Abstract

Character is a positive values and attitude of life, which is owned by a person so that it influences behavior, way of thinking, acting and ultimately becomes a culture. A person's character will be formed if given positive touches, both physically, mentally and spiritually. One method used is through the practice of yoga asanas as applied at the Ashram Gandhi Puri Sevagram Klungkung. The practice of yoga asanas with the principle of the ashram is able to have implications for changing the character of students towards noble characters. This study focuses on issues concerning the process of forming student’s character through yoga asana exercises and character values ​​formed in students through Yoga asana practice at Ashram Gandhi Puri Sevagram Klungkung. This type of research is qualitative. Data from informants in this research was collected using a purposive technique and to obtain data used several techniques, namely participant observation, in-depth structured interviews, literature studies and documentation studies that were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results found that the process of character formation of Ashram students through three stages called kriya yoga, namely Tapah, Svadhyaya, and Isvara Pranidhana. In the Tapah stage, a yoga class is conducted which is correlated with panca kramaning sembah. Character values ​​that are formed from the process of yoga asana practice at Ashram Gandhi Puri are the values ​​of discipline, the value of curiosity, the value of responsibility, the value of hard work, creative value, religious value, and honest values

Abstract

ABSTRAKTulisan ini bertujuan untuk mempublikasikan hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di Pasraman Amertha Sanjiwani, Dusun Rincung, Desa Banyu Urip, Kecamatan Gerung, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Kegiatan yang ditekankan pada tulisan ini adalah mengenai penanaman nilai-nilai Pendidikan Agama Hindu atau nilai karakter mulia kepada para siswa pasraman. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dalam enam rangkaian kegiatan, yang mencakup Perencanaan Kegiatan Pengabdian, Survei Lokasi, Analisis Kebutuhan Pengabdian, Perencanaan Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu, Penanaman Nilai Pendidikan Agama Hindu dan Evaluasi Kegiatan. Melalui kegiatan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu, penanaman nilai karakter dapat dilakukan melalui pendekatan holistic dan mempertimbangkan faktor kultur yang berlaku di masyarakat. Dengan memperhatikan protokol kesehatan Covid-19, pembelajaran dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan metode Dharma Wacana dikolaborasikan dengan metode Dharma Tula dan Demonstrasi. Kombinasi tiga metode belajar tersebut mampu membuat siswa antusias belajar. Sebagai hasil kegiatan, terlihat mulai tertanam benih-benih nilai religius, ramah tamah dan sopan santun, disiplin dan sikap peduli pada diri siswa. Hal ini tentunya menjadi tanggung jawab bersama untuk mampu menjaga berkembangnya nilai positif pada siswa yang akan berimplikasi pada kemajuan masyarakat ke depannya. Kata Kunci: penanaman nilai; pendidikan; agama hindu; pasraman. ABSTRACTThis paper aims to publish the results of community service activities carried out at the Amertha Sanjiwani Pasraman, Rincung Hamlet, Banyu Urip Village, Gerung District, West Lombok Regency. The activities emphasized in this paper are about internalisation Hindu religious education values or noble character values to pasraman students. Service activities are carried out in six series of activities, which include Service Activity Planning, Location Surveis, Needs Analysis, Hindu Religious Education Learning Planning, Hindu Religious Education Values and Evaluation. Through Hindu Religious Education learning activities, the internalisation of character values can be done through a holistic approach and considers cultural factors that apply in society. By paying attention to the Covid-19 health protokol, learning is carried out by applying the Dharma Wacana method in collaboration with the Dharma Tula and Demonstration methods. The combination of the three learning methods is able to make students enthusiastic about learning. As a result of the activity, it seems that the seeds of religious values, hospitality and courtesy, discipline and caring attitudes are starting to be planted in students. This is of course a shared responsibility to be able to maintain the development of positive values in students which will have implications for the progress of society in the future. Keywords: value internalisation; education; hinduism; pasraman.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the results of scientific study related to efforts to prevent the desacralization of temples as tourist destinations. This is based on the fact that there are many temples that have an attraction to be visited by domestic and foreign tourists. On the one hand, the adoption of temples as tourist destinations provides many advantages, especially from an economic perspective. However, irresponsible actions often occur by tourism actors, both managers and tourists themselves. Various cases of temple abuse occurred in Bali which indicated that there was an error in the management of temple tourist destinations. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection in the form of literature review and technical analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results obtained from this study, that there are several temples in Lombok which are tourist destinations because they are unique in terms of history, place, and shape. The existence of the temple as a tourist destination has challenges in the the ethics of entering the temple which spiritually will affect the level of sanctity (sacred) of the temple. To anticipate this, it is necessary to revitalize the teachings of Hindu religious education to all tourism actors through the concepts of Tri Hita Karana, Tri Kaya Parisudha and Catur Paramita.Keyword: desacralization, temple, tourist destinations, Hindu religious education.