Abstract

Abstract: The learning model used by the teacher affects the learning outcomes to be achieved. The PQ4R-type cooperative learning model was expected to improve students' critical thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (PQ4R) on students' critical thinking skills on the subject of the circle of class VIII even semester MTs Tarbiyatul Islam Soko in 2017/2018 academic year. The type of research used in this research is quasi-experimental design (pseudo-experimental). The population in the study were all students of grade VIII MTs Tarbiyatul Islam Soko in the 2017/2018 academic year. The samples used in the study were students of class VIII B as the control class and students of class VIII D as the experimental class. The research instruments in this study were observation sheets and test questions on students' critical thinking skills. The data analysis technique used was a statistical technique with t-test and prerequisite test analysis with Lilliefors test for normality test, Bartlett test for homogeneity test, and t-test for a balance test. The results showed that learning with a cooperative learning model type Preview, Question, Read, Recite, Reflect, Review (PQ4R) has a better influence on students' critical thinking skills. This can be seen from the magnitude of       that        is -6.134 > 2.2906. The average of the last test also showed that the experimental class had better critical thinking skills than the control class, which was 81 for the experimental class and 70 for the control class. Based on the observation results on the application of the PQ4R type cooperative learning model in the experimental class at MTs Tarbiyatul Islam Soko, the average student learning activity is in the good category in each indicator, namely 75.69%; 72.74%; 70.65%; 74.65%; 73.09%; and 74.39%. Keywords: PQ4R type Cooperative Learning Model; Students' Critical Thinking Ability

Abstract

Abstract: The covid-19 pandemic causes the need of distance learning. As in offline learning, its learning objectives have to be fulfilled. In the learning process, lesson plan is very important. The aim of this study is to develop the MBKM based lesson plan as the implementation of distance learning. The method of this study is research and development which implements the development model of Thiagarajan that is modified into three stages, namely: define, design, and develop stages. The methods in collecting data are documentations, questionnaires, and achievement tests. Based on the analysis results, the modification of developed learning tools using 4-D model produces MBKM based learning tools which is implemented in the distance learning using Moodle. The learning tools are valid based on the experts and the results of pretest that show the positive responses on learning and the achievement results that fulfilled the criteria of validity, reliability, and sensitivity test items.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the direction in curriculum and mathematics learning model which were implemented in inclusive school. This study used Systematic Literature Review by selecting scientific articles published in 1990 – 2024 and categorizing them based on the curriculum and mathematics learning model. This study implemented PRISMA method. The data was collected using the official sites of Science Direct, Sinta, ResearchGate, and Garuda. The data was filtered using keywords of curriculum and mathematics learning model in inclusive education. Based on 21 national articles and 7 international articles which discussed the curriculum of inclusive school, there were 5 types of curriculum, namely 1) the Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) curriculum that was equaled with differentiated regular class curriculum; 2) the curriculum was equaled with general children’ curriculum; 3) Merdeka Curriculum; 4) modified curriculum; 5) National curriculum which was integrated with spiritual and akhlaqul kharimah education. In addition, the modes used in mathematics learning which were stated in 17 articles lead to 7 learning models, namely 1) differentiated learning model; 2) modified learning model with direct instruction and/or curricular design; 3) thematic approach; 4) scientific approach; 5) providing additional explanation as reinforcement; 6) joining regular students; 7) empirical approach and theoretical perspective. Based on 17 articles, there were 6 articles which discussed about differentiated learning model. Moreover, 11 articles discussed another learning models. It could be concluded that the direction in curriculum of inclusive school was dominant in implementing modified curriculum and differentiated learning model.

Abstract

This article presents an experimental study conducted to examine the impact of a research-based learning (RBL) approach based on a digital learning environment (DLE) on the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) proficiency and creative thinking abilities of prospective mathematics teachers. The study aims to prepare these teachers for the Society 5.0 era and support the government's educational initiatives. The researchers integrated a DLE consisting of an integrated website with a Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle, which included e-modules, quizzes, and other resources. The study also emphasizes the importance of character development and the need for teachers to possess strong TPACK knowledge and creative thinking skills. The TPACK framework, which encompasses pedagogical content knowledge, technological pedagogical knowledge, technological content knowledge, and technological pedagogical content knowledge, is considered crucial for effective technology integration in teaching. The researchers conducted a quasi-experimental study using a 3 x 3 factorial design to investigate the influence of different instructional models on TPACK capabilities among students at different stages of creative thinking skills. The study collected data through documentation, observation, interviews, and tests. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and post-hoc multiple comparisons. The findings of the study contribute to the advancement of education and align with the goals of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative, emphasizing innovation, collaboration, and sustainable practices in education.
