet of Things (IoT)-based automatic watering system using a soil moisture sensor, ESP32 module, and RTC. The system is designed to monitor soil moisture conditions in real time and regulate watering automatically. The automatic watering is based on the moisture values detected by the sensor. Watering can also be manually controlled via a smartphone when needed, such as during rainfall, to prevent water wastage and overwatering of the oil palm seedlings. This system can help plantation owners optimize water usage, increase seedling productivity, and reduce dependence on manual labor. The research results indicate that the watering system can operate automatically based on the moisture data received, making it effective in conserving resources, improving productivity, and providing better control over plant conditions.

Abstract

One of the ways to increase student interest in reading can be done by increasing the collection of books in the Kerinci IAIN library. But so far to determine the collection of books to be added is still done manually, so it takes a long time, besides that the process of adding books which refers to the statistics of borrowing the most books makes the collection of books less diverse. For this reason, a book collection clustering method is needed using the k-Means method to obtain optimal results. Book collections are grouped into 3 clusters, that is, considerations need to be added, priorities to be added and not need to be added can be a reference for librarians in maximizing the process of adding book collections. To facilitate the collection of book collections, RapidMiner software is used to get fast and accurate results

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and design the computer network infrastructure at the Politeknik Negeri Padang (PNP) Program Studi Di luar Kampus Utama (PSDKU) South Solok in order to improve network performance. Currently there are 4 Optical Network Terminal (ONT) units from ISP Indihome with bandwidth for 2 ONTs of 100 Mbps and 1 ONT of 300 Mbps and 1 ONT specifically as a Wifi ID access point to meet the internet needs of lecturers, students and educational staff. However, there are problems identified, namely bandwidth management is not optimal, which results in a bottleneck on one of the ISP lines and not optimal use of the available bandwidth capacity and there is no back up if one of the ONTs has a problem. This research uses the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method which consists of analysis, design, simulation, implementation, monitoring and management stages. In the initial stage, network requirements analysis and network topology design with the addition of a router are carried out. Network testing is carried out at the final stage to ensure that the new network infrastructure is able to work properly. The results of this research provide better internet network optimization in PNP PSDKU South Solok

Abstract

Kerusakan tanaman yang disebabkan oleh burung menjadi tantangan bagi petani dalam mempertahankan hasil panen. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, dikembangkan sebuah alat pengusir burung berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang mampu memberikan pemberitahuan melalui aplikasi Telegram. Sistem ini memanfaatkan ESP32 sebagai mikrokontroler utama, sensor PIR dan ultrasonik untuk mendeteksi keberadaan burung, serta motor servo dan buzzer untuk menghasilkan gerakan dan suara sebagai pengusir. Ketika burung terdeteksi, alat akan mengaktifkan buzzer dan motor servo untuk menakuti burung, serta mengirimkan notifikasi ke pengguna melalui Telegram agar dapat dipantau secara jarak jauh. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa alat ini bekerja dengan baik dalam mendeteksi burung, memberikan respon secara cepat, dan mengirimkan notifikasi real-time. Diharapkan alat ini dapat membantu petani dalam mengurangi kerusakan pada tanaman dan meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian secara efektif.

Abstract

Abstract: Implementation of the K-Means clustering algorithm in this study aims to group students based on academic performance in the D3 Teknik Komputer PSDKU Solok Selatan. Clustering is performed based on course grades over 3 semesters, GPA from semester 1 to 3, and student attendance. Data was taken from 27 students who have completed their studies over 3 semesters with a dataset of 29 attributes that will be used in this research. 1 attribute as an identity, 27 attributes underwent a normalization process using MIN-Max Scaler. The clustering process using the Elbow Method and Silhouette Score obtained an optimal cluster k=3, where cluster 0 consists of 10 students, cluster 1 has 8 students, and cluster 2 has 9 students. Cluster 1 shows students with very good academic performance, cluster 2 with diverse academic performance, and cluster 0 with low or poor performance. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) analysis shows good clustering results without overlap. Keyword: Data mining, K-Means clustering, Elbow Method, Silhouette Score, Academic               Performance Abstrak: Implementasi algoritma K-Means clustering  di penelitian ini bertujuan mengelompokkan mahasiswa berdasarkan kinerja akademik pada Program Studi D3 Teknik Komputer PSDKU Solok Selatan. Clustering dilakukan berdasarkan nilai matakuliah selama 3 semester, IP semester 1 sampai 3 dan absensi kehadiran mahasiswa. Data diambil dari 27 mahasiswa yang telah menyelesaikan perkuliahan selama 3 semester dengan 29 atribut datashet yang akan digunakan pada penelitian ini. 1 atribut sebagai identitas, 27 atribut dilakukan proses normalisasi menggunakan MIN-Max Scaler. Proses clustering dengan Metode Elbow dan Silhouette Score mendapatkan klaster optimal k=3, dimana klaster 0 terdiri dari 10 mahasiswa, klaster 1 terdapat 8 mahasiswa dan klaster 2 terdapat 9 mahasiswa. Klaster 1 menunjukkan mahasiswa dengan kinerja akademik yang sangat baik, klaster 2 dengan kinerja akademik yang beragam dan klaster 0 dengan kinerja yang rendah atau kurang. Analisis Principal Component Analysis (PCA)memnampilkan hasil klastering yang baik tanpa tumpang tindih. Kata kunci: Data mining, K-Means clustering, Elbow Method, Silhoutte Score, Kinerja                    Akademik

Abstract

Musala Darul Falah is a place of worship for Muslims located in Jorong Koto Tuo, Nagari Lubuk Malako, Sangir Jujuan District, South Solok Regency. The mosque is regularly visited by the local community for the five daily prayers, and it also hosts routine religious classes for children and teenagers. Currently, the prayer schedule at Musala Darul Falah is still managed using a conventional method, specifically a chalkboard. If there are any changes in the prayer times, they must be manually updated. The appearance of the prayer schedule board is quite basic and lacks an aesthetic appeal. In fact, places of worship should incorporate elements of beauty to enhance the comfort of the congregation during prayer. To address this issue, the management of Musala Darul Falah, in collaboration with the Community Service Team, has installed a digital prayer schedule display in the form of a running text device with an automatic call-to-prayer feature. This device can be accessed and controlled through a smartphone. The design and appearance of the content displayed on the running text can be customized by the management according to their preferences. With the installation of this running text device, it is hoped that the management of Musala Darul Falah will have a more efficient way to manage the prayer schedule and add an aesthetic touch to improve the comfort of the congregation
