Abstract

Learning is an interactive process between educators and students in a certain lesson. One of the affective aspects that has a role in the learning process is learning interest. This learning interest has an extremely important role and has a great impact on students in a lesson. This research intended to comprehend Informatics Engineering students’ learning interest in a Linear Algebra course. The subjects of this research were Informatics Engineering Students of Universitas Islam Lamongan, with a total of 53 students. This research method was a qualitative descriptive method. The data source in this research came from the questionnaire of students’ learning interests in a Linear Algebra course. The data analysis in this research used four learning interest criteria including feelings of pleasure, attention, interest, and involvement. The results of the analysis that was obtained from this research got an average of: 71.89% for the criteria of pleasure feeling; 72.36% for the attention criteria; 71.79% for the interest criteria; and 71.79% for the involvement criteria with a total average of 71.96%. It can be concluded that students' learning interest in the Linear Algebra course was in the high category.

Abstract

Ketertarikan seseorang pada apa yang mereka hargai merupakan sumber inspirasi bagi mereka. Keefektifan seseorang dalam mencapai tujuan belajarnya juga dipengaruhi oleh minat. Hasil belajar juga dapat dipengaruhi oleh gaya belajar selain minat. Setiap orang memiliki gaya belajar yang unik. Ini memiliki dampak yang bervariasi pada seberapa baik seseorang dapat menerima informasi. Informasi yang ditawarkan dapat terserap dengan baik sehingga hasil belajar juga akan baik jika pendidik mengetahui preferensi belajar setiap siswa yang berbeda-beda. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memastikan apakah minat dan preferensi belajar siswa berdampak pada hasil mata kuliah aljabar linier. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi deskriptif kuantitatif. Tentang sumber data diperoleh dari hasil belajar, survei gaya belajar, dan angket minat belajar. Dalam penelitian ini, kuesioner dengan alat bantuan Google Form digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Berdasarkan nilai taraf signifikan 0,0000 < 0,05, F hitung = 9,102 > F tabel = 3,18, dan taraf pengaruh 26,72%, diperoleh hasil bahwa hasil belajar siswa pada mata kuliah aljabar linier dipengaruhi oleh minat dan gaya belajar.

Abstract

In the world of engineering, one example of using a matrix is to find a solution to a system of linear equations (SLE). In the scientific field that studies electrical circuits, it is not uncommon to use matrices to calculate the quantities or values in an electric circuit. To make it easier to find these values, an operation process based on the Cramer and inverse methods based on Matlab is used so that finally the values contained in the electrical circuit are obtained. These values are electric current and electric voltage. In this study, it can be concluded that the use of the Matlab-based matrix inverse method is better in terms of the accuracy of the research results, when compared to the manual use of the Cramer method, which has an accuracy difference of 0.0006%. For the calculation of the current variable i3. and 0.81% for the calculation of the electric voltage variable at node AB.

Abstract

Interesting learning is extremely needed to motivate student participation in class. Besides increasing student participation, the existence of different learning than usual is expected to increase students understanding so that student learning outcomes also can increase. In this research, Think Pair Share learning was implemented by combining the assignment method. The objective of this research was to improve student learning outcomes through Think Pair Share learning with the assignment method on vector material. This research was a classroom action research. The data sources of this research came from the answer result of the assignment given, the result of student activity observation, and the result of student response questionnaires. This research used a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. This technique was used to describe the description of activities according to the data obtained. This research concludes that Think Pair Share learning with the assignment method is effective to be implemented in the classroom, as proven by the percentage increase from 65% to 77.5%. Students' responses also indicated a good category, which was 87.8%. The results of this research pointed out that there was an increase in student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II, which was from 64.5% to 81.2%.

