Abstract

This study aims to find out how the review of the implementation of the contract on savings plans with pilgrimage portion measures from the perspective of DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 86/DSN-MUI/XII/2012 concerning Prizes in Funding for Islamic Financial Institutions and DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 29/DSNMUI/VI/2002 concerning Financing for Pilgrimage Management of Islamic Financial Institutions. This qualitative research uses research with a case study approach. The data used is primary data that is obtained from interviews. Secondary data was obtained in the form of brochures and circulars of saving plans with pilgrimage portion prizes. The results found that the implementations of the pilgrimage portion prize savings plan were in line with the the light of fatwa, yet there were several provisions were inappropriate, first, on the prizes where the bank in implementing the gift has been agreed at the beginning, namely in the form of a portion of the pilgrimage. Seccond, on the method of giving gifts should not be customary (habit or 'urf) but savings plans with prizes for the pilgrimage portion have been implemented since the end of 2018 until now. Meanwhile, the implementation of the contract in the savings plan with prizes of pilgrimage portion were less conformity with the fatwa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the role of BAZNAS in the implementation of the program for MSMEs: A Case Study on BAZNAS Microfinance in Sawojajar Village, Malang. Baznas Microfinance in Sawojajar Village itself has helped mustahik in developing their business and is also free from moneylenders with business capital problems which are obstacles for micro business actors. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used are data collection in the form of interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this research is using data collection, data condensation, data presentation and verification/conclusion. The results of this study indicate that with this program being able to maintain their business during the pandemic, there are even some MSMEs that experienced an increase in turnover during the pandemic after being assisted by BAZNAS. So, by showing a progress, growth, evolution and an increase from what has been planned. In implementing its program, BAZNAS Microfinance in Sawojajar Village has implemented it for mustahik by helping those affected by this pandemic to develop their business and increase sales turnover so that it is helped in the family economy

Abstract

The strategy for collecting and distributing zakat, infaq, and shodaqoh funds is important and implemented properly. Especially in areas such as Malang Raya which has the highest number of muzakki in East Java. The purpose of this study is to conduct an in-depth analysis of the strategy for collecting and distributing zakat, infaq, and shodaqoh funds (ZIS) at the Amil Zakat Institute (LAZ) Sahabat Mustahiq Malang. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this study are data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that there are two kinds of strategies in raising funds, namely direct and indirect. Direct is a strategy that is carried out directly between amil zakat institutions and muzakki or donors. Direct activities in the form of direct mail via whatsapp, direct meetings with potential muzakki, zakat outlets and portfolios. The indirect strategy is a strategy that is carried out indirectly between amil zakat institutions and muzakki or donors. Indirect activities are in the form of collaborating with other LAZ institutions, agencies or institutions, activating social media, magazines, websites, digital platforms and through Friends of Inspirational Action (SAINS) volunteers. In the strategy for distributing zakat, infaq, shodaqoh funds at LAZ Sahabat Mustahiq Malang, there is a pattern of distribution of zakat infaq shodaqoh funds, namely traditional consumptive, creative consumptive, traditional productive, creative productive but in the distribution of infaq and shodaqoh zakat funds to 8 asnaf that have been listed in the Qur'an 'an, LAZ Sahabat Mustahiq Malang prioritizes fakir, poor, zakat manager, sabilillah and ibn sabil only.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in several negative socio-economic impacts, including an increase in poverty rates and also a high level of exposure to and deaths cases. This paper aims to conduct an in-depth analysis related to dinamism in the interpretation of  the recipient group of zakat (asnaf tsamaniyah) to solve the socio-economics problem caused by covid-19 in Indonesia. This study was qualitative with documentation as method of collecting data, the data analysed by content analysis approach by Miles and Huberman. The result found that dinamism in the interpretation of  the recipient group of zakat to solve the socio-economics problem caused by covid-19 in Indonesia laid down by focusing on the poor and needy (fakir miskin) than other group of zakah recipient because the increase of poverty levels due to high dismissals and declining levels of public purchasing which caused to bankrupt. On the other hand, there is a new interpretation based on the fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council, that the allocation of zakat funds for the need for personal protective equipment for the prevention of Covid-19 such as hand-sanitizers and masks can be included in the category of recipients of zakat funds fi sabilillah.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The aim of this activity is to provide literacy regarding halal certification which can be done by self-declaration to MSMEs in Malang City. Methodology: There are five stages in this service, namely the preliminary stage to identify the main problems; observation stage to deepen devotion; analysis stage to determine service steps; implementation and execution level; and data evaluation and analysis level. Main Findings: Service participants follow the process according to the specified method. The service runs smoothly with several MSMEs fostered by partners who are committed to being willing to take care of their halal certification. Applications of this study: This service is useful for Malang City MSMEs who do not yet know the halal self-declaration certification process Novelty/Originality of this study: Increasing halal certification literacy among MSMEs in Malang City

