Abstract

This research aims to test whether there is a difference in the learning outcomes of students who use the Contextual Teaching And Learning Model with the Doratoon Animation Powerpoint with the learning outcomes of students who use the Contextual Teaching And Learning Model with the Powtoon Animation Powerpoint on the Reaction Rate learning material, and to assess whether learning motivation students who use the Contextual Teaching And Learning Model with Doratoon Animation power points compared to the learning motivation of students who use the Contextual Teaching And Learning Model with Powtoon Animation power points on Reaction Rate learning materials and aims to find out whether there is interaction between models and media on students' final motivation in determining student learning outcomes in reaction rate learning material in class XI Science at SMA Negeri 1 Binjai - Langkat. The samples used were two classes selected by random sampling and classes XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 3 were selected. Hypothesis testing was carried out in two ways, namely the paired t test and the one way anova test. In the hypothesis test, the value of learning outcomes obtained a sig value of 0.001 < α= 0.05 so that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, so it was proven that learning outcomes were higher in classes that used the contextual teaching and learning model with Doratoon animated power point media. In terms of motivation, a significance value of 0.049 is produced, which is smaller than α= 0.05, so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, which shows that learning motivation is higher in classes taught using the contextual teaching and learning model with Doratoon animated power point media. In the interaction test, a sig.nificance value of 0.004 was obtained, which indicates a value < of α= 0.05 so that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, so there is an interaction between the model and the media on students' final motivation in the reaction rate material.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest rubber producers. Almost all garden latex for rubber production must be coagulated before further processing. Research has been carried out on the comparison of acetic acid with formic acid as a latex coagulation agent. This study aims to compare acetic acid with formic acid as a latex coagulation agent. Coconut shell charcoal (particle size 80 mesh) was added to the latex with a weight of 42 grams then the latex was coagulated with acetic acid and formic acid with a pH of 4.7. As a rubber quality research was carried out by measuring the initial plasticity, plasticity retention index and mooney viscosity of rubber. In conclusion, latex coagulated with acetic acid produced better rubber than latex coagulated with formic acid.

Abstract

Air bersih sangat dibutuhkan masyarakat terutama warga di Desa Wonosari. Warga terus menggunakan air yang tidak sehat untuk kebutuhan rumah tangga karena keterbatasan pengetahuan, sarana, prasarana dan ekonomi,. Oleh karena itu, masyarakat sangat perlu diberi pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengolahan air bersih. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) dalam mengolah Air Bersih di Desa wonosari bertujuan untuk: 1) memberikan keterampilan dalam proses mengolah air bersih, 2). meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang air bersih. Tujuan tersebut dicapai dengan kegiatan pelatihan, dan penerapan teknologi tepat guna untuk mengolah air bersih. Hasil yang dicapai adalah: 1) mitra telah memiliki ketrampilan dalam mengolahan air bersih untuk rumah tangga 2) .meningkatnya pengetahuan mitra tentang pentinganya air bersih bagi Kesehatan

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how using the Discovery Learning paradigm affects the general science abilities of eleventh-grade students studying thermochemistry at MAN Asahan. 34 students make up the sample size for this one-group pretest–posttest research design. Multiple-choice questions based on six measures of general science skills and observation sheets were used to collect data. Expertise have confirmed the research equipment, and the KR-20 dependability test yielded a very high criteria. Because the data did not have a normal distribution, N-Gain and the Wilcoxon test were used for data analysis. The average student score increased from 63.62 on the pretest to 85.29 on the posttest, according to the research findings, with an N-Gain value of 0.54 (medium criteria). The concept-building indicator was the most improved of all the generic science skill indicators. It is clear from the Wilcoxon test results that there is a significant difference (p < 0.05) between the pretest and posttest that the Discovery Learning model significantly affects students' general science skills and is highly successful in improving comprehension and scientific thinking abilities.
