Abstract

ABSTRAKPada era globalisasi persoalan mengenai pencemaran dan kerusakan lingkungan menjadi suatu permasalahan yang masih belum bisa dipecahkan oleh masyarakat secara berkelanjutan. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah penumpukan limbah seperti limbah pertanian. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengolah limbah pertanian menjadi produk asap cair yang multifungsi dengan menggunakan metode pirolisis.Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan mulai bulan Agustus sampai dengan Desember 2017 di Desa Sukorejo Kecamatan Parengan Kabupaten Tuban dengan kelompok sasaran adalah petani. Metode kegiatan ini meliputi a) penyuluhan dengan tujuan meningkatkan pemahaman petani dalam mengelola limbah pertanian menjadi asap cair, b) Difusi Iptek melalui pembuatan peralatan asap cair dengan menggunakan metode pirolisis, c) Pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam proses pembuatan asap cair berbahan limbah pertanian disertai dengan monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan mitra, terciptanya instalansi alat pembuatan asap cair dan asap cair berbahan limbah pertanian yang multifungsi.  Kata Kunci: Asap cair, Limbah, Pelatihan, Pendampingan, Pestisida.

Abstract

Upaya untuk memenuhi gizi pada bayi adalah dengan memberi asupan yang mengandung senyawa seperti yang ditemukan pada ASI. Kolostrum karbohidrat pada ASI, 24% merupakan oligosakarida. Oligosakarida ASI terbukti mendorong pertumbuhan bakteri baik bifidobakteri di saluran pencernaan, menurunkan resiko infeksi dan diare, meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh serta berperan penting dalam perkembangan otak Karenanya oligosakarida merupakan sumber prebiotik. Bahan penghasil prebiotik oligosakarida termasuk diantaranya umbi porang (Amorphophallus oncopyllus). Jenis bahan pangan lain yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan campuran pembuatan MP-ASI salah satunya adalah wortel. Wortel (Daucus carota L.) merupakan sumber vitamin A bermanfaat bagi kesehatan manusia. Bubur yang dapat menarik para konsumen adalah bubur yang memiliki gizi, vitamin, serta yang paling banyak di pasaran adalah tentang rasa bubur tersebut. Penambahan rasa pada bubur bayi pada MP-ASI ini menggunakan susu bubuk. Tujuan pembuatan produk ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana proses serta memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat tentang teknologi pengolahan bubur MP-ASI. Metode yang digunakan adalah Mixture Design. Hasilnya Produk bubur instan MP-ASI dibuat memalui proses pengolahan yaitu dimulai dari pengupasan, pencucian, pengeringan, pengahlusan, pencampuran bahan-bahan tepung porang, wortel, susu bubuk, minyak nabati, dan sampai pada pengemasan.Uji organoleptik dengan 15 panelis menghasilkan bahwa rasa vanilla lebih disukai dari segi rasa, aroma dan warna, namun tekstur cenderung sama hasilnya.

Abstract

Unrecycled mushroom Baglog waste will become a place for spores to grow so that the spores will spread to the inoculation room, damaging the mushroom Baglog media, which causes crop failure. The right step for utilizing Baglog waste is composting it. A composted Baglog waste will be better if it is added with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (FMA), improving and increasing soil nutrient quality. This study aimed to determine the potential of mushroom Baglog waste compost by adding FMA to groundwater spinach growth (Ipomoea reptans Poir). This study used RAK to treat compost, compost+AFM 10g, compost+AFMA 20g, and compost+AFMA 30g. The study results indicate that Baglog waste compost and FMA have not been able to interact well on the parameters of tendril length, wet weight, and dry weight, as shown by the results that are not significantly different from compost treatment without FMA. Even so, compost waste has the potential to be used as fertilizer or media because it already has physical quality conforming to SNI. Adding FMA to mushroom Baglog waste compost is recommended because it can potentially increase plants' growth rate. The best interaction between Baglog mushroom waste compost and FMA was the compost + 10 g FMA treatment for all observation parameters.