Abstract

This study aims to describe Puskas BAZNAS' Strategy in Improving Zakat Literacy in Society. The type of research used is qualitative with a case study approach. The data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data collection was obtained from interviews and documentation. While secondary data is in the form of magazines, journals and literature related to Zakat Literacy. This study uses the data validation technique of the triangulation model. The results of the study show that Puskas BAZNAS strategy is quite good and quite effective in increasing community zakat literacy. Evidenced by the significant increase in zakat literacy in society, namely basic understanding increased by 6.8 points, advanced understanding increased by 11.6 points and the average ILZ in 2022 was 8.48 points higher than in 2020 and is also in line with increased literacy community zakat, receipt of zakat funds has also increased from 2019-2022.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to conduct an in-depth analysis of the LAZISMU fundraising strategy in Batu City. In this research, the researcher uses descriptive qualitative method so that it can describe what kind of fundraising strategy used by LAZISMU Batu City. The conclusion of this study shows that LAZISMU Batu City has two patterns in its fundraising strategy, namely, raising funds through available sources and raising funds by creating new funding sources. Fundraising on available sources by institutions uses methods such as identification of muzakki, use of direct and indirect fundraising methods, safeguarding and management of muzakki, as well as monitoring and evaluation. Raising by creating new funding sources is carried out through PPOB services in the form of bill payment service providers such as water, electricity, wifi, and others.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of knowledge of fatwa, the knowledge of coronavirus disease, and family factors on student compliance with social distancing policies to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia. This study was quantitative and the data were collected through questionnaires distributed via google forms. The data were collected from 426 respondents who were students of private and public Universities in Indonesia. The tool of analysis used in this study was the Partial Least Square (PLS) method, a variance-based structural equation analysis (SEM) that can simultaneously perform the measurement and structural model testing. The study found that there was a significant influence of the family factors on the compliance of students with social distancing policies. While there was no significant influence of the knowledge of fatwa and Covid-19 variables on student compliance with social distancing. The results of this study contribute to enriching the discourse of the role of religious and social factors on student compliance with social distancing policy to reduce the spread of Covid-19

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a type of work that is very interesting and challenging with lots of competition. However, in order to become a successful entrepreneur, some capital and skills are required. This study aims to find out the skills that entrepreneurs need to have in starting a business in Hamka's work entitled Lembaga Budi. Primary and secondary data were collected from Hamka's works and other works that have a focus relevant to this research. The data collected was analyzed using content data analysis, namely by combining topics relevant to entrepreneurship. The results of this study reveal, according to Hamka, that to become a successful entrepreneur, at least several important things are needed, namely: knowledge related to entrepreneurship, self-confidence, great will, work and time planning, focus on the company or job, the role of government in the entrepreneurial sector, the importance maintaining trust, maintaining product or service quality, conducting market research, promotion strategies and excellent service to customers. The results of this study contribute to enriching discourse in entrepreneurship, especially in Islamic entrepreneurship and the role of ethics in business.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of transparency and accountability of financial reports on muzakki’s trust in the Amil Zakat Institution, Ash-Shohwah Malang Social Charity Foundation. The method in this research uses a quantitative by applying a questionnaire to 100 respondents who are permanent muzakki from 2020-2023 at the Amil Zakat Institute, Ash-Shohwah Social Charity Foundation Malang. The sample od this study was purposive sampling and hypothesis testing and analysing by the SmartPLS 4.0 tool. The results found that the transparency variable had a significant effect on muzakki's trust in the Amil Zakat Institution, Ash Shohwah Social Charity Foundation, Malang. The accountability variable has a significant effect on muzakki's trust in the Amil Zakat Institution, Ash Shohwah Social Charity Foundation, Malang. This study contribute to the cooperation between zakat management institutions, educational institutions, and stakeholders to increase the willingness to pay for zakat donator to zakat institutions.
