Abstract

Stunting is a serious threat to the future generation of Indonesia. Stunting is a growth and development disorder resulting from chronic malnutrition and recurring infections. Posyandu is the front line in efforts to prevent stunting because it involves measuring growth and development. The aim of this Community Service (PKM) is to address stunting through e-counseling with an inclusive approach to promote and support the participation of people with disabilities and their access to healthcare services. It is expected that this PKM will contribute to the sustainability of community-based health programs that are inclusive. From the PKM conducted, various characteristics of the cadres were identified, including those who areve. E-counseling is conducted both offline and online. The offline e-counseling activities for cadres proceeded smoothly, with all participants enthusiastically participating in every training process. One of the cadres is inclusive. There was an increase in knowledge by 6 points. The offline e-counseling activities for mothers with stunted toddlers went well. The online e-counseling activities for one month also went well, although one participant experienced signal issues.

Abstract

Angka stunting di Indonesia terus menurun namun hingga saat ini belum mencapai target nasional. Stunting merupakan kondisi gagal tumbuh pada anak usia bawah lima tahun akibat kekurangan gizi kronis, terutama pada seribu hari pertama kehidupannya. Hasil survey awal menunjukkan bahwa di Desa Hulosobo Kecamatan Kaligesing Kabupaten Purworejo merupakan salah satu daerah fokus penanganan stunting di Purworejo. Di Desa Hulosobo terdapat 39 balita, diantaranya ada 4 balita yang berada dalam kondisi stunting. Kader Posyandu di Desa Hulosobo terdapat 21 orang dengan 1 kader dengan kondisi difabel. Hasil wawancara dengan beberapa kader kesehatan tentang stunting sudah pernah dilakukan tetapi tentang metode yang belum variasi jadi masih menggunakan metode konvensional terutama dalam pemberian informasi mengenai perilaku menyusui yang efektif. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatan literasi melalui pendampingan kader Posyandu dalam memberikan edukasi pada ibu terutama dalam perilaku menyusui yang efektif. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan monev kepada kader kesehatan dan ibu-ibu dengan anak stunting. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah Hasil pre-test didapatkan nilai rerata 6,7 dan hasil post-test dari kegiatan didapatkan nilai rerata 10 dari skor total 10. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah perlunya meningkatkan pemahaman literasi kader kesehatan dan ibu-ibu di Desa Hulosobo tentang pentingnya pemahaman dalam melakukan perilaku menyusui yang tepat.

Abstract

Introduction: Nursing Law states that nursing students must undergo the National Competency Exam at the end of their education process. Competency testing is a process to assess knowledge, skills, and attitudes in accordance with professional standards. Strategies are needed to help students pass the competency exam. This study aims to determine whether TERBAIC is effective in improving students' self-efficacy.Method: This research is a quasi-experimental study with a post-test only nonequivalent control group design. The population consists of final-year nursing students, and the sample size in this study is 32 for the intervention group and 25 for the control group. Statistical tests used are the Wilcoxon test and Mann-Whitney test.Results: The study results indicate differences in self-efficacy before and after receiving TBL (p-value 0.00), differences in self-efficacy before and after receiving TERBAIC (p-value 0.00), and no significant difference in students' self-efficacy in facing the Indonesian National Competency Exam after receiving TBL and TERBAIC (p-value 0.887).Conclusion: TERBAIC is proven effective in enhancing self-efficacy in facing the Indonesian National Competency Exam.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Stunting masih menjadi masalah kesehatan nasional yang belum terselesaikan. Faktor lingkungan, termasuk pengelolaan sampah dan sanitasi, memiliki kontribusi terhadap kejadian stunting. Petugas pengelola sampah berperan penting dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petugas pengelola sampah mengenai pencegahan infeksi melalui pelatihan personal hygiene, penggunaan APD yang benar, serta penerapan ergonomi kerja dalam mendukung pencegahan stunting berbasis lingkungan sehat. Penyuluhan, pelatihan, demonstrasi, redemonstrasi, dan pendampingan dengan pendekatan Asset Based Community Development (ABCD). Tahapan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan pencegahan infeksi dan ergonomi, pengadaan fasilitas cuci tangan dan APD standar, serta monitoring dan evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan setelah pelatihan. Pada pelatihan pertama mengenai personal hygiene dan APD, nilai rata-rata pengetahuan meningkat dari 90,48% menjadi 100%. Pelatihan kedua mengenai ergonomi kerja menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata dari 82,14% menjadi 100%. Selain itu, fasilitas cuci tangan telah terpasang di area pengelolaan sampah. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan serta kesadaran petugas pengelola sampah terhadap pentingnya personal hygiene, penggunaan APD, dan penerapan ergonomi kerja.  Kata Kunci: Stunting, Pengelolaan Sampah, Personal Hygiene, Alat Pelindung Diri, Ergonomi.  ABSTRACT Stunting remains an unresolved national health issue. Environmental factors, including waste management and sanitation, contribute to the occurrence of stunting. Waste management workers play an important role in maintaining environmental cleanliness. This activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of waste management workers in infection prevention through training on personal hygiene, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and the application of work ergonomics to support stunting prevention based on a healthy environment. The methods used include education, training, demonstration, redemonstration, and mentoring with an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The stages involved socialization, training on infection prevention and ergonomics, provision of handwashing facilities and standard PPE, as well as monitoring and evaluation of the program outcomes. There was an increase in knowledge after the training. In the first training session on personal hygiene and PPE, the average knowledge score increased from 90.48% to 100%. The second training session on work ergonomics showed an average increase from 82.14% to 100%. In addition, handwashing facilities were successfully installed in the waste management area. The training and mentoring activities effectively improved the knowledge and awareness of waste management workers regarding the importance of personal hygiene, PPE use, and the application of ergonomic practices. Keywords: Stunting, Waste Management, Personal Hygiene, Personal Protective Equipment, Ergonomic.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of peer education on adolescent coping strategies and self-efficacy in addressing bullying behaviors within a junior high school context. Focusing on a group of 31 randomly selected students aged 13-15 years, the research employed a pre-experimental design with pre-test and post-test assessments using the Brief Coping Orientation to Problems Experienced (Brief COPE) and the modified General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES). Results revealed a significant improvement in coping skills, with an increase from 23 to 28 students demonstrating effective coping after peer education. Similarly, students classified as having high self-efficacy rose from 20 to 24 following the educational intervention. The findings underscore the positive impact of peer education on adolescent coping and self-efficacy in combating bullying behavior. This study calls for further exploration of factors influencing coping strategies in addressing bullying among adolescents, aiming to enhance intervention approaches and create a supportive school environment. Highlights: Significant Improvement: Peer education demonstrates a substantial positive influence on adolescent coping strategies and self-efficacy in dealing with bullying behavior. Effective Intervention: The study highlights the effectiveness of peer-led education in fostering improved coping mechanisms and self-efficacy among adolescents facing bullying challenges. Enhancing School Environment: Findings emphasize the need to explore and develop factors that influence coping strategies, contributing to the creation of a more supportive and resilient school environment for adolescents.
