Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the influence of creativity and educational support on digital entrepreneurial intentions among Indonesian students. Data was collected through an online survey involving 303 respondents, using a 5-point Likert scale to measure relevant variables. The analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) approach with SmartPLS 3.0. The results show that creativity and educational support significantly influence digital entrepreneurial intentions. Creativity plays a key role in identifying business opportunities, while educational support enhances entrepreneurial skills. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating entrepreneurship education into academic curricula to address the high unemployment rates among university graduates in Indonesia. Adequate support from educational institutions in the form of incubation centers and seed funding is strongly recommended to facilitate the development of digital entrepreneurship among students. This research contributes to theoretical understanding and provides practical implications for entrepreneurship education in the digital era.

Abstract

The decision-making process in a company should be based on a strong foundation. A robust decision-making basis is reflected in a methodology that can be accountable, especially in complex cases. Decision-making involving diverse criteria requires a proper methodology to achieve accurate results. Such issues often occur in small or micro-enterprises (SMEs). This study focused on plywood processing companies. The issue at hand was the absence of a standardized method for determining the purchase of production equipment. Therefore, a systematic decision-making tool becomes crucial to reduce the subjectivity among stakeholders. The most crucial production tool in the plywood industry is the press machine. The implementation of Fuzzy TOPSIS successfully provided an objective recommendation. These recommendations are in the form of rankings that inform the highest to lowest recommendations. The Cold Press Machine AKS - IR50T obtained the highest Cci value of 0.75, which can serve as the basis for decision-making in purchasing production equipment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect the quality of black tea products. This study shows that PT XYZ as a black tea processing company has problems in achieving product quality. This is shown by not achieving the quality target of black tea products, even though the raw materials are relatively in accordance with standards. The analysis used is a cause and effect analysis using a fishbone diagram to determine the causes of product quality problems, as well as the use of pareto analysis and 5-why as a support. Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) is used as a tool to mitigate risks resulting from failure of the production process, the results of which are used for suggested improvements. The results of this study indicate that the factors that influence the quality problems of black tea products include the degree of shoot wilt that does not comply with standards, employees who do not comply with the SOP and the problem of the machine being off during the production process. From these problems, the researcher proposes improvements, namely to tighten the supervisory function in the withering division, improve the supervision system and conduct recruitment or training in the machine maintenance division Keywords: Quality, Black Tea, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Diagram, 5-Why’s Analysis and FMEA

Abstract

Behind the fertility of salak plantations in Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, there are several problems, including 1) fluctuations in the price of salak fruit; 2) the threat of the Mount Merapi eruption; 3) post-eruption economic recovery; and 4) a lack of innovation to optimize the potential of salak plantations. Kembangarum village is one of the areas in Sleman Regency that needs guidance in optimizing the potential of salak fruit on the slopes of Mount Merapi. The program was designed to empower the community by training residents to process salak fruit, peels, and seeds into various products. The method was through field coordination, preparation of tools and materials, program outreach, training, and mentoring, and ended with program evaluation. The program was implemented for five months and has achieved some progress. First, a learning house for residents to produce processed salak has been formed. Second, the creation of residents skilled in processing fruit, peels, and seeds of salak into various processed products with higher selling value with an increase in sales turnover of around 24%. Third, creating pilots for the residents' home industry, along with an offline and online marketing guide, can improve the economic standard of the residents.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the role of intellectual capital in mediating the impact of knowledge management and motivation on halal small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the batik industry in Yogyakarta. Research on the mediating role of intellectual capital is still relatively novel in Indonesia. The study of the batik industry is particularly compelling, given that batik is an intangible asset recognized as UNESCO's cultural heritage. However, there is a noticeable decline in export value year by year. By focusing on halal batik SMEs, this study explores how halal certification can enhance these businesses' market appeal and export potential. The initial step of this research involves collecting data related to the research variables by distributing questionnaires to batik entrepreneurs in Yogyakarta. Subsequently, tests are conducted using PLS to analyze the results, examining the role of intellectual capital in mediating the impact of knowledge management and motivation on halal SMEs in the batik industry in Yogyakarta. The findings provide insights into how intellectual capital can influence the sustainability and growth of batik enterprises, offering strategies to counteract the declining export values and enhance the overall performance of these culturally significant businesses. Originality/Value: Unlike prior research, which focuses on global views and big industry, this study provides valuable insights for halal SMEs, particularly in the batik industry. The findings aim to elucidate how intellectual capital impacts the sustainability and growth of halal batik enterprises. It seeks to offer strategies to mitigate declining export values and enhance the overall performance of these culturally significant businesses, with a particular emphasis on leveraging the opportunities presented by halal certification.
