Abstract

Abstract

Meat has high nutritional value which is widely consumed by humans. The content contained in meat includes protein, vitamins, minerals, fats, and other substances that are needed by the body so that it can carry out activities every. However, unfortunately not all people can distinguish these types of meat, because the texture and color are almost similar. This is also often used by irresponsible meat sellers by mixing these types of meat or with other types of meat to get a big profit. Even though not everyone can consume certain types of meat for reasons of illness. This research was conducted to compare the GLCM and LBP methods for image classification of meat types based on texture analysis. The types of meat images that are classified are goat meat, buffalo meat, and horse meat. Image data is taken manually using a digital camera the Nikon D3200. The image was taken at a distance of 20 cm. Data testing and training was carried out using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method. The texture characteristics used are ASM, IDM, entropy, contrast, and correlation. The results of the image classification accuracy of goat, buffalo, and horse meat using the GLCM method were 75.6%. While the results of the classification accuracy using the LBP method amounted to 85,6%. Thus, the LBP texture feature extraction method is recommended for classification of meat types using texture characteristics.

Abstract

SMA Tunas Mekar Indonesia is one of  Lampung Province schools that uses the 2013 curriculum. The assessment reporting process of student learning skills and achievement by teachers uses report cards that are distributed to parents at the end of each semester. In the managing the report card data process, there are several obstacles, namely the obstruction of grade recapitulation because the subject teacher is late in sending student grades, it takes a long time in managing grades because the processing value data done repeatedly from the attendance recap report then the application of Microsoft Excel and the report books are recapitulated by staff allows data writing errors. The solution developed for this problem is to build a Web-Based E-Report Card Application that will help SMA Tunas Mekar Indonesia by simplifying and accelerating teachers and homeroom teachers in assessing student learning outcomes reports process on inputting student scores. In this application, teachers and homeroom teachers no longer need to send assessment data via email, because the data entered is already integrated with other data. So that it doesn't take a long time to enter student grades, and minimize the damage and loss of report card data. The application built has provided complete information regarding student report card information and helps schools in reporting student grades based on the testing results using ISO 25010 standart with a percentage of success with a total average of 92.82%.

Abstract

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, often detected at advanced stages. This study aims to develop an accurate and efficient lung cancer risk prediction system by comparing the performance of four machine learning algorithms: Random Forest, Support Vector Machine (SVM), XGBoost, and Logistic Regression. To address the class imbalance problem in the dataset, this study implements the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE). The dataset used comes from Kaggle and consists of 5000 patient records with 29 predictive features. The research process includes data collection, pre-processing, data splitting, application of SMOTE, data scaling, model definition, model training, model evaluation, and performance comparison of the models. The results of the study show that the Logistic Regression and SVM models demonstrate the best performance with accuracies of 97.20% and 97.40%, respectively, and ROC-AUC scores of 99.80% and 99.66%, respectively. The implementation of the model in a web-based system allows both the general public and health professionals to use the model for predicting lung cancer risk based on identified factors. These results contribute to the development of a lung cancer risk prediction model that can assist in making better medical decisions.
