Abstract

The province of Maluku has a rich potential of natural resources, particulary for metallic mineral such as gold and copper. To map this potential, human resources with competence in exploration engineering are needed. In 2017, SMK PGRI Ambon opened a new major in geological mining to prepare human resource who are ready to contribute to managing the mineral resources in Maluku Province. However, due to the lack of competence in subsurface exploration techniques, the Community Service team has partnered with SMK PGRI Ambon to support the competence of geological mining students in the field of subsurface exploration technique. This community service program uses the Service Learning method, which consists of several stages: 1) coordination, 2) activity preparation, 3) theoretical training on geoelectric method, 4) practical sessions on the geoelectrical method, and 5) evaluation of training results. The community service program was attended by 31 geological mining students from grades X to XII. The theoretical training and practical sessions on the geoelectric method were conducted on August 19-20, 2025. For the training session, the community service team provided theoretical material on the geoelectric method. For the practical session, students were taught how to use geoelectric equipment. Subsequently, they were also given material on processing geoelectric data and interpreting subsurface layers. The evaluation results indicate that the theoretical training on the geoelectric method successfully improved knowledge competence, with the average knowledge score increasing from 43.23 to 62.58. This community service activity has directly contributed to assisting SMK PGRI Ambon in providing knowledge and skills to its geological mining students.

Abstract

The quality of clean water used has been a top priority to maintain health and fulfill daily needs. There are many sources of clean water, including well water, bottled water, gallon water and PDAM water. The use of clean water in Poka Village still uses well water and gallon water, so there is concern among the community regarding the cleanliness and quality of the water. Therefore, this service is carried out to help answer public anxiety by introducing Drinking Water Quality Standards that have been determined in the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010. Apart from that, we also show findings of polluted well water and also provide solutions on how to care for wells. During material delivery activities, we use an educational and participatory approach with the main focus being the community. The result of this service activity is that the community in Poka Village has good knowledge regarding drinking water quality standards so that it is hoped that the community can apply them in their daily lives.

Abstract

Tanah longsor merupakan salah satu bencana alam yang sering terjadi pada lereng perbukitan maupun pengunungan. Kota Ambon didominasi wilayah perbukitan sekitar 73%, sehingga termasuk wilayah yang rawan bencana longsor. Wilayah perbukitan yang menjadi perhatian pada kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat adalah bukit yang berada di sekitaran Pura Siwa Stana Giri Ambon. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui klasifikasi massa batuan di sekitar Pura. Hal ini dilakukan sebagai bentuk antisipasi terhadap potensi tanah longsor yang dapat terjadi sewaktu-waktu sebagai akibat tingginya intensitas curah hujan. Kestabilan lereng merupakan suatu kondisi dimana lereng tersebut dalam keadaan yang mantap atau stabil terhadap suatu bentuk dan dimensi lereng. Kegiatan ini terdiri atas dua tahap, yaitu tahap pengamatan dan pengukuran bidang-bidang diskontinuitas di lereng bukit sekita Pura dan pengolahan data di laboratorium. Pengambilan data lapangan menggunakan metode scanline. Metode pengolahan data yang digunakan dalam Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan geologi dengan metode rock mass rating (RMR). Kegiatan ini memberikan informasi mengenai kondisi lereng perbukitan sekitar Pura. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, lereng tersebut termasuk dalam kelas III yang tergolong dalam klasifikasi massa batuan dengan tingkat sedang. Adapun nilai RMR adlah 52.
