Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan yang menunjukkan kurangnya minat untuk anak-anak TK dalam mengkonsumsi ikan laut karena sebagian besar alasannya rasanya terkesan amis dan juga ada yang beberapa siswa yang alergi gatal dll. Selain itu kurangnya pendorong dalam edukasi mengkonsumsi ikan laut juga menjadi permasalahan pada mitra, sehingga perlunya sosialisasi terkait kandungan ikan laut diadakan pada TK Aisiyah Bustanul Athfal 1 Dadapan Banyuwangi agar semua pihak lebih sadar untuk gemar konsumsi ikan laut. Permasalahan terakhir yakni belum ada program gemar makan ikan hanya program makan sehat saja, sehingga perlu ditingkatkan menjadi program Gemarikan agar bisa meningkatkan konsumsi ikan laut dan menjadi TK percontohan yang telah melakukan program Gemarikan. Adapun tujuan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk memberikan edukasi kepada guru, orang tua walimurid TK untuk lebih sadar dan berinovasi dalam mengolah ikan laut agar anak-anak menyukai konsumsi ikan laut karena manfaat ikan laut yang mengandung omega 3 yang baik untuk perkembangan otak anak usia dini. Berdasarkan dari hasil kegiatan yang telah dilakukan ini yakni program GEMARIKAN sangat dibutuhkan untuk anak usia dini dengan memberikan edukasi kepada guru, walimurid dan mencontohkan atau mempraktekkan secara langsung untuk mengkonsumsi ikan laut. Setelah kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (Gemarikan) ini diharapkan dengan membuat program gemar ikan yang mewajibkan mengkonsumsi laut kepada murid-murid TK Aisiyah Bustanul Athfal 1 Dadapan Banyuwangi. Program wajib mengkonsumsi laut dilakukan satu bulan satu kali oleh murid-murid TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 1 Dadapan Banyuwangi dengan cara makan bersama-sama dikelas.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the existence of da'wah values ​​among Generation Z through the use of social media in Glenmore District, Banyuwangi Regency. Generation Z, which is a group that predominantly uses digital technology, often interacts with Islamic preaching values ​​through platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. This research is based on the importance of understanding how social media facilitates the spread of da'wah values ​​in contexts that are relevant to the younger generation. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and content analysis of preaching posts spread on social media. The research results show that Generation Z in Glenmore District shows a high level of participation in receiving and spreading da'wah messages through social media. They use this platform not only for social interaction but also as a means to strengthen their religious identity. This research provides in-depth insight into how social media can be an effective tool in maintaining and developing religious practices among the younger generation, especially in local contexts such as Glenmore District, Banyuwangi Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of English language proficiency, particularly TOEFL scores, in enhancing employment opportunities in the global industrial sector. Globalisation has driven major changes in the way companies operate, and English is now an international language used not only in everyday communication but also in business transactions, negotiations, and strategic decision-making. Along with this development, mastery of English has become one of the main requirements in the recruitment process of many international companies, especially those with operations in various countries. In the global industrial sector, multinational companies look for employees who can communicate well in English as they interact with various parties from different parts of the world. Therefore, good English proficiency, as measured through TOEFL scores, is considered an indicator of an individual's ability to adapt and work effectively in a multinational work environment. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with 25 professionals working in multinational companies operating in various industry sectors, such as technology, finance, and manufacturing. The results show that TOEFL scores are not only used as a parameter in job selection, but also as an important indicator in the assessment of communication skills required in cross-national and cultural interactions. Respondents revealed that a good command of English, as evidenced by a high TOEFL score, opens up more career opportunities, including the chance to get higher positions, greater responsibility, and more competitive salaries. Therefore, this study provides recommendations for individuals to further emphasise mastery of English through the TOEFL test as an effort to increase competitiveness in the global job market, as well as for educational institutions and companies to make more use of TOEFL scores in assessing the qualifications of prospective employees.

Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Indonesia creates a learning environment that is dynamic and responsive to technological developments. The research aims to improve the quality of English learning at SMAN Banyuwangi through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) animations. By utilizing this innovative technology, it is hoped that it can create a more interesting and effective learning experience for students. This research applies descriptive qualitative methods. Data sources involve the Deputy Principal, teachers and students, with data collection through interviews, observations and analysis of related documents. Interviews provide direct views, observations understand daily practices, and document analysis supports understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum policy. Qualitative analysis uses a thematic analysis approach to identify patterns, themes and relationships from interview data, observations and documents. The results show increased material absorption, leveraging an innovative AI animation approach to improve understanding of difficult concepts visually and increase student engagement, creating a dynamic and collaborative learning environment. Overall, the integration of AI technology, especially English animation, makes a significant contribution to the learning experience at SMAN Banyuwan.

Abstract

The rapid changes in science and technology require us to be ready to face changes in the world, especially in the field of education. Society 5.0 is a human being who can solve various challenges and social problems by utilizing various innovations born in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and centered on technology. Society 5.0 is a development of the industrial revolution 4.0. The data analysis technique used is the Miles & Huberman method with an interactive model. In addition, data collection is obtained from the review process of scientific journals obtained from literature such as scientific journals, books, essays, and other print media that are in accordance with the topic being studied. Learning media that can be developed in preparing educators to face the challenges of the era of society 5.0 is to prepare learning media to make new innovations in utilizing technology as a learning medium. To realize or prepare for society 5.0 in the field of education, it is not enough for students to only understand or be given theory. Abstract

