Abstract

Abstract: The learning model used by the teacher affects the learning outcomes to be achieved. The PQ4R-type cooperative learning model was expected to improve students' critical thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (PQ4R) on students' critical thinking skills on the subject of the circle of class VIII even semester MTs Tarbiyatul Islam Soko in 2017/2018 academic year. The type of research used in this research is quasi-experimental design (pseudo-experimental). The population in the study were all students of grade VIII MTs Tarbiyatul Islam Soko in the 2017/2018 academic year. The samples used in the study were students of class VIII B as the control class and students of class VIII D as the experimental class. The research instruments in this study were observation sheets and test questions on students' critical thinking skills. The data analysis technique used was a statistical technique with t-test and prerequisite test analysis with Lilliefors test for normality test, Bartlett test for homogeneity test, and t-test for a balance test. The results showed that learning with a cooperative learning model type Preview, Question, Read, Recite, Reflect, Review (PQ4R) has a better influence on students' critical thinking skills. This can be seen from the magnitude of       that        is -6.134 > 2.2906. The average of the last test also showed that the experimental class had better critical thinking skills than the control class, which was 81 for the experimental class and 70 for the control class. Based on the observation results on the application of the PQ4R type cooperative learning model in the experimental class at MTs Tarbiyatul Islam Soko, the average student learning activity is in the good category in each indicator, namely 75.69%; 72.74%; 70.65%; 74.65%; 73.09%; and 74.39%. Keywords: PQ4R type Cooperative Learning Model; Students' Critical Thinking Ability

Abstract

Abstrak: Guru dan siswa kurang matang dalam mempersiapkan perubahan sistem pembelajaran akibat pandemi sehingga memunculkan banyak problematika selama pembelajaran daring salah satunya yaitu kurangnya keaktifan dan minat belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi minat belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Bojonegoro (2) mengetahui minat belajar siswa berbantuan Edpuzzle melalui Google Classroom dalam pembelajaran matematika kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Bojonegoro. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan penyebaran angket dan wawancara siswa sebagai teknik pengambilan data. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu 12 siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 3 Bojonegoro. Analisis data angket dan wawancara siswa. Teknik keabsahan data yang digunakan yaitu triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat dijelaskan bahwa (1) minat belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Bojonegoro dipengaruhi beberapa faktor yaitu perasaan senang, ketertarikan, perhatian dan keterlibatan siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, (2) adanya peningkatan minat belajar siswa sebelum penambahan Edpuzzle dan sesudah penambahan Edpuzzle melalui Google Classroom dalam pembelajaran daring dengan rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 11,37%.Kata kunci: Minat Belajar; Edpuzzle; Google ClassroomAbstract: Teachers and students are not mature enough to prepare for changes in the learning system due to the pandemic, causing many problems during online learning, one of which is the lack of student activity and interest in learning. This study aims to (1) determine the factors that can affect the interest in learning mathematics of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Bojonegoro (2) determine the interest in learning of students assisted by Edpuzzle through Google Classroom in learning mathematics for class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Bojonegoro. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with the distribution of questionnaires and student interviews as data collection techniques. The subjects in this study were 12 students of class VIII even semester of SMP Negeri 3 Bojonegoro. Data analysis of questionnaires and student interviews. The data validity technique used is source triangulation and technical triangulation. Based on the results of the study, it can be explained that (1) several factors that influence the learning interest of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Bojonegoro in learning mathematics, namely feelings of pleasure, interest, attention and involvement of students in participating in learning, (2) an increase in student interest in learning before the addition of Edpuzzle and after adding Edpuzzle through Google Classroom in online learning with an average increase of 11.37%.Keywords: Interest in Learning, Edpuzzle, Google Classroom

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study aimed to analyze student errors to solve mathematical problems in gender. The subject in this research were Mathematics Education students in the Linear Program subject. The sample selection used purposive sampling by looking at the results of student tests on linear program material categorized by gender. The analysis data using observation methods, test methods and interview methods, meanwhile to validity test of the data using triangulation of data source and triangulation method. Based on the results of the study obtained results: 1) Errors experienced by male and female students are almost similar, but the mistakes experienced by female students are fewer than male students, 2) Female and male students with high ability categories possess different types of errors, namely female students only experience process errors and results of errors, while male experience transformation errors, process errors, results in errors, 3) Female and male students with low ability categories have the same type of errors, namely misunderstanding, transformation errors, process errors, results errors. In this study also none of the subjects experienced reading errors.

Abstract

Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan, permasalahan yang telah ditangani antara lain: Pada kelompok kesenian, adalah bagaimana kelompok ini memiliki peningkatan level keberdayaan baik pada ketrampilan kesenian thengul itu sendiri & ketrampilan sebagai pemandu wisata budaya. Pada kelompok pengrajin batik, antara lain pada bagaimana kelompok pengrajin ini memiliki diversitas produk baru berupa batik motif thengul & pernak pernik thengul serta bagaimana kelompok pengrajin ini dapat memperluas pemasaran produknya. Diperlukan upaya penanganan secara kolektif pengembangan kompetensi individu masyarakat agar terbentuk pola pikir dan sikap proaktif dalam menggali potensi diri melalui program inisiasi konservasi budaya thengul melalui pengembangan desa wisata berbasis budaya kesenian thengul dengan pengkonsentrasian pada kampung thengul. Tujuan dari program ini adalah Penguatan konsentrasi kampung thengul di Dusun Krajan, penguatan skill masyarakat sasaran akan kesenian thengul, peningkatan value added usaha berbasis kesenian thengul, dan teridentifikasinya perencanaan pengembangan wisata budaya kampung thengul. Program ini dikemas dalam beberapa aktivitas pokok antara lain pengkonsentrasian kampung thengul, pendampingan perencanaan pengembangan wisata budaya kampung thengul, dan pendampingan peningkatan value added usaha berbasis kesenian thengul