Abstract

Pola asuh merupakan cara mendidik anak dalam memberikan dorongan untuk mengubah sikap yang tepat dalam bermasyarakat. Pola asuh dapat dimulai dari interaksi yang terjadi antara anak dan orang tua yang dapat mendorong perkembangan anak sejak dini, tak terkecuali perkembangan emosi anak. Perkembangan emosi anak merupakan salah satu aspek yang dimiliki seseorang sejak lahir dan dapat berkembang sesuai dengan lingkungan yang dapat memengaruhi. Namun, pengetahuan mengenai pola asuh di Desa Palangan sangat rendah. Mengingat pentingnya hal ini maka pengabdi berinisiatif memberikan sosialisasi mengenai pola asuh orang tua terhadap perkembangan emosi anak. Tujuan sosialisasi ini adalah memberikan pemahaman mengenai pola asuh orang tua yang dapat berpengaruh pada perkembangan emosi anak. Teknik pengumpulan data berasal dari observasi lapangan, responss serta pengisian kuesioner. Pada kegiatan sosialisasi ini terbagi menjadi tiga, diantaranya yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Dari hasil sosialisasi yang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan orang tua dalam menerapkan pola asuh yang baik dalam hal mengembangkan kemampuan emosional anak. Adapun poin penting yang diperoleh, diantaranya yaitu orang tua harus mengikuti zaman, dalam mengasuh anak harus dengan kelembutan bukan kekerasan, hubungan dengan keluarga harus harmonis, koordinasi yang baik dengan keluarga, dapat mengetahui bakat dan minat anak, serta tirakat.

Abstract

ABSTRACTIn preparing students to face the challenges of the industrial world 4.0, namely focusing on automation and collaborating with cyber technology, SMKN 1 Lamongan is determined to provide quality education that is relevant to the needs of the job market. Automated systems have now become a primary need in industry so that all vocational schools are required to prepare their students to be able to master them. PLC is a technology today that has been used in large industries as a flexible and complex automatic controller. Haiwell as an HMI for monitoring which has a SCADA function. The aim of this activity is to prepare the students of SMKN 1 Lamongan who will later enter the industrial world. Haiwell's Outseal PLC and SCADA were chosen for this training because they are popular automation devices and systems and are widely used in various industries. Apart from that, Outseal PLC is used in this training activity because Outseal PLC is easy to understand, simple, cheap and very affordable. This training was successfully implemented as seen from the results of the questionnaire and the enthusiasm of the participants when the training activity took place, participants were able to solve the problems given.Keywords: Training, PLC-SCADA, Outseal-Haiwell, SMKABSTRAKDalam mempersiapkan siswa untuk menghadapi tantangan dunia industri 4.0 yaitu menitikberatkan pada otomatisasi dan mengkolaborasikannya dengan teknologi cyber, SMKN 1 Lamongan bertekad untuk memberikan pendidikan berkualitas dan relevan dengan kebutuhan pasar kerja. Sistem otomatis kini sudah menjadi kebutuhan primer di Industri sehingga semua sekolah kejuruan diharuskan dapat mempersiapkan siswanya untuk dapat menguasainya. PLC merupakan salah satu teknologi pada masa kini yang telah digunakan pada industri-industri besar sebagai kontroler otomatis yang sudah fleksibel dan kompleks. Haiwell sebagai HMI untuk memonitor yang mempunyai fungsi sebagai SCADA. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah sebagai persiapan para siswa SMKN 1 Lamongan yang nantinya akan terjun ke dunia industri. PLC Outseal dan SCADA Haiwell dipilih dalam pelatihan ini karena merupakan perangkat dan sistem otomasi yang populer dan banyak digunakan di berbagai industri. Selain itu, PLC Outseal digunakan dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini karena PLC Outseal mudah dipahami, simple, murah, dan sangat terjangkau. Pelatihan ini berhasil dilaksanakan terlihat dari hasil dari kuesioner dan antusiasme peserta ketika kegiatan pelatihan berlangsung, peserta dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan yang diberikan.Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, PLC-SCADA, Outseal-Haiwell, SMK