Kebutuhan akan inovasi metode pembelajaran bahasa yang mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan, pemahaman, dan retensi siswa, terutama di tengah tantangan pembelajaran konvensional dan keterbatasan fasilitas teknologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan siswa, serta analisis produk belajar siswa (hasil Mind Mapping). Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk mengimplementasikan dan mengevaluasi efektivitas metode Mind Mapping yang terintegrasi dengan TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) dalam pembelajaran bahasa pada siswa SMA NU Gombengsari Kalipuro Banyuwangi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap awal, siswa mengalami sedikit kesulitan adaptasi terhadap Mind Mapping, namun setelah bimbingan dan praktik berulang, mereka mampu memanfaatkan metode ini secara efektif untuk memvisualisasikan dan mengorganisasi materi, seperti terlihat dari peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan retensi kosakata. Integrasi TPACK juga berjalan baik; meskipun fasilitas teknologi terbatas, guru menunjukkan inisiatif tinggi dalam menggunakan proyektor dan aplikasi sederhana untuk memperkaya penyampaian materi, yang membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik dan interaktif. Respons siswa secara umum sangat positif dan antusias, mereka merasa pembelajaran menjadi lebih menyenangkan, mudah dipahami, dan relevan. Simpulannya, implementasi kombinasi metode Mind Mapping dan TPACK berhasil menciptakan lingkungan belajar bahasa yang lebih dinamis dan efektif, dengan potensi besar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah tersebut, meskipun perlu peningkatan dukungan infrastruktur teknologi di masa mendatang.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has changed marketing strategies worldwide, including in Indonesia. One growing trend is the use of live streaming, which has become an effective tool for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This study explores how English is strategically used in live-streamed sales to support Banyuwangi’s traditional batik MSMEs. Using a mixed methods approach, the research combines qualitative analysis of language use and quantitative evaluation of marketing performance. Data were collected through observing live streaming sessions, interviewing business owners and hosts, and analyzing engagement and sales metrics. The results show that English phrases such as “limited offer,” “buy one get one,” and “check out now” are used to build urgency and emotional connection. The use of both English and Indonesian (code-switching) helps increase audience engagement, improves brand image, and adds a sense of professionalism. Quantitative findings indicate a 17–24% increase in sales within 24 hours after sessions using mixed language strategies. However, some hosts face challenges such as mispronunciation and lack of confidence, suggesting the need for practical English training. This study concludes that English is not only a communication tool but also a symbol of modern branding and global readiness. The findings provide useful insights for empowering MSMEs and contribute to business linguistics, emphasizing the importance of language in digital marketing.

Abstract

English plays a strategic role in improving the competitiveness of the local creative economy, especially amidst the increasingly complex challenges of globalization. Banyuwangi, as one of the centers of the creative economy in Indonesia, requires an effective English learning strategy to empower local business actors in facing global competition. This study aims to identify innovative approaches that can support the improvement of the English language skills of creative economy actors in the region. Using a qualitative approach, this study explores relevant learning methods, data collection techniques, and data analysis based on modern language education theory. The findings show that community-based learning provides a collaborative space for creative economy actors to learn collectively, increase motivation, and strengthen their English language skills. In addition, the use of digital technology, such as online learning applications and interactive video platforms, provides greater flexibility and access to students. This is in line with the technology-based learning trend proposed by modern educational theory. Integration of local culture is also one of the leading strategies in English learning in Banyuwangi. By utilizing local cultural elements, such as folklore, traditional arts, and local wisdom, the learning process becomes more relevant and interesting. This study provides recommendations for local governments and educational institutions to develop English education policies that support the growth of the local creative economy, improve people's language skills, and expand Banyuwangi's global competitiveness.

Abstract

Di tengah kemajuan dunia pemasaran digital yang terus berlanjut, peran media sosial sebagai platform pemasaran yang efektif semakin menjadi penting, khususnya bagi Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Dalam menghadapi tantangan tersebut, penting bagi UMKM untuk memiliki sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan era digital. Penelitian ini mengkaji urgensi pengembangan sumber daya manusia dalam konteks pemasaran digital, khususnya untuk memajukan sektor UMKM di ranah media sosial. Fokus penelitian ini adalah mempertimbangkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan karyawan UMKM dalam menggunakan media sosial sebagai alat pemasaran yang efektif. Dengan menerapkan strategi pengembangan SDM yang tepat, UMKM berpeluang memperoleh manfaat yang signifikan, antara lain peningkatan kreativitas, adaptasi terhadap perubahan tren, dan kemampuan bersaing di era pemasaran digital yang semakin kompetitif. Dalam konteks pengembangan sumber daya manusia di era pemasaran digital untuk meningkatkan kinerja sektor UMKM, pentingnya pelatihan khusus dan akses terhadap informasi dan sumber daya terkini menjadi strategi utama yang harus diterapkan.

Abstract

The optimization of technology in English learning based on the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework plays a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness and engagement of language education. This study examines the implementation of TPACK-based technology in English learning, identifying both its benefits and challenges. The findings indicate that integrating digital tools, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), interactive applications, and adaptive learning software, positively impacts learning quality by increasing accessibility, student motivation, and active participation. However, several obstacles persist, including limited technological infrastructure, insufficient lecturer competence, and a lack of interactive digital learning materials. To address these challenges, this study recommends targeted optimization strategies, including professional development programs for lecturers, improved technology infrastructure, the adoption of a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy, and the development of engaging digital content. Furthermore, a differentiated learning approach utilizing adaptive technology is essential to accommodate students’ diverse learning preferences. The study highlights the need for continued research on the long-term effectiveness of TPACK-based technology integration and its impact on students' communication skills in English. By implementing these strategies, English learning can become more innovative, interactive, and aligned with modern educational demands.
