Abstract

Increasing the resources and progress of the Hindus in Gianyar regency seems to require a process, the government's efforts in improving human resources both in the field of development and religious education, all of which cannot be separated from the readiness of leaders in an organization in providing services. In the management of the field of counseling of Hindus by non-civil servant counselor, in order to create the strengthening of work culture, in the process of achieving progress, the increase of human resources in religious field, commitment and efforts from religious counselor to carry out their duties and obligations as public servants is a manifestation of karma marga. Efforts to improve intellectual education and counseling to Hindus done by the religious counselor continue to be improved in order to educate and promote the Hindus in Gianyar regency. This is done in accordance with Law no. 20 of 2003, article 30, paragraph 2 states that religious education serves to prepare students to become members of the community who understand and practice the values of religious teachings. Strengthening the work culture of the counselor makes efficient effectiveness, if the counselor has performed performance based on schedule. Organizational culture in a government or private institution that is applied strongly and positively will make management efficient and effective, because it produces things like; values, behaviors, deliberations, and mission-oriented activities.

Abstract

Communication in a ritual perspective is about the process that occur in religious ceremonies. The process of the ceremony involves the interaction that is carried out by the implementation of ceremonies such as the tegen sawa in Ngaben ceremony at Babakan Gerung, especially in Banjar Suka Wardaya. This ritual is carried out when there are banjar residents who died in a sequent within a few days. The essence of the ritual emphasizes the role of women in shoulder sawa. This study aims to determine the form of communication, communication processes and the meaning of communication that exist in tegen sawa rituals at Ngaben ceremony in Babakan Gerung. This study uses a qualitative paradigm with a phenomenology. Religious theory, symbolic interaction theory, phenomenological theory, and communicative action theory are used in expressing the processes that occur in this ritual. The location of this research is at Banjar Suka Wardaya, Babakan, Gerung Utara, West Lombok. The techniques to collected data in this study is by observation, interviews and documentation. Informants were determined by purposive technique. The results of this study indicate the ritual implementation of tegen sawa performed by women is able to solve the phenomena that occur. The form of tegen sawa ritual communication in the Ngaben ceremony is interpersonal communication and group communication. The communication process that occurred began with a phenomenon that occurred in the community so that the Kelihan Banjar held dialogue with the members of the banjar, the family of the seda and Sulinggih. The ritual is carried out based on mutual agreement and also carried out together by the banjar’s members. The meaning of ritual communication in the ceremony of Ngaben tegen sawa of religious meaning, togetherness, education and social culture.

Abstract

The view of one-sided truth claims that do not recognize the existence of other truths outside of themselves has resulted in disharmony in social relations resulting in rifts between components of society in a large group that vows to become one nation which is different but still has one common goal. The purpose of this study was to find the inculcation of the value of religious moderation through education in Hindu families in Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara Province. This research is a qualitative study of the roles and strategies of Hindu families in the city of Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara, in instilling the value of moderation in children from an early age so that they can build relationships later in the heterogeneous society of Mataram City. From this study it was found that the role of the family as the main and first place of education was realized by Hindu family parents in the city of Mataram. The family also takes on the role of instilling the value of moderation as a provision and a form of adaptation for children to live in society later. The strategy applied is to use the story method and encourage heterogeneous association for children.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon that the learning process that takes place at the Giri Aji Sengkongo pasraman is less attractive to students. Interest as a form of motivation should be an energy that is always present in an effort to improve the quality of education. Students' interest in learning is very important because without students' interest in participating in learning, the material provided will not arrive in its entirety. This study aims to reveal the factors causing the lack of interest in learning Hindu students at the Giri Aji Sengkongo pasraman and describe the efforts to increase the learning interest of Hindu students at the Giri Aji Sengkongo pasraman. This research is a qualitative research with data collection using non-participant observation techniques, structured interviews and documentation studies. The data that has been collected is then analyzed by means of data reduction, data verification, and conclusion drawing. The theory used in the data analysis of field findings is Maslow's theory of motivation. The research findings indicate that several factors cause the students' lack of interest in learning at the Giri Aji Sengkongo boarding school in the form of lack of infrastructure, students get bored quickly, monotonous learning methods, and lack of teaching staff. Furthermore, the efforts made to overcome this are teachers always motivating students, intensive communication between teachers and students' parents, giving pocket money, reward and punishment, requesting assistance, empowering stakeholders.

