Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of research on the effectiveness of illustrated story media in improving the speaking skills of elementary school students. The background of this research is to describe and want to know the effectiveness of illustrated story media to teach speaking skills to students in elementary schools. This research uses literature study research. The data obtained by the research are journals, reports, articles, and relevant documents that are in accordance with the problems studied. Based on the results of the data analysis conducted by the researchers, a result was obtained, namely the illustrated story media is an effective medium to teach speaking skills possessed by students in elementary schools. With the media picture story, students can improve their speaking skills.

Abstract

Learning in elementary schools is still experiencing problems such as teachers who still have difficulty in choosing and implementing innovative learning models. This study aims to describe the concept of the ARCS type cooperative learning model (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction) according to John M. Keller and to describe the relevance of the ARCS type cooperative learning model in understanding the concepts of elementary school students. This research uses a qualitative descriptive study approach with the type of library research. Sources of data in this study were obtained from books, research journals, and literature books. The analysis technique of this research uses descriptive analysis method. The results of this study indicate that the concept of cooperative learning model is a learning model that is carried out by forming small groups to learn. The ARCS type of cooperative learning model has relevance in improving students' conceptual understanding in all learning competencies in elementary schools, both in learning science or natural sciences (IPA), mathematics, and social sciences (IPS).

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of parental attention on the learning motivation of fifth grade students at an elementary school. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative research method. The instrument used for data collection is the parental attention questionnaire instrument and the learning motivation questionnaire in the form of a google form. Based on the results of calculations, From the results of the questionnaire and student scores, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between parents' attention to student learning motivation, this is evidenced by the results of the correlation test with the results of r arithmetic getting 0.472 while r table getting 0.344 so that the interpretation of the correlation test is r count (0.472 ) > from r table(0,344). So with this Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted and Sig.2-tailed <0.05 so it can be concluded that there is indeed a significant relationship between parental attention and learning motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find how much the influence storytelling method for speaking skills of elementary school 01 Waru Sidoarjo inter class. The kind of the study use quantitative of kind pre-experimental with one grup desain of pretest-posttest. the sampling technique in this study use purposive sampling technique with certain considerations, which use all members of the population as a sample of 25 students inter A class. the data collection methods are descriptive statistic and analysis prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing. The results of students analysis are speaking skills before using the storytelling method is in the medium category. Furthermore, the T test was compare with a 5% significance level of 1.7081. Then it can be concluded that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. While the calculation of the level influence obtained 0,91 results which means that there is a large influence in the study, because eta square is 0,91 > 0,41. These results illustrate that the speaking skills of students in class 3 are influenced by using the storytelling method in grade 3 elementary school at Bangah 01 Waru Sidoarjo.

Abstract

The research used is descriptive qualitive research. Aims to knowing the value of dicipline character in grade 4a students at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. Technique data collection using interview techniques, observation, and documentation with analytical techniques data 1) data reduction 2) data presentation 3) drawing conclusions that are tested for the validity of the data by using sourch triangulation. The results showed that the application of students discipline character values had been realized through the rules and habits of students carried out at school with various activities in the form of 1) routine activities 2) spontaneous activities 3) conditioning activities and 4) exemplary activities. In these activities, grade 4A students’ can run implementation of the four aspects compiled by researchers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the difficulties of elementary school students in writing poetry and to describe the factors of the difficulties of elementary school students in writing poetry. This study describes descriptively the difficulties of students in writing poetry. The method of data collection in the core research is carried out by means of a literature study method that has been studied and analyzed by the researchers themselves. The results obtained from this study are that students have difficulty determining the title/idea or theme in writing poetry, students have difficulty making rhythmic words, students have difficulty making imaginative sentences, students have difficulty making diction words or sentences. Meanwhile, the factors that make it difficult for students to write poetry are external factors, namely the teacher has not used innovative learning strategies, approaches, models and methods, and, the teacher has not used innovative learning media.

Abstract

This research is based on field results that the tolerance character of class VI students at SDN Tulungrejo 04, Wates District, Blitar Regency has not been maximized. The purpose of this study was to describe the teacher's efforts in instilling the tolerance character of sixth grade students at SDN Tulungrejo 04, Wates District, Blitar Regency and to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in instilling the tolerance character of sixth grade students at SDN Tulungrejo 04 Wates District, Blitar Regency. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model field analysis. The results showed that efforts to cultivate the character of tolerance were carried out by inviting students to respect each other with all parties and pray according to their respective beliefs. The results also show that the supporting factors in instilling the character of tolerance in students are students' willingness, coordination between teachers and students, and the existence of rules from the school to instill tolerance in students. While the inhibiting factor in efforts to cultivate the character of tolerance in students is the willingness of students and the nature of students who differ from one student to another. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze how the process of applying independent character in student learning during the COVID-19 era at SDN Entalsewu. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The source of data in this study is the theory of primary data obtained from the results of research that has been carried out by researchers in the field. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the application of independent character in student learning goes well, although there are obstacles regarding the lack of consistency of parents.

Abstract

This research addresses the issue of passive student engagement and teacher-centered learning approaches in primary schools. To overcome these challenges, the study employs Microsoft PowerPoint as an instructional medium to enhance the learning experience. A Pre-Experimental Design research method is employed, conducted at SD Negeri Pejangkungan with thirty fourth-grade students as participants. Data collection involves the use of tests, and the obtained results are subjected to t-test analysis. The findings reveal a significant positive impact of utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint media on students' civics learning outcomes, as indicated by tcount (24.686) exceeding ttable (2.045). Additionally, eta squared analysis demonstrates a considerable influence of Microsoft PowerPoint media on learning outcomes (0.95>0.14). These results emphasize the potential of Microsoft PowerPoint as an effective tool to promote active learning and enhance students' academic achievements in various educational settings. Highlights: Active Engagement: This research explores the use of Microsoft PowerPoint as a means to promote active learning among elementary students, addressing the issue of passive student engagement in the classroom. Academic Improvement: The study investigates the impact of utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint on students' academic performance, specifically focusing on civics education, to determine the effectiveness of this instructional medium. Experimental Design: The research employs a Pre-Experimental Design methodology, conducted at SD Negeri Pejangkungan with fourth-grade students, to gather data through tests and analyze the outcomes using statistical measures such as t-tests and eta squared. Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers during the learning process to form the independent character of Grade 1 students at SDN Pejangkungan Prambon. This study uses a qualitative approach phenomenology, where the background in the phenomenon or the fact that in Grade 1 SDN Pejangkungan Prambon there are students who experience problems related to independent character. In every learning process there are still many students who have not been able to do it themselves and still rely on teachers. Therefore, researchers want to examine whether there is a role of teachers during the learning process to form the independent character of students. For this study using trisngulasi technique is taken from observation data, interviews and documentation of teachers in Grade 1 SDN Pejangkungan. And from the results of research that researchers get that teachers play a good role as educators, teachers, and mentors in forming independent character student. Highlights: Teachers as Role Models: The study highlights the vital role of teachers in serving as positive role models for Grade 1 students, influencing their development of independent character. Fostering Autonomy: The research emphasizes the importance of the learning process in nurturing students' autonomy and self-reliance, with teachers playing a significant role in guiding and empowering them. Triangulation Approach: By utilizing triangulation techniques through observation data, interviews, and documentation, the study provides a comprehensive understanding of how teachers contribute to the formation of independent character in Grade 1 students at SDN Pejangkungan.