Abstract

Carica pubescens needs a climate and edapic environment similar to that of its native Dieng plains in order to thrive. Due to these circumstances, measures must be taken to facilitate its diffusion. Another option is transplanting to regions with nearly identical edaphic and climatic characteristics. The growth of C. pubescens planted in monoculture and intercropping, as well as the degree of crop competition in intercropping and the effectiveness of the land used, the slopes of Mount Lawu are advised for transplant. The study's planting treatments were as follows: (1) C. pubescens monoculture; (2) Sweet Potato Monoculture; (3) C. pubescens and Sweet Potato Combination; (4) Leek Monoculture; and (5) C. pubescens and Scallions Combination. The study was set up in a randomized block design (RBD) with five replications. The ANOVA analysis of the growth characteristics, which comprised planting height, leaf area, and the number of leaves, was then proceeded using Duncan's test at the 5% level. Utilize the competition ratio (CR) formula to determine plant competition and the land equivalent ratio (LER) formula to determine productivity. The number of leaves parameter in the C. pubescens and sweet potato combination indicated a significant difference in the results. When grown alongside sweet potatoes, C. pubescens tends to be less competitive, with plant height values of 0.86: 1.27, 0.83: 1.72 for leaves, and 0.94: 1.10 for leaf area. The intercropping system is more lucrative with a value of plant height: 1.84, number of leaves: 1.89, and leaf area: 1.99 compared to plant height: 2, number of leaves: 2, and leaf area: 2, 25.

Abstract

Penelitian betujuan untuk menguji efektivitas  pemberian BPF dan  FMA pada pertumbuhan awal tanaman cabai rawit di tanah alfiisol pada musim kemarau. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan 8 kombinasi perlakuan A = Kontrol, B = Pemberian Pupuk P, C = pemberian Bacillus subtilis, D= pemberian FMA, E= Pembrian Pupuk P + Bacillus subtilis, F= Pembrian Pupuk P + Fungi mikoriza Arbuskula, G= pemberian Bacillus subtilis + Fungi mikoriza Arbuskula, H = Pemberian Pupuk P + Bacillus subtilis + FMA dengan 3 kali ulangan sehingga terdapat 24 petak percobaan. Pada penelitian ini faktor lingkungan juga menjadi penentu pertumbuhan awal tanaman cabai dimusim kemarau, sehingga dilakukan pengukuran faktor lingkungan meliputi intensitas cahaya, suhu udara, kelembaban udara, kecepatan angin, suhu tanah, kelembaban tanah, kemudian pengukuran pertumbuhan tanaman meliputi adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan diameter batang. pada umur 21 HST dan 35 HST. Hasil penelitan ini adalah Pemberian perlakuan BPF dan FMA secara mandiri maupun kombinasi mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman meskipun dimusim kemarau kecuali pada perlakuan A (kontrol). Kombinasi perlakuan H (Pupuk P + BPF + FMA) mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman cabai rawit pada umur 35 HST yaitu tinggi tanaman 18.333, jumlah daun 15.22, dan diameter batang 4.0367.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat Desa Ngawun Kecamatan Parengan Kabupaten Tuban dalam memanfaatkam limbah peternakan menjadi kompos. Warga masih memiliki beberapa keterbatasan dalam pengolahan antara lain, 1) pemahaman tentang teknologi pengolahan limbah ternak masih kurang, 2) belum memiliki keterampilan dalam mengelola limbah peternakan sehingga perlu adanya pendampingan dan pelatihan. Metode yang dilakukan dalam program pengabdian masyarakat adalah observasi melalui preetest dan postest, sosialisasi, pendampingan dan pelatihan pembuatan pupuk. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah Program ini berhasil dalam memotifasi warga untuk memanfaatkan limbah ternak menjadi kompos yang ditujukan prosentase preetest yang menjawab “Ya” adalah 31,3% dan “Tidak” 61,7%, namun setelah dilakukan kegiatan pendampingan dan pelatihan dalam pembuatan pupuk kompos prosentase pada posttest meningkat yaitu dengan jawaban “Ya” 80% sedangkan “Tidak” 20%.