Abstract

Manajemen pendidikan dan hubungan masyarakat (humas) adalah dua aspek yang saling terkait dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Humas memiliki peran penting dalam mempromosikan institusi pendidikan agar dapat menarik minat calon siswa dan memberikan informasi yang akurat dan transparan kepada masyarakat. Hal ini juga berlaku untuk Pasraman, lembaga pendidikan Hindu yang mempromosikan kepercayaan Hindu dan filsafat hidup. Dalam penelitian ini, metode telaah kepustakaan digunakan untuk mengumpulkan, menelaah, dan menganalisis literatur yang berkaitan dengan kehumasan dalam mendukung pendidikan Pasraman. Dengan adanya humas yang efektif, Pasraman dapat membangun citra dan reputasi yang baik, menarik minat calon siswa, memperluas jangkauan masyarakat, dan meningkatkan hubungan dengan orang tua siswa.

Abstract

Disciplinary character is important in the world of education. The problem of disciplinary character that occurs at Elementary School 11 Cakranegara is some students play during tri sandhya activities, pay less attention to the teacher's explanation, and are also indifferent to the tasks given by the teacher. This study aims to provide information about the role of Hindu Religious Teachers in improving students' disciplinary character. The problems studied are The disciplinary character of 5th-grade students at Elementary School 11 Cakranegara; The role of Hinduism teachers in improving the disciplinary character of 5th-grade students; Efforts made by Hinduism teachers in improving the disciplinary character of 5th-grade students at Elementary School 11 Cakranegara. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach method. Through observation, interview, and documentation data collection techniques. The results showed: 1. The disciplinary character of 5th-grade students is good enough. It is proven that they have fulfilled the existing discipline character indicators. 2. The role of Hinduism teachers in improving the disciplinary character of 5th-grade students is vital. The role consists of Teachers as educators and teachers, facilitators, motivators, and demonstrators. 3. Efforts made by Hinduism teachers in improving the disciplinary character of 5th-grade students: Reprimanding students, guiding students, making picket schedules in groups, providing coaching and direction to students, making a schedule for the leader of sradha bhakti activities, and providing sanctions or punishments that are educational.

Abstract

The background of this study highlights the pervasive threat of radicalism and intolerance within the educational environment, impacting a portion of students and scholars with anti-Pancasila views, thereby posing a danger to social harmony. Urgent measures are necessary to address this situation before more widespread damage occurs. Employing a qualitative and exploratory approach, this research aims to develop an educational framework within the Non-Formal Pasraman in West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Both primary and secondary data are collected and analyzed using an inductive method. In efforts to curb radicalism, Pasraman adopts a preventive approach, focusing on the soft approach. Strategies such as introducing moderation values, exhibiting positive behavioral models, interfaith dialogue, active learning, and engaging in social services are identified as means to fortify the inculcation of religious moderation values. Strategic recommendations to enhance the quality of religious moderation education in non-formal Pasraman involve improving teacher qualifications, collaborating with relevant institutions, developing pertinent learning resources, and fostering inclusive and diverse educational approaches

Abstract

The era of modernization presents significant challenges to ethical values and character, emphasizing the urgency of strengthening character education. Hindu philosophy, particularly the concept of Tri Guna, offers a relevant framework to address these challenges. This research aims to thoroughly analyze the relevance and potential application of the Tri Guna values (Sattwa, Rajas, Tamas) as a philosophical foundation for strengthening Hindu character education in the midst of modernization. The research method employed is library research with a qualitative approach, analyzing various primary and secondary literature sources descriptively and interpretatively. Research findings indicate that Tri Guna effectively maps the dynamics of basic human nature and provides guidance for character development. A balanced management of Sattwa (goodness/purity), Rajas (activity/passion), and Tamas (darkness/inertia) is identified as key to building integrity, moral resilience, and individual adaptability in facing the complexities of modern life. It is concluded that the Tri Guna concept holds strong relevance and strategic value as a basis for strengthening character education in the modern era, contributing to the formation of a generation with superior, balanced character capable of making positive contributions to society.
