Abstract

The purposes of this research were known linguistics feature in introduction section written by lecturers on Journal Scientific and Applied Informatic and Journal of Technopreneurship and Informatin System. Linguistics feature by Wjiayanti [et.al] (2013) in Penulisan dan Penyajian Karya Ilmiah book : Konjungsi, kalimat aktif dan kalimat pasif. The reseacher found that in the lecturers’ introduction section on Journal Scientific and Applied Informatic and Journal of Technopreneurship and Informatin System were used linguistics feature by Wijayanti [et.al] (2013) in Penulisan dan Penyajian Karya Ilmiah book, namely konjungsi (dan, karena, sehinngga, oleh karena itu, and bahwa), kalimat aktif and kalimat pasif.Keywords       : Linguistics feature, introduction section.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on students' ability to use E- Learning. This research uses descriptive quantitative case study method that is used to get a picture of students' ability to use E-Learning. In this study, the respondents were 30 students, and gave them a multiple-choice test. The results of this study indicate that the ability of students to use E Learning is sufficient, but there are some problems in using E-Learning cannot be accessed on certain Wi-Fi, and then the E-Learning web is often error. Therefore, it can be concluded that students already have the ability to use E-Learning KELAS KITO, but on the other hand, students also find some problems that exist in the E-Learning.Keywords: Corona Virus, Online Learning, E-Learning KELAS KITO

Abstract

This research aimed to describe how the students’ perception of asynchronous in English learning during covid-19 pandemic in English study program in Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu. This study used quantitative descriptive research. The subject of the research was the students who followed the Subject of Speaking for Debate of English Education Program of Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu. The instrument of this research was using the questionnaire. The result shows that the students’ perception of asynchronous learning helped the researchers to develop understanding to present the data to support the problem solving learning activities. During the covid-19 pandemic, asynchronous learning is not effective to be used because the teaching method, media and learning activities were consider inefficient. There are many problems when the conducting the online learning process. In asynchronous learning system, the experiences were a lot of constraints such as the teacher should be able to teach by the distances that must be used the technology. The teacher also must be ready to design learning models and teaching materials and the media. In the other hand, it is hoped that asynchronous learning can be applied in this pandemic era. Keywords: Students’ Perception, Asynchronous Learning, Pandemic Era.

Abstract

Classroom languages is language expressions used for communication between teacher and students in teaching learning process. Therefore the application of classroom language is important in teaching learning process for making habits in using English interaction in classroom. The aim of this study was to know about how the classroom language used by student teachers who took microteaching class and the most dominant categories of clasroom language used by student teachers. The design of this research was descriptive qualitative research, while the main instrument was the table analysis. The result showed that the classroom langauge used by student teachers was an excellent category with the total 92%, because the student teachers have been used 8 categories of classroom language. The most dominant categories of classroom language is simple intruction because easy to say and they have been made concept to teaching process. Abstract

This descriptive research was aimed to describe how the Character Education implemented by English teachers at SMAN 3 Bengkulu Utara and to find out how the teacher solve the problems during the implementation. The subjects of the research were three English teachers who teach EFL classroom at SMAN 3 Bengkulu Utara. The researcher used observation checklist to obtain the data. There were two findings of this research; (1) There were five aspects of character education implemented by English teachers in teaching English at SMAN 3 Bengkulu Utara namely; religious, nationalism, integrity, independent, and mutual cooperation. However, there were two aspects which were not implemented by all teacher, they were religious and mutual cooperation with percentage less than one hundred percent. (2) There were three ways to solve the problems during the implementation; trying to implement the character education in many chances not only in the classroom but also out of the class, asking the students’ parents to participate in the implementation of character education while the students at home, and asking the students to always become a good person wherever they go and keep in mind that “something good brings goodness”. Abstract

The objective of the research was to find out the personal problem encountered by English Students in graduation on Time at Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu. The design of this research was descriptive method. The instrument of the research was questionnaire. The questionnaire was based on based on Dieters (2013) about factors of the Personal Problem Encountered by English Students In Graduation on Time. The result showed that from six factors of the students problem to graduate on time, they are: Students Experience, Program Choice, Social Environment, Demands of the Program, Financial Consideration, Instutional Factors there are three factors that affect the students problem to graduate on time, they are, demands of the program, program choice and students experience. From the result, the researcher will give suggestion for the students: It is suggested the students have to have high motivation to finish their study and graduation on time because when the students have high motivation it can make them be active to learn. The students also have to try be brave to communicate and ask something about material or thesis with their lecturer. Key words: Graduation, Students Problem to Graduate on time