Abstract

Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) is a type of lymphoproliferative disorder primarily involving lymph nodes but can extend to extranodal sites like the spleen. When NHL originates in the spleen, it is classified as primary splenic NHL. Due to its unusual presentation, it may resemble other splenic conditions in clinical appearance. In this Journal we report a rare case of splenic lymphoma in a 67-year-old female with symptoms of abdominal pain in the left quadrant of the abdomen. Multislice Computerized Tomography (MSCT) scan of the abdomen to axial pelvis section showed splenomegaly with solid mass et causa suspect splenic lymphoma. The diagnosis of malignant splenic non-Hodgkin lymphoma can be made after splenectomy and histopathology examination which is consistent with clinical and radiologic examination found in the Patient.

Abstract

This community service aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of local residents in utilizing peatlands and processing cow manure into organic fertilizer. The activity was conducted in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, on November 2–3, 2023, with 25 participants. The method included delivering materials, administering a pretest, and conducting hands-on training on producing solid organic fertilizer from cow manure and liquid organic fertilizer from cow urine. The results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding of peatland potential, the benefits of organic fertilizer, and waste processing techniques. All participants expressed readiness to apply and further develop these skills, indicating the success of the program in supporting sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

Yellow leaf curl disease caused by Begomovirus is a significant threat to chili peppers in Indonesia. This disease has been widespread at several chili pepper production centers in Java, Sumatra, Bali, Lombok, and Sulawesi. Tuban Regency is one of the chili peppers (Capsicum frutescens L.) production centers in East Java, but research on Begomovirus infection is still limited. The study aimed to molecularly characterize and identify Begomovirus that infect chili pepper plants in Tuban. The research method includes symptom observation in the field in four subdistricts in Tuban, molecular detection via PCR, and sequences analysis. Types of symptoms found in chili pepper plants in Tuban were yellowing, curling, curving, green mosaic, leaf cupping upward and downward, and reduction in leaf size. All samples from Grabagan, Bancar, Soko, and Jatirogo Subdistricts were infected by Begomovirus based on the AV1 gene (coat protein) using PCR techniques with target 580 bp DNA fragments. Sequence homology results proved that the pepper yellow leaf curl Indonesia virus (PepYLCIV) of the genus Begomovirus infected chili pepper plants in Tuban. The phylogenetic tree demonstrated that all isolates from Tuban (PQ187395 - PQ187398) were closely related and within the same group as the PepYLCIV isolates from Ngablak Subdistrict, Magelang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia (OP846605). These isolates from Tuban formed a separate group from PepYLCV Malaysian isolates (MW389931).

Abstract

Each year, food waste from households, markets, restaurants, and schools continues to increase. Improper management of this waste can harm the environment and contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. A simple, low-cost, and environmentally friendly solution for managing food waste is to process it into an eco-enzyme. This community engagement program aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in creating eco-enzymes as a practical approach to addressing food waste issues. The activity was conducted at MA Islamiyah Kedungjambe in Tuban and involved 39 students from the XI grade, focusing on both science and social studies tracks. The methods used included interactive socialization and hands-on training in eco-enzyme production, utilizing a mixture of fruit peels, brown sugar, and water in a 3:1:10 ratio, followed by a three-month fermentation process. The resulting eco-enzyme had a fresh, fermented aroma and was free from unpleasant odours. It can be used as a liquid organic fertilizer for plants. The results indicated high enthusiasm among participants, along with a significant increase in their understanding and interest in making eco-enzymes independently at home. This activity effectively fostered environmental awareness among students and is recommended for implementation in other schools as part of sustainable environmental education.