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the benefits of yoga practice for mental health, especially in the Covid-19 pandemic era. This research uses qualitative research methods with literary and empirical approaches. The data obtained came from several textbooks, such as the Yoga Sutra Patanjali and several other supporting literacies, as well as phenomena that occurred in the field. During the Covid-19 pandemic, many people often experienced mental health problems, such as feelings of fear, panic, worry, anxiety and uncertain economic conditions. In a spiritual science approach, this can be overcome by applying the teachings of Yoga. The Yoga teachings were developed by Maharsi Patanjali, contained in the Yoga Sutra Patanjali and the essence of their teachings is known as asthanga yoga. In order to maintain mental health in the midst of a pandemic, proper yoga practices include the practice of asanas, pranayama and meditation. The research results showed that the practice of yoga, including asana, pranayama and meditation, was able to provide positive benefits to mental health in the midst of a pandemic, both in an effort to maintain mental health and as a form of self-healing for those with mental health disorders.Keyword : Pandemic, Mental health, Yoga.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an analysis of the application of Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory in online learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of a literature study. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the application of Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory can provide solutions to various obstacles found in the practice of online learning. The fulfillment of physiological needs, the need for security, the need for love and affection, the need for self-esteem, and the need for self-actualization will give students the confidence to keep their motivation in learning. Maintaining motivation which is the driving energy in learning provides space for teachers to be able to carry out learning according to planning so that learning outcomes become more optimal. Through this study, it is hoped that a positive paradigm will begin to build that online learning can be carried out effectively and efficiently so that it can be an option in the implementation of learning not only during the Covid-19 pandemic. Keywords: online learning, learning, motivation, Maslow's theory.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untu mengkaji pengaruh teman sebaya terhadap motivasi belajar seseorang khususnya dalam mata pelajaran Agama Hindu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan analisis data secara teoretis mengacu pada Teori Belajar Sosial. Data-data yang tersaji dalam tulisan ini merupakan hasil studi pustaka baik dari media cetak maupun media elektronik mengenai teori belajar sosial, serta hasil pengamatan langsung peneliti. Berdasarkan hasil kajian ditemukan bahwa kelompok teman sebaya dapat menjadi sebuah role model bagi personal kelompok yang kemudian terimbas atas pengaruh dominan yang diakui dalam kelompok. Dalam konteks belajar, keberadaan kelompok teman sebaya ini secara positif dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, termasuk motivasi belajar Agama Hindu. Hal ini dikaitkan dengan proses pembelajaran yang dilalui pada pembelajaran sosial Bandura, yaitu fase perhatian (attentional phase), fase retensi (retentional phase), fase produksi (production phase), dan fase motivasi (motivational phase). Pada fase perhatian, personal kelompok akan melakukan pengamatan (observasi) serta penilaian atas personal yang lain, kemudian pada fase retensi personal akan mengingat kembali bagaimana pola perilaku dominan dalam kelompok teman sebaya. Selanjutnya akan muncul fase produksi sebagai bentuk perilaku yang muncul atas interaksi yang telah dilakukan, hingga muncul fase terakhir, yaitu fase motivasi. Pada fase terakhir inilah menjadi titik tolak dari sebuah interaksi, yang mana masing-masing personal saling memotivasi satu sama lain. Melalui hasil penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai ide atau pandangan baru dalam menyikapi masalah motivasi belajar Agama Hindu dengan memperhatikan lingkungan pertemanannya.

Abstract

Community service through Balinese script training for students of the Dharma Amertha Sari Pasraman has great meaning and significance for efforts to preserve non-material culture and local wisdom passed down by Balinese ancestors. Even though they have settled on the Lombok Island which is the original residence of the Sasak people, the responsibility for preserving this culture still lies with the younger generation. This Balinese script training activity is carried out in four stages, namely Define (defining/exploring problems), Design (designing the service concept to be carried out), Develop (developing material that will be used as material in training activities), and Dissemination (dissemination of information/material provided designed for students). The methods applied in the training activities are in the form of lecture methods, practice methods and discussion methods. Through the implementation of the training stages and methods that have been designed at the end of the training activities, students of the Dharma Amertha Sari Pasraman have a basic understanding for learning Balinese script in the future, so that they can become part of preserving culture and local wisdom.