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah diperlukan oleh peserta didik dari mulai sekolah dasar hingga perguruan tinggi untuk mengetahui keterampilan proses berpikirnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses berpikir aljabar mahasiswa berdasarkan representasional gesture dalam menyelesaikan masalah operational research. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan dua mahasiswa manajemen semester II Unisla yang dipilih berdasarkan penggunaan representasional gesture yang bervariasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan secara triangulasi sumber dengan cara merekam aktivitas pemecahan masalah, mewawancarai dan mengamati hasil pekerjaan subjek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama proses menyelesaikan masalah operational research mahasiswa menggunakan representasional gesture. Gesture yang digunakan dalam menyelesaikan masalah menggambarkan seberapa jauh proses penyelesaian masalah yang dapat dilakukan oleh mahasiswa. Subjek S1 mampu menyelesaikan masalah operational research dalam proses berpikir aljabar hingga tahap indikator mendeskripsikan aturan, namun pemahaman konsep pada materi aljabar kurang dikuasainya. Sedangkan subjek S2 m ampu melalui semua indikator proses berpikir aljabar hingga indikator terakhir yaitu menggambarkan perubahan pada proses berpikir. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menyoroti pentingnya komunikasi non verbal (gesture) sebagai bentuk pemahaman konsep dan identifikasi kesulitan yang dialami oleh mahasiswa agar pengajar dapat memberikan intervensi yang tepat. Problem solving skills are needed by students from elementary school to college to find out their thinking process skills. This study aims to describe the algebraic thinking process of students based on representational gestures in solving operational research problems. The research method used is qualitative research with a case study type of research. The subjects of this study were two second semester Management students of Unisla who were selected based on the use of varying representational gestures. Data collection techniques were carried out by triangulating sources by recording problem solving activities, interviewing and observing the results of the subject's work. The results showed that during the process of solving Operational Research problems, students used representational gestures. The gestures used in solving problems illustrate how far the problem solving process can be carried out by students. S1 subjects were able to solve operational research problems in the algebraic thinking process up to the indicator stage of describing rules, but their understanding of the concept of algebraic material was less mastered. While S2 subjects were able to go through all indicators of the algebraic thinking process up to the last indicator, namely describing changes in the thinking process. This study is expected to highlight the importance of non-verbal communication (gesture) as a form of understanding concepts and identifying difficulties experienced by students so that teachers can provide appropriate interventions.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah aljabar linier ditinjau dari gaya kognitif. Gaya kognitif yang dimaksud pada penelitian ini adalah gaya kognitif field dependent (FD) dan field independent (FI). Langkah yang digunakan dalam menyelesaikan masalah ini yaitu dengan menggunakan Langkah Polya dengan melalui empat tahap, yaitu memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian masalah, melaksanakan perencanaan penyelesaian masalah, dan memeriksa kembali. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penentuan subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu berdasarkan skor hasil tes Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT) untuk mengetahui gaya kognitif mahasiswa dan hasil tes pemecahan masalah untuk melihat kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah satu subjek memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent (SFD) dan satu subjek memiliki gaya kognitif field independent (SFI). Hasil penelitian ini adalah SFI dapat memenuhi keempat langkah pemecahan masalah yaitu dengan memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian masalah, melaksanakan penyelesaian masalah, dan memeriksa kembali hasil jawaban yang diperoleh dari masalah yang diberikan dengan baik. Sedangkan untuk SFD masih kurang lengkap dalam memahami masalah dan merencanakan penyelesaian masalah sehingga mengakibatkan kurang lengkap pula penyelesaian masalah yang diberikan. SFD juga tidak memeriksa kembali hasil akhir yang diperoleh.

Abstract

An automatic system for determining mandibular landmark points on panoramic radiography can reduce errors due to differences in expert professionalism and save time. Previous research has shown that the linear regression method is ineffective at predicting condyle and gonion landmark points in panoramic radiography. So, this research proposes an analysis of nonlinear regression methods (support vector machine (SVM) kernel=‘polynomial’, polynomial regression, ensemble regression) for predicting condyle and gonion landmark points. There are four predicted landmark points, namely the right condyle, left condyle, right gonion, and left gonion. The nonlinear regression methods used are SVM, polynomial regression, and ensemble regression. The Dental and Oral Hospital, within the Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Airlangga, provides the research data. The research encompasses 119 patients between the ages of 19 and 70, dividing 103 into training and 16 into testing. The research results show that the SVM method is only good at predicting the right condyle point with a mean radial error (MRE) of 4,724 pixels. Meanwhile, to predict the left condyle, right gonion, and left gonion points, it is better to use the polynomial regression method and ensemble regression with an order of success detection rate (SDR) of 37.5%, 18.75%, and 12.5%, respectively.

Abstract

In the current learning process there are still many who use conventional methods or tend to be teacher-centered. This results in the inactivity of students which is feared will affect students' understanding which will have an impact on their learning outcomes. Therefore, the service took the initiative to provide training in order to increase the creativity of participants (in this case students) through the use of mind mapping. This service activity is expected to be applied to the process of learning activities so that there are interactions that occur in class. The service is carried out in three stages, including the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. At the evaluation stage, participants are given a questionnaire to assess the success of the activities that have been carried out. From the results of the dedication it was concluded that by utilizing this mind mapping it can foster creativity that can be poured by participants in a work.
