Abstract

The purpose of the study was to describe the feasibility of discovery learning based student worksheets in science learning for fifth grade students, to find out student responses to discovery learning based student worksheets in science learning to improve cognitive learning outcomes and science process skills of fifth grade students, to determine the effectiveness of using sheets the work of students based on discovery learning in science learning to improve cognitive learning outcomes and science process skills of class V students. This type of research uses Research and Development (R&D) a process to develop new products or improve existing products so that they can be accounted for. the application of an R & D approach with the method ADDIE. The integration of the discovery learning model in the worksheet elements of students has paid attention to the limitations of students' rational thinking abilities, especially elementary school age students. to help improve cognitive learning outcomes and science process skills using discovery learning models. The questions used were cognitive questions and science process skills questions used for assessment. The difficulty of developing student worksheets based on discovery learning in science learning is at the design stage, especially choosing striking colors on the background and choosing good pictures. With further research, it is necessary to prepare pictures that will be used to support student worksheets.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) explain the implementation of science learning using a scientific approach and utilization of the school environment. (2) determine the effect of a scientific approach and utilization of the school environment on the mastery of science concepts in fourth grade students. (3) to determine the effect of a scientific approach and the use of the school environment on science process skills in grade IV students. This type of research is quasi-experimental research or quasi-experimental. The design used in this study was a control group pre-test- post-test design. The subjects in this study were all fourth grade students at SD Negeri   Muara   Kulam   for   the   2022/2023   academic   year.   The   results   of observations on the implementation of learning at the first meeting obtained a percentage of the experimental class 68% then the control class 62%, for the second meeting the average results of the experimental class learning implementation were 93% and the control class 86%. The average value of students' process skills at the first meeting in the experimental class was 79.7%, while in the control class it was 64.6%. The average value of the results of observations of science process skills at the second meeting in the experimental class was 84.8%, while in the control class it was 74.6%. The results of the t-test analysis show that the value of Sig = 0.000 <0.05. In accordance with the test criteria, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of learning using a scientific approach to mastery of the concepts of fourth grade students at SD Negeri Muara Kulam.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of material, language, design, student response, and product effectiveness resulting from the development of e-modules based on the RME approach using traditional Bengkulu cakes to improve problem solving skills in flat shape material for class IV SD. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study. The model used in the development is the 4-D model. The subjects in the study were students of SDN 53 Kaur, which consisted of 12 students in class IV A as the control class, and 13 students in class IV B as the experimental class. The instruments used in this study were interview guideline, questionnaires, and problem-solving test questions in the form of essay for pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique used Aiken's V, Interrater Reliability, normality test, homogeneity test, t-test and N-gain score. From the research results it is known that the results of material, language, and design validation, as well as student responses to the use of e-modules are very feasible and well used in learning so that students are motivated to learn.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model on cognitive learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design method. The population of this study were students in class VA and VB, which consisted of 60 students. Data collection techniques in this study are through documentation, questionnaires, observation, questionnaires and tests. The test used to measure students' cognitive learning outcomes is in the form of multiple choice questions totaling 20 items related to the content of the Natural Sciences lesson, theme 7, material changes in the form of objects. Questionnaires were given to students to assess students' scientific attitudes from the dimensions of being curious and open-minded in the form of positive and negative statements as many as 15 statements. The results showed that the average cognitive learning outcomes of students at level 1 of knowledge, cognitive learning outcomes of students at level 2 of application or application, and cognitive learning outcomes of students at level 3 of scientific reasoning and attitudes of students in the dimension of curiosity using the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model in Science learning in general is very good. The N-Gain test from the pretest and posttest results of cognitive learning and scientific attitude is included in the medium category. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it was concluded that there was an influence of the Snowball Throwing type of cooperative learning model on students' cognitive learning outcomes and scientific attitudes of fifth grade students at SDN 06 Ujan Mas, science content.