Abstract

Ethnomathematics of Samin Tribe's Culture: An Approach to Instructional Mathematics Learning. Objectives: This study aims to explore the ethno-mathematics of the Samin tribes’ culture that is applied in the form of mathematics instrumental questions on data analysis and probability materials in statistics. Method: This research applied a qualitative research design of an ethnographic approach. Ethnography is an approach that utilizes various data collection techniques, such as observation and interviews, which are complemented by the direct involvement of the researchers to gain a deep understanding of their participants. The data collection techniques used were direct observation and in-depth interviews. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively through three main stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data presented are the results of observations related to the Samin tribe culture, which are then analyzed for the mathematical elements contained in the culture to be presented in the form of an instrumental question. Findings: The results of the exploration of ethnomathematics in the Samin tribe revealed cultural elements in the form of objects and non-objects. The Object elements are in the form of gamelan, udheng samin, and batik samin. While non-object elements are cultural practices in the form of the tradition of “Petung”. The corresponding forms of mathematical connections are mathematical concepts related to geometry, algebra, statistics, probability, combinations, and permutations. Conclusion: Based on the results of the exploration, a set of questions related to the Samin tribes’ culture was produced on the topic of Data analysis and Probability (statistics) for junior high school students. These questions can be applied or implemented in the mathematics learning process, so that mathematics learning based on this culture adds another value of knowledge for the students, instead of mathematics itself. The results of this research are in the form of question prototypes that potential to be developed and validated further, thus can be applied in the learning process. Keywords: ethnomathematics, samin tribe, question prototypes, mathematics learning.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics: Exploration of Mathematical Elements in Oklik Music Art. Objectives: Exploring mathematical elements of Oklik as a cultures in Bojonegoro, East Java, Indonesia can be carried out in mathematics learning. This study aims to investigate the mathematical elements in it. Methods: Qualitative data analysis is implemented in this study by presenting and interpreting data which is related to mathematical elements. It includes stroke and note patterns that are produced from each instrument and combinations of it. Findings : Exploring mathematical elements viewed from types of instruments will produce different tones when it is combined well. When it is connected with musical solmization, it also produces different tones. Conclusion: Results of combinations create 32.760 tones that are produced in the notation and various strokes based on 15 combinations of instruments. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) matematika berbasis discovery learning pada materi fungsi kuadrat yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research & Development). Model pengembangan dalam penelitian ini adalah model 4-D yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu Define (Pendefinisian), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan), Disseminate (Penyebaran). Namun pada penelitian ini dimodifikasi hanya sampai pada tahap pengembangan (Develop). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPS 1 SMAN 1 Dander tahun ajaran 2021/2022 yang berjumlah 30 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi, angket respon siswa dan tes hasil belajar siswa (pre-test dan post test). Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kriteria valid dengan total skor rata-rata dari kedua validator adalah 3,15. Kemudian skor ratarata total angket respon siswa sebesar 3,35 menunjukkan bahwa Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori praktis. Sedangkan Berdasarkan tes hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan LKS, maka nilai ?ℎ????? sebesar -5,5741 sedangkan nilai ?????? sebesar -1,6991. Berarti bahwa nilai ?ℎ????? lebih kecil dari ?????? (-5,5741 < - 1,6991). Sehingga ?0 diterima dan ?? ditolak. Setelah menggunakan LKS hasil belajar siswa meningkat. Dengan demikian dapat simpulkan bahwa LKS matematika yang dikembangkan terbukti efektif. Kata kunci: Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS); Pengembangan; Discovery Learning Abstract: This study aims to describe the development of student worksheets (LKS) based on discovery learning mathematics on valid, practical and effective quadratic function materials. This type of research is research and development (Research & Development). The development model in this study is a 4-D model developed by Thiagarajan which consists of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate. However, in this study, it was modified only to the development stage (Develop). The subjects in this study were students of class X IPS 1 of SMAN 1 Dander for the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 30 children. Data collection techniques used in this study were validation sheets, student response questionnaires and student learning outcomes tests (pre-test and post-test). The results of this study indicate that the Student Worksheet developed is included in the valid criteria with the total average score of the two validators is 3.15. Then the average score of the total student response questionnaire was 3.35 indicating that the Student Worksheet developed was included in the practical category. Meanwhile, based on the test of student learning outcomes before and after using the student worksheet, the value of t_count is -5.5741 while the value of t_table is -1.6991. It means that the value of t_count is smaller than t_table (-5.5741 < -1.6991). So ?0 is accepted and ?? is rejected. After using student worksheets, student learning outcomes increase. Thus, it can be concluded that the mathematical worksheets developed have proven to be effective. Keywords: Student Worksheet , Development, Discovery Learning

Abstract

The research was carried out by researchers with the aim of analyzing the mathematical understanding of the students of SMPN 3 Bojonegoro on the probability material based on the APOS theory. This research method is qualitative by using a qualitative descriptive approach with the researcher acting as the key instrument or main instrument. Based on the results of the analysis of mathematical understanding of students at SMPN 3 Bojonegoro based on APOS Theory. In the framework of the action stage, the subject has a tendency to explain and present the given opportunities. Subjects in the process stage framework have a tendency to explain, present and classify questions about probability events. Subjects in the process stage framework are subjects who have a tendency to explain, present, classify and apply concepts and procedures. In the framework of the last stage, namely the framework of the schema stage, the subject has a tendency to explain, present, classify, apply and develop the concepts that have been studied. Keywords: Understanding Analysi; Mathematical Understanding; APOS Theory; Opportunity Material.