Abstract

The writing of this article aims to describe the results of yoga training activities in sisya pasraman and practice skills to strengthen the understanding of the essence of Hindu educational values. This study is qualitative with a case study approach on yoga training activities. Data collection techniques use participant observation models, interviews and document studies, which are analyzed using data triangulation techniques. Based on the results of the data analysis, sisya is very enthusiastic about learning the yoga movements given by the coaches. In addition to the process and concept of yoga, teachings contain character values, one of which is religious character and discipline, reflected in the teachings of morals, namely tri kaya parisudha, the concept of parhyangan, the teachings of panca Yama brata and panca nyama brata. Yoga training and writing activities of this article are expected to provide benefits in the form of resource development of Hindus of character and can become a reference library for relevant activities in the future.  Keywords: Hinduism, Character, Pasraman, Yoga.   Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan hasil kegiatan pelatihan yoga pada sisya pasraman selain melatih keterampilan juga untuk menguatkan pemahaman akan esensi nilai-nilai pendidikan Hindu. Kajian ini berjenis kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada kegiatan pelatihan yoga. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan model observasi partisipan, wawancara dan studi dokumen­tasi, yang dianalisis menggunakan teknik trianggulasi data. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data didapatkan bahwa sisya sangat antusias dalam mem­pelajari gerakan-gerakan yoga yang diberikan oleh para pelatih, di samping itu dalam proses dan konsepnya ajaran yoga mengandung nilai-nilai karakter salah satunya adalah karakter religius dan disiplin yang tercermin dalam ajaran susila yaitu tri kaya parisudha, konsep parhyangan dan ajaran panca yama brata dan panca nyama brata. Kegiatan pelatihan yoga dan penulisan artikel ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat berupa pembangunan sumber daya umat Hindu yang berkarakter dan dapat menjadi pustaka rujukan bagi kegiatan yang relevan di masa depan. Abstract

This research aims to describe and examine the obstacles and obstacles to the life process of religious moderation in Hindu learning in high school education in Mataram City. The city of Mataram consists of a reasonably plural community life, including the lives of people who adhere to diverse religions, with most Muslims. Tolerance among religious believers is capital in building hope for the development of a harmonious life in the community. Hindu learning in high schools becomes a habituation in building the foundation of moderate religious life. However, its integration in learning has obstacles that will undoubtedly hinder the acceleration of the development of religious moderation among students as a national resource. This study uses qualitative research with a case study approach with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and document studies. Based on the results of the study and analysis of the data, there are obstacles and obstacles in the form of not optimal learning in the learning process of religious moderation in Hindu religious education. This is because the material on religious moderation has not been directly written. However, in essence, it is contained in materials such as yajna values, catur asrama, upaveda, catur Warna, Vedic as a source of Hindu law and dasa Yama and nyama brata as a teaching of self-control in Hinduism. It is hoped that through this study, Hindu students at the high school level can understand and implement religious moderation learning in building a harmonious and tolerant life when entering society. This study can also be a reference library for relevant research in the future.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon that the learning process that takes place at the Giri Aji Sengkongo pasraman is less attractive to students. Interest as a form of motivation should be an energy that is always present in an effort to improve the quality of education. Students' interest in learning is very important because without students' interest in participating in learning, the material provided will not arrive in its entirety. This study aims to reveal the factors causing the lack of interest in learning Hindu students at the Giri Aji Sengkongo pasraman and describe the efforts to increase the learning interest of Hindu students at the Giri Aji Sengkongo pasraman. This research is a qualitative research with data collection using non-participant observation techniques, structured interviews and documentation studies. The data that has been collected is then analyzed by means of data reduction, data verification, and conclusion drawing. The theory used in the data analysis of field findings is Maslow's theory of motivation. The research findings indicate that several factors cause the students' lack of interest in learning at the Giri Aji Sengkongo boarding school in the form of lack of infrastructure, students get bored quickly, monotonous learning methods, and lack of teaching staff. Furthermore, the efforts made to overcome this are teachers always motivating students, intensive communication between teachers and students' parents, giving pocket money, reward and punishment, requesting assistance, empowering stakeholders.
